Didn’t watch the movie but loved your post.

Sai never meant what she said on stage. She always has this habit of choosing wrong words effected by situation.It is her core charecter.

I am surprised by Virat taking her words to heart. Doesn’t he know how much she cherished his care and concern ! So many times she thanked him for doing what he did. Now how can he think that she distanced him? she spoke in such a way because she was hurt by him. She doesn’t care even if the whole family supported her,only Virat matters for her.

If he had gone on stage and hugged her complementing her success,she would have forgotten everything and felt happy.

I hope like you said ,these two also will overcome their differences and unite for a lifetime.

This Shriti track is unbearable and I feel for Sai like I felt for Virat in post anniversary track.

I too am surprised he asked her back. Hurt I understand bout didn’t expect he would ask her back. May be the questioning did that to him 😅

Watched Atrangi re yesterday, and I loved it. Ofcourse, Rinku's trauma runs way deeper than Sai's. But the grief is almost the same, both of them lost their parents in front of their eyes, and then they landed in a house where they were only berated.

Rinku fortunately found uncinditional love and she could finally free herself from the shackles of her past trauma. Sai is yet to find the unconditional love and acceptance to bring her walls down and see others in a new light.

Yeah she will find eventually. The difference between vishu and virat is that vishu understands things from rinkus perspective from the beginning. Virat still gets lost in his pain and rejection. :)

Vishi and Dhanush were the best thing in the movie🥺, although his love realisation seemed super fast to me😬

In Atrangi, its a little crazy that Vishu falls in love with a girl he was forcibly married to so randomly. He was engaged to his long time steady girlfriend and he has zero guilt about breaking her heart mercilessly and theres no real premise for him loving Rinku at all. its really sudden. So why he comes to "love" Rinku is not really well etched out. That for me is the biggest drawback of the movie. They are suddenly " in love" without any real reason...they have no matching wavelength nor do they have any core values in common... especially vishu. Atleast rinku sees his protective side where he stands up to his family n to be in laws for her sake, is respectful of her space etc. But exactly why does Vishu love Rinku was never shown. It seems like attraction and also sympathy not really love.

But once "in love" , he really goes out of the way for her and knows exactly how she will react because he can read her. He makes her choose him voluntarily and not out of compulsion because her imaginary boyfriend is dead. He also knew in the climax that Rinku will return to him. He is so sure that he buys sweets and new clothes because he knows that she will come back. That bit definitely struck a chord.

I saw many many loopholes in Atrangi. It wasnt a tight script. It was far too casual in the treatment of mental illness too n i hated that scene of breaking bottles on his head to prove his love. What crap. But despite all that it was still an engaging tale due to the earnestness in the way it unfolds.

In Ghkkpm, they have the luxury of time. They have over time shown how Virat and Sai grow to have feelings for each other after seeing each other from close quarters n looking past each others flaws. Yet Virat hasnt been able to read Sai at all nor does he try! Thats a shame. Sai cant read him because he is a pendulum. But she definitely tries. Everytime she haq seh stakes claim on him, demands things from him- she is let down....yet she sees the best of him. In the Sai-Sam scene post Sam's return, Sai could have spoken bitterly about pp's nonstop interference in the marriage, the umpteen instances of Virat making her feel like a teesra in her own marriage but she chose to look past it and acknowledge everything he did for Sai and also recognized that his soft corner for pp didn't cross any physical boundaries. She didn't color Sam with any negative things to make him prejudiced or biased even though she was so hurt by hearing yoga teacher rave about virat pp chemistry etc.

Virat though constantly overlooks Sai's insecurities and concerns. Repeatedly Sai has brought up pp-him, she literally put her heart out there as she spoke of losing him, having him be distant because of Shruti, feeling lonely, wanting his full attention and time without distractions especially when HE promised her. He took the day off supposedly to be there for Sai n he was missing without so much as a text. So Virat comes across as someone who basically takes Sai for granted. Kuch bhi karo, then feel guilty but end mein ro-dho ke, emotional manipulation karke Sai ko rok lo. As soon as she agrees to stay, his guilt is also gone.

Virat never felt bad because she failed to acknowledge his efforts or support . He has a monologue stating that . He was hurt when she said she doesn’t have anyone as her own . Virat was always insecure of his position in her life due to Sai’s words and actions . In the anniversary track , she has repeatedly made him feel the relationship is nothing but deal and compromise for her . He did put all this back and tired to read her actions , that’s why we see him not being bitter after her accident because he understood her actions ignoring her bitter words . The feeling was back when she again confirmed his suspicion that he means nothing to her . In the show , Virat’s insecurities, hurt have been ignored while giving prominence to Sai’s feelings .

For once I am happy that he took offense . Sai when she is insecure shows that by questioning his character and belittling his efforts which takes away the focus from her insecurities . It’s time Sai learnt to not deal with her issues in public . It’s time Virat learnt to stand up for himself . It was downright insulting what she did and glad Virat expressed it .

Yes vishu’s love is a quick love just like virat’s. Vishu tells her in Tamil that he thought he was in love before but his love for rinku (possibly when he saw her in railway station in distress) confused him. He says that it makes him angry that he is not feeling bad about his broken engagement. He was very calculated about his life till then but rinku changed it. I don’t know whether it is possible on real life but vishu’s talk sets it as unconditional from the beginning.

virat’s love for sai also is such. He took no time falling in love with sai. He realized his feelings for pakhi is superficial. The only issue is he doesn’t see from her perspective as Vishu does. He puts his hurt before hers. Yesterday sai asked him to see her beyond words. But he is in such a mess and no let out of his own emotions that he barely focusses on her.

He is usually patient with her but now he has no time to explain her things. He is causing more damage in his own denial. I don’t think he will process anything now in this mess and cause even more damage

Yeah what I am saying is he usually is patient in understanding her but now the circumstances forced him to be blurry. I was surprised when he asked her about her speech. The usual virat doesn’t let it out. Like in the monologue. I am glad he did it because sometimes it is better he shows her that he has expectations too!

I think Virats attraction to Sai was quick - immediate almost. Even her mention sparked his interest n right from get go she made an impact on him BUT his love definitely took time. He took time to recognize his feelings. He only called his feelings love when he saw her goodness, her heart of gold, saw her sensitive side that she hides behind her brash exterior, her selflessness, her childlike innocence, her ability to enjoy the simple joys of life, live in the present and soeak her mind and also ability to keep aside her ego/hurt to do things for others.... so his love realization happened slowly only after he saw all this. Until then he was attracted to her and cared for her as a guardian...
