There is SO MUCH truth in every line of this post. I left this show right after Sai went to Gadchiroli because of the Devyani incident, for very similar reasons. Apart from the abuse Virat subjects Sai to and all the illegal things he does, the basic problem of this show is the inconsistency of its characters. The Sai of last week doesn't align with this week's Sai, the Virat of last week doesn't align with this week's! They have put zero thought into these characters, and this is what frustrated me to the extent that that I couldn't bring myself to watch this show again. I don't even know how it happened, just woke up one day and didn't feel like watching that day's episode, and this continued for months.

This was why I left the forum, too. Here we were, analysing every blink of any eye, every action of these characters, and the writers weren't even putting 1% of our efforts. I started feeling slightly worthless. It's not to demean or demoralise any one, it's good that you still enjoy it! I think I just didn't have the patience anymore.

Btw I'm sure most of y'all don't remember me because I was never very active, but it was good to drop in and say hello!

I remember you...Jumped in to see what you have written the moment I saw your name in the last reply of this thread..

I think you're absolutely right about the whole issue with consistency. Humans in general are flawed. We're arrogant, duplicitous, conceited and plain evil sometimes. At the same time, we can be kind, graceful and angels on earth. So, when we create characters, we reflect these qualities in them. Amazingly written characters are not necessarily positive. Sometimes, they're just evil. Joker is a perfect example of it. It should be glaringly obvious in a character that they stay true to whatever they're being portrayed as. Character growth or character slump is different from character consistency, I just wish makers would understand that.

Seldom, I think amongst the three leads that the show's trying to portray, audience's comprehension of Patralekha has been the most consistent. It is not necessarily in line with what makers intended her to be. They wanted her to be shown as a jilted lover, unfortunately she is written, portrayed and perceived as a vengeful person. I really don't know whom to blame for that.

I feel like the show sometimes is irritating because it doesn't stick to genre in its portrayal. The fulcrum or the central aspect of the show is something I can't pinpoint even after 300 episodes. Is it love or family drama or the infamous Ek tarfa pyaar or is it a revenge story ? The minute we fixate onto a genre and resign to ourselves that yes, this is it, the makers just shift the whole dynamics of the show. So far, that has been the most irritating factor about the show for me. Because, if one understands the fulcrum of something, one can take as much evilness as it delivers. Simply because one expects it.

They should've tweaked the storyline after ousting track & improvised (cos it should've brought a complete & permanent change in him) Virat's character instead of copy/pasting and keeping him similiar to his OG counterpart, continue being spineless, toxic & never taking a stand for her. Also, in the process of tonning down Imon's brashness in Sai they've turned her beyond submissive that she now looks like a half doormat which Imon never was.

Virat's character does this momentarily good things then goes back to being toxic towards Sai. It's going on a repeat circle since their marriage. He was being a douche to her from the job losing track to Pakhi's departure from CN then he was good in college admission track of Sai then again Amay track which contained till vasant panchami then again he was likeable to PD lunch track.

Sai is too tired to fight back at this moment.. Mentally and physically...

This show has crossed all the limits normalising domestic violence.. I don't know what will happen after the accident track.. BUT I honestly don't want such guy next to Sai..

That's the issue I am having and why I didn't watch the crap for a week. Virat being hurt is fine as Sai's words were too harsh but he should have stayed hurt only. Why get so hurt that he is losing it ? His anger is not justified. I applauded when he broke all ties because enough of Sai taking him for granted but when he broke all ties he shouldn't show his anger either. Kyun gussa karna kispe gussa karna jab kuch hai hi nahin. This is the Virat I am not liking. I would gladly take an indifferent Virat than the beast he is becoming day by day.

Same way I miss the old savage Sai, the mentally strong. She is also losing it. She wants Virat so badly that Pakhi's presence is irking her the wrong way. I rather see her fighting for some other things like she used to before than her obsession with Pakhi.

Their extreme worst sides of them has ruined the show. They will say something and then contradict themselves in the same episode. Pakhi Pakhi Pakhi... can they fight on other things ? Can they have a proper separation so that they calm themselves down and then come back better ?

You'll get there, don't worry about it. It's very hard to force yourself to leave a show. Just watch until indifference sets in naturally. I saw a glimpse of Sai and Virat's romantic scene somewhere a month ago, and felt absolutely nothing. Like zilch. Sigh, it all seems so long ago now 💔💔
