Samrat as a brother

Let me first start with a disclaimer that i havent watched the episodes in the last couple of weeks. Whatever i am writing abt is from what i have gathered from written updates and discussions on the forum.

So the last couple of days i have seen plenty appreciation posts on Samrat's role as a brother to Sai. And today i read abt Devi Tais stand and she speaking up in front of Samrat.

Does this mean that Samrat didn't know that Devi Tai would be locked in room by Bhavani and Co? How the hell is that possible? Wasn't Samrat staying at CN then? How can they show that Samrat had so much concern for Sai and absolutely none for Devi Tai? This is where makers are making a joke of their own characters. So damn inconsistent. People are appreciating that Samrat was a wonderful brother to Sai and so on and so forth? But why didn't he nibhav his farz towards Devi Tai? If Virat was a failure as a brother to Devi Tai then so is Samrat.

And don't tell me that Samrat knew nothing of it he was in the army. As far as the plot is shown Devi had been jailed at home for 10 years. And Samrat knew nothing of it at all in all these years? Hasn't Samrat also failed miserably in his role as a brother to Devi Tai the one and only sister that he grew up with. He is suddenly getting all brotherly feelings towards Sai because of the current state of affairs between him and Virat. Otherwise I feel it would not bother Samrat had his relation with Virat was good.

I wanted to understand the all your perspective on this.

No samrat's sisterly feeling for sai ..is not because of current friction between samrat and virat...

Virat is his dear brother and virat's wife will surely be his dear sister too...no doubt in that...

Regarding devi tai...i always had a doubt why both virat and samrat never bothered to know about the reason behind Devi's illness...i don't what ashwini and mansi...bhavani all might have told them...

You have a very valid point. And that's where the makers faltered. No clarity in story telling. Samrat was missing for only 1 year. Whereas Devi Tai was being jailed since last 10 years or so as u mentioned. Why didn Samrat take a stand for her. Or is it that BK started locking Devi since past one year only ? Have the makers cleared this issue at any point of time.

The only problem here is there is no brotherly love any longer between Virat and Samrat. Samrat seems to be spewing hatred towards Virat. Had there been so much so called brotherly love he would have listened to Virat's perspective once at least. But alas that chance has nvr been given by Samrat. All he has listened to is from Sai and what he himself has seen and understood. He has even given a chance to Patralekha! But not to Virat! For all the years they have spent with each other as Shiva-Jeeva, I think Virat should have been given one chance is what I feel.

This has been my grouse all along. Thy make Virat the scape goat and Sai gets away with whatever she does there by maki g audience hate Virat. Where as all along all have been grey characters. Why don't they highlight each ones grey equally?

I was discussing this with someone about Samrat’s behavior . You have raised some good points . Now when I think about it I feel Samrat was never like this . He was silent and never took a stand for anyone in the family . Few instances that makes me say this

1. During his haldi function when Devi comes out unexpectedly and talks about her husband . Kaku tries to send her back to her room and doesn’t treat her well . He was silent and never took a stand Infact he doesn’t even console Devi Tai .

2. During his wedding preparation, when Mohit was getting insulted in front of him . He was diplomatic and tried escaping the situation by saying he is back after a long time and he wants to enjoy swing family bond . He never took a stand for his brother

Now we see a different Samrat who takes strong stand for Sai . Is it really for Sai ? How could anyone develop such deep bond in a week . How could he feel so strongly for a week old sister vs his cousin sister and brother he grew up with . I feel somewhere Samrat is venting his frustration on Pakhi using Sai . He is unable to see his wife still in love with brother neither he is able to let her go due to his feelings for her . He thinks Sairat relationship is just like his and Pakhi where he sees himself in Sai . He actually raising voice for himself through Sai .

In the precap , did he shout at Pakhi for insulting Sai his sister or was he hurt that his wife was still trying to instigate his bro against his wife which makes him feel she is not over him . His outburst is because he feels Sai is betrayed just like him . If his wife was not involved with his brother, he wouldn’t have taken a strong stand and we would have seen old Samrat . He has his interest when he supports Sai . It’s not out of love or unconditional .

You have given evidence to what I have felt! So that's what I feel as well. He is trying to bring up his point with Virat thru Sai. He is acting as such a beloved brother to Sai because they two are sailing in the same boat, at least that's what he feels.

Wouldn't fit the characterization. Expecting too much of a cartoon show to keep track of all that logic.

This is true.. first he didn’t seem to care, when he left his widowed mother alone for his 2 mins instant pyaar’s betrayal and his brother’s betrayal. Then the way he cares for Sai.. I don’t think he cared for Devi, otherwise she wouldn’t have suffered like this for 10 years. I agree that he should have spent most of his time away as he was in the army… still should have shown interest in her condition. This is definitely a weird family..

But him being savage is the only interesting thing in this show at present…and I am loving it😆

Samrat had failed more than virat in every department.

Samrat really never cared to know d reason of virat visible pain he very easily got convinced virat is ok forget virat. Samrat very well saw how devi is treated in d house but still he dint do anything , in samrakhi sangeet it was virat who handle devi samrat was mute spectator . Samrat anonden mansi his widow mother .

Samrat insulted indian army he is traitor jiska court martial hona chahiye & he should be caged in army jail from misguiding army & wasting army resources for his personal purpose

but unfortunately sai is above country so yes Samrat is a great man

None of chavan brothers r so great but badnam sirf virat hai both samrat & Mohit r not a good husbands to their wives but they r cheerleader of sai devi so they r great .
