Samrat as a brother - Page 3

Yes Samrat along with Virat and Mohit have failed in their duty as a brother to Devi. Specially Samrat and Virat with their extensive training and knowledge should've seen the signs that Devi tai is being deliberately drugged and locked inside. They should've also raised their voice when Devi wasn't allowed to participate in their family events and was kept locked in the room.

Samrat also failed big time as a son. What he did to his mother, the pain the uncertainty in which she lived with for one year is unforgivable! No redeeming him there. Another thing that can't be redeemed is him leaving his duty towards his country for a heartbreak. There are many ways he could've gone about doing that but he chose the easiest route. I don't think anyone's refuting these things, he is 100 percent guilty in these two matters.

Coming to Samrat being there for Sai and people praising him, he totally deserves every bit of that appreciation. Cuz he did something that no son had ever done which is shut up that criminal family when they start to spew their shit. He's not become a blind cheerleader for Sai just cuz he thinks Sai is mahaan. He clearly noticed a pattern where Pakhi taunts Sai for something unrelated and the family starts their Sai is jungli rant.

What I liked about Samrat in that precap is not that he is shouting at his wife or that he's teaching her a lesson, but something that should've been asked from Pakhi this entire time; what the hell is her problem with Sai? Even if Chavans are quiet she will start her anti Sai tirade by herself. What happened with Sai is not normal today and on top her husband has zero guilt on this matter, Pakhi being a woman not taking the right stance and instead supporting the wrong party could've triggered him.

You have a very valid point. And that's where the makers faltered. No clarity in story telling. Samrat was missing for only 1 year. Whereas Devi Tai was being jailed since last 10 years or so as u mentioned. Why didn Samrat take a stand for her. Or is it that BK started locking Devi since past one year only ? Have the makers cleared this issue at any point of time.

Apparently both virat and samrat haven't actually been at home throughout the entire time she was locked up at chavans. It's been cleared they weren't there when tai was brought home and when they returned she had lost her mental balance and bhavani and her chamchay devars concocted a lie to cover it up, and they had no reason to suspect that kaku was lying to them or to think kaku herself was doing something wrong with her daughter. Both were away for most of the time either due to academy training etc. I mean it makes some sense considering police training if rigorous and it was said virat was away for a few years from the house due to being in the academy, and for samrat well he was in the army so he would have been stationed away from home (there's no clarity on how long samrat has even been serving in the army either).

Mohit must have been in his teens then when that happened, ashwini, shivani, mansi bua and even sonali for some reason didn't have the faintest clue even though they were living there the entire time and were never away from home like samrat or virat to have any excuse, so how on earth the evil trio got away with what they did to tai makes no sense.

Truth is even KD writers have been very vague in their story telling when it comes to the devi tai story. There's a lot of details that they haven't given at all

His actions today are appreciable and I agree. However that is because he feels for Sai since he himself is in the same boat. Had he been in good terms with Virat and his own wife and Virat had a problem with his wife for whatever reason I am pretty sure he would not have interfered. He has been an escapist from day one. He ran away after a day of marriage instead of confrontation. He is more or less like Virat but right now Virat and Samrat are in different boats right now and the boat he is in he is sharing with Sai and hence the concern. Otherwise he wud be the same escapist as before!! If not I can't get his brotherly love for Sai when it was missing for Devi Tai the one and only sister he grew up with!

Samrat is definitely not a good son. Can't say anything about him being good brother. All three brothers failed devi tai. Mohit is understandable since he have no authority in house but the two who had voice stood silent by watching her misery. And samrat made his mother suffer for whole year because of his own heartbreak. Didn't cared even when sai telling him what his mother gone through whole year without him. Didn't care to stay at house for his mother. He was so selfish there. He is not a perfect man. He is now being praised because he deserved it now. We can only react by watching present actions of characters. He has the spine to call out wrong. He is doing something that no one from chavan family dared to do. Whatever he said in precap should have told by virat long back since he is the one who witnessed her hate for sai clearly. But he failed there instead he many times joined her in taunting sai. Samrat's love for sai is not because of fiction between him & virat. They formed connection in mahabaleshwar only where sai called him dada. He had open talk with sai & got to know about her from family members. He know almost everything about sai from her being orphan to doing deal marriage with his brother. He got to know whatever she did for family like devi tai marriage, giving hormonium to ninad using her scholarship. So obviously all these created soft corner for her. He asked her to look up to him as brother. And them being at same page in v- p angle created empathy for each other. He saw sai talking for him infront of pakhi where she tells pakhi to genuinely be happy with samrat instead of pretending as samrat dada is very good person.All these are enough for him to be protective towards sai whom he treats as sister.

And clearly another reason why he feels closer with sai now is because he feel him and sai are on the same boat and both can understand how the other is feeling in this situation where pakhi seems to be pulling the strings, acting pretentious and playing games, and virat is frustratingly going along with whatever pakhi says and does, and this is happening right before both sai and samrat's eyes.

Sai has been dealing with it for 1 year, whereas samrat has only just been back but he has already witnessed the dynamic that virat-pakhi have and created, and how to samrat it constantly seems like virat-pakhi vs sai and it's intolerable to him because he feels virat-pakhi are being unfair towards both him and sai. I can understand why both sai and samrat are connecting over their individual frustrations towards pakhi and virat.

But haven't they visited CN in all the 10 years and haven't they noticed the treatment meted to Devi Tai. It was very openly visible to one and all and also very evident asduring Samrat's wedding. Then he didn't realise something was wrong. However he has been shown so smart that he can catch small nuances of Sai to infer that she cares for Virat!

That's what I have been saying - its no brotherly love. Its basic human nature - Your enemy's enemy is automatically your friend!! He is trying to vent his frustration out on Virat-Pakhi thru Sai.

Honestly dear, there is a lack of clarity. The KD writers wrote a scenario around devi tai, but then forgot to flesh out the plot properly for us to better understand the positions of other characters within that plot. The only thing I know is that both virat and samrat were away for most of the time, they especially were not there when tai had been brought home, and virat had once said in a convo with sai that kaku has told them all not to prod tai to talk about her past or encourage her to talk about her past because she gets more mentally disturbed, and not once did any of the family members suspect kaku's intentions that she is up to no good, probably because kaku is tai's mother so none would have thought kaku is doing anything wrong with tai, plus kaku has always gone unquestioned in that house due to her influence.

This is the only thing I know from what little has been shown or explained about tai's story.

My stand is quite different, samrat was ohkay with him.and pakhi till he overheard Sai saying that pakhi is doing nanak. After that his behavior has been changed towards both virat and pakhi.

In room also he asked pakhi whether she is being genuine or doing drama.In precap too he wanted to ask the main question whether pakhi really want to move on or not.

His stand for sai is more about Sai is feeling same pain as he is going through. That's why he never took stand for Devi tai or his mother pain.

Lastly cn family man can never respect their wife.they have to humiliate them in front of everyone. Now samrat is in the same list as virat,Ninad, mohit .only omi kaka is the saving grace in the name of good husband.

With one distinction - Patralekha deserves it.
