He wasn't trying to deny it. He was just in so much pain that he didn't want to talk about it. And yes....so engulfed in pain that his logical brain went in freeze mode.....that he didn't even realise that saying he is committed to Sai will atleast clear the aspersions Samrat may have about Virakhi current status - although that may not entirely mend things with Samrat (I think my take is slightly different on this Pooja). Samrat needs time to heal from his own hurt and to demand explanations from Virat on his motivations behind hiding the truth from him. Samrat also needs to know the entire truth - including the vaada Virat gave to Pakhi...that may be another grenade waiting to explode anytime ....so lots of issues to be resolved between the brothers.

As to why he was shocked - to me it looked like he was shocked that Samrat read his heart in such a small time... something that no one knew. That initial shock melted into a realisation of his own pain. It was very well done by Neil.

I think our takes are the same more or less 😊 He couldn't speak because he froze in pain, but throughout the entire sequence with Samrat, he was refusing to talk about Sai/trying to avoid the topic because that pain is leading him to try to be indifferent towards her/convince himself that he is indifferent....

That scene came across as if he is too much hurt to talk about it. And he was taken a back Samrat could read through him within a short period of time.. He wants Sai to trust him through his actions....Now he is going to use his actions for his brother too.. Hope it works out

I am liking Samrat.. Even though he came across as a selfish person but love his straight forward nature..

By the way Viru boi drinks.. He is NOT as boring as he looks like 😲😛😆

I like Samrat too, apart from the butchering Vanku did with him w.r.t. Didi , I like his savageness..But didi k saamne sabki savageness ki toh

I guess in his head he has decided that the only way out of all this mess is shutdown, hide all feelings and move on alone somewhere where he can wallow in his feelings & try to live with it. His mind does not want to comprehend the possibility of her returning his feelings ever considering the amount of hurt he feels because thinking in that way is giving hope to himself and at this point he doesn't want to. Sunny convinced him with a similar logic that Sai was in love with him too, so he does not want to fall for anyone's false hopes to again give rise to any hope because in his head he's so done with Sai and love.

As far how these people are going to go with him behaving like a deal husband, I can't understand all that. Not caring to provide every need and being indifferent are two different things, he can vent at her in person if he wants w.r.t the words she threw at him but in front of family it'll give out a very different message. Similarly, if he's responsible for her he needs to maintain a civil environment enough for her to approach him if she needs something, not that she ever will with such behaviour from his side.

Silence is his way of reacting to problems even if they can end off giving more disastrous results he's not in a state to contemplate all of this. In one day his brother came back, threw a sling of accusations on him, his wife is unable to understand his anger, rejected what he thinks is his love( she has commitment in her head being a different thing) & plus all the humiliation in front of his family. He deserves a little time and space to comprehend everything but continuing to behave to everything with silence a few more days will hurt his relationship with Sai irrespective of whether he understands or addresses it.

I sort of connect with what tptwi, Nethra and Amor are saying in this thread.

Yeah even I am getting it..Maybe watching clips and not watching the show as a whole has made me emotionally unintelligent !
