Exactly my point..I did not get it, when he is clear whether Sai rejects him, loves him back or not, he will always love her and be hers.. Then why looked shock on that question..He heard what Sai said about them..and yet look shocked on the questions he has already given answers to!!

I have a doubt here..Was Virat not the one who said that he would be always love Sai and be hers even if she never reciprocates his love back..His anger is on Sai , he can deny her everything,he can deny her himself, but why deny being committed to her to a third person, to his brother when Sai is not there.. Is it not wrong?

Why should the onus lie on others to figure out for him...when he is not able to figure out, how would Samrat feel if he does not say about being committed to Sai or does not stop calling Patralekha ...Pakhi.. If he goes back to calling her that, wont Samrat think he wa strying hard to do otherwise and could not help!!

Virat is committing the same mistakes over and over and over again. What kind of anger is this which stops him from speaking the truth infront of his Jeeva? And that too when his silence has caused so many issues in the past. When is he going to learn from his mistakes? Samrat would have listened to him today. He asked Virat pointed questions and he was wanting answers. Why did Virat give those wierd expressions when Samrat questioned him on his feelings for Sai? And to top it all, he's ok with going to a cafe to speak to Pakhi. All this just doesn't sit well with me.

Exactly.. I cant understand him..He keeps making mistakes, takes out anger on Sai for not understanding his silence or lack of words and then goes on to make the same mistake which has resulted into so much chaos..

He didn't look shocked to me. His expression definitely changed when Samrat asked that question, though. In the moments before that scene, his expression was one of him being upset and desperate for Samrat to listen to him. But, the second Samrat brought up his commitment to Sai, it seemed to me that he froze in pain for reasons that I said in my other post! It's like he couldn't even find the words for what he wanted to say even though the answer was a simple one... because he is in such a turmoil right now. He isn't appearing indifferent to punish Sai or to deny himself to her. He is trying to truly feel indifferent towards her in attempt to protect his heart... so it makes sense to me why he would stay silent in front of Samrat too. This is his mind and heart being at odds. But, during the fever scene, we see his heart take over. And again, we will see his heart take over when he tells Pakhi that only Sai is in his heart... if he was confused about his feelings or shocked that someone could think he is committed to Sai, why would he point blank tell Pakhi that it is Sai and only Sai for him? In this moment, when he is talking to Samrat, the wound of the anniversary is fresh...the conversation between Sai and Samrat is fresh. He is hopeless... so what is the point of any of this? But, once he cools down... and when it comes down to it with Pakhi trying to "win" him over, he will speak up. I found him staying silent to be quite within his character actually. When I said that Samrat already knows that Virat is in love with Sai, I didn't mean to say that the onus should be on him to figure it out. But, that's just Virat. His emotions overcloud all else....

All his expectations are from Sai only. When will he understand that acknowledgement of a real relationship would lie in his words, not grand gestures and giftsThe writers have acquired big time amnesia in the process of whitewashing Pakhi. This is the same Virat who had once told Pakhi that he will love Sai no matter what. Then why this kind of hurt and anger that he doesn't even want Samrat to mention her name infront of him.

It was not shock perse...he was stunned by a choking sensation in the throat as he is in great deal of stress.... as to how to answer.. it happens when you cry and try to swallow your words..

I love the way that you have described this. To me, he wasn't shocked, but rather he seemed to freeze, because all of the pain came rushing to the forefront. It's like he couldn't find the words even though the answer, to him, is simple and clear. He honestly looked liked he would burst into tears at any moment to me. Because, his heart knows that he can never stop loving Sai, but his mind is telling him to be indifferent since this marriage will always be a deal and nothing else. It makes sense that he is still trying to be indifferent even in Sai's absence, because he is truly trying to convince himself of his... but he is failing miserably. He is once again wallowing in his own emotions... this is the exact reason why he has stayed silent in the past...
