But seeing it in my view as personal and professional.

Like, my dad is in engineer, and electrical field related things is simple for him. So whatever little bit problems come at home, he handles them himself and he involves us as well. But when he is in that mood, he is more of an engineer rather than our father. As in, he needs perfection, no goofing around. Cuz, that is how he sees it, his work at that point is what is on his mind. But later, he feels guilty for yelling at us.

So maybe that is what happened here, he was a police officer at that time, but when he took the promise from Virat, maybe he was that guilty father, who only wanted to safe guard his child's future. ❤️

Man, this made me emotional

This is so beautifully written ❤️😭

But a part of me has also always wondered whether the fact that it was Virat’s life he was saving mattered or not…he was clearly attached to Virat in a deep way…

Yes Kamal Joshi was quite attached to Virat , he was his favourite student in academy and the fact that he believes him to be worthy and capable of taking his daughter whom he loved the most clearly shows his attachment to Virat.

But I am sure that Kamal Joshi would have also taken the Bullet if it was some other officer too. He was a very brave police officer who believed very strongly in farz and duty so he would have also sacrificed his life for other teammate too.

I am sure all of us have heard of soldiers selflessly taking bullets and sacrificing their lives for their mates. It's same for both soldiers and police officers , for both sacrificing their lives for their mates is their duty or farz for them. It's ingrained in them so much that it becomes instinctual.

Virat sanction his VRS but kamal sir wanted to caught jagtap & taught him, Vittal mane a lesson that police force don't leave criminal, virat kept denying him but KJ was hellbent on it, he himself dint realised he would die .

Be it police force or armed forces it's their responsibility to protect their teammates , KJ in an impulsive moment end up spoiling virat's plan which made virat's life at risk ,by d time he realised virat was already at danger , he just in spur of moment to rectify his mistake saved virat.

Anyway it's not KJ mistake if a person don't know how to take her responsibility she was grown up enough. Death is a universal truth which cant be altered for anyone as it don't come informing. It's wrong to blame a dead person for something which was not in his hand .

KJ should had selected any other person to look after her daughter , atleast virat would had been at better position today.

## I m sorry Andy if my post sounds rude .

Scientifically there is a research that says, human beings due to their inherent tendency to form social structures develop these neural networks that think (in very dire situations) to act on behalf of other human beings, especially younger to them.

Imagine a situation when your elderly mother and a toddler not related to you is involved in an accident. Who will you protect? Social expermentation revelated that majoriy of people chose to protect toddler. Because his life is more valuable.

Ofcourse this act needs some kind of empathy from the person too and we cannot be judgemental if they dont do as expected. But social science did say that because of our inherent attitude of being a social animal, we do respond to selfless acts towards the younger lives.

Keeping this also as one of the points, Kamal Joshi viewed Virat as someone capable and worthy human being. he being very young and still more life ahead, when the chance to protect him came, he took it. kamal Joshi being an exemplaray human being himself sacrificed his life for a young capable police officer who has more life to see!

Also, one more reason could be the same as why Virat sacrificed to protect his team member? May be that is the instinct of a good police officer and a leader of a team to protect the members.

Virat and team had successfully captured Jagtap and destroyed his gang . KJ got emotionally carried away and went infront of Jagtap against Virat’s orders . Before the mission , Virat was very clear that everyone should follow his orders . Jagtap was about to shoot KJ , Virat jumped in to save him . Virat and KJ were so close to Jagtap only because of KJ jumping in . When Jagtap was about to shoot Virat , KJ might have realized he was responsible for putting Virat’s life at risk hence he jumped in to save his protégée , senior officer .

It felt like a split second decision , to do his duty and also protect someone he loved and respected as his protegee & also was professionally and emotionally attached to.

Also, in the back of his mind he must have also had the thought of how much Virat had helped protect his daughter & in that split second his mind just probably went with the instinct of shielding Virat.

Different POVs are welcomed. I am expecting a healthy debate, no mocking or fighting.

I agree he should have thought about sai but at that particular moment only thing he can see is life of bright young officer life is more important than himself who saw everything in his life.... And also Kamal sir is guru of virat , and I believe looking at virat kj bond he won't treat him less than his son , same way virat treat kj not less than his father...

And such selfless acts make them stand out them others, even our soldiers who are fighting for us on border , aren't they same as kj... Soldiers are not only fighters but also son of a mother, might be new father, might be new groom, whole family might depend on them but still they goes to death war leaving all their family behind ... And kj is also in same profession, frankly he would have done same thing without a second thought for anyone , and here tho it's virat how can we expect h to do anything different, even virat comes under same category

I don't think he thought about anything at that moment he saw jagtap was about to shoot Virat. It was in the spur of the moment where you see someone is about to fall or get hurt you try to hold them or push them to the side. He tried to protect Virat like how Virat did during his mission.
