@laksh Awesome post ! Loved your perspective on why Sai agreed to this "marriage with conditions". You have explained so well what Sai's thought process must have been to accept this 'deal'. She is indeed a girl who values her self-respect too much.

I am talking about the situation, not Virat. I am talking about her mindset at that point of time, not Virat. For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. She chose that and that's how I could read it as. Also, I had mentioned in 404_usernotfound post about Sai's feelings that Sai had some feeling, infatuation or crush or some unknown feeling for Virat which she never gave a thought.

Him telling all these hurt her, it was like a rejection and she felt bad that he already had someone in his life and he would only consider her as his responsibility. Her walls are also mainly due to this than his conditions.

When a personal gets hurt, they either cry or start to act defensive. And she is a person who wouldn't cry and hence she started to act defensive and took it as a challenge to her feelings. She didn't want to feel defeated to her own emotions.

He never did, it was she who did. He decided on the terms, not her decision to get married or not.

You expect Sai to complaint about Usha maushi to whom she should even owe her life?

Or complaint against Virat whom she acknowledged had saved her life twice?

Other reason I feel is that Sai knew that villagers intend to marry her off, if not Virat today, it will be someone else tomorrow. But they will not let her be on her own or take her responsibility. She cannot refuse Usha maushi now, it would be thr same later.

She atleast knew Virat and understood him a bit. So in her mind, by marrying Virat, her dreams of becoming a doctor will be fulfilled even if she is not getting married to someone who loves her (She did like and respect him). If it was any other unknown guy, there are chances that she might end up as housewife maybe or she might be doing chote mote course.

She didn't think beyond that point, because we see she is impulsive even now. She doesn't stop to process everything to make an informed decision.

I agree that if not for Virat, it might be someone else.

The fact is and she also feels that Virat, she feels safe. She feels protected, she has trust that he wouldn't harm her or take undue advantage of her. She has heard from her Dad many things about Virat and though she fought with him, always insulted him, she knew deep within that he is a decent guy.

He saved her from Jagtap, met her at safe house and never took advantage of her or ever misbehaved with her.

Few questions :

What about her scholarship? She was a state topper so she’d get scholarship anyway hence, she could’ve gone to med school to study and stayed in the dorm

Why didn’t the police force give some kind of award or why was there not any sort of acknowledgement towards Kamal Joshi’s sacrifice? They could’ve given his family a financial compensation too/ a grant, he was shot on duty. Sai would’ve had financial support. And police force to protect her from Jagtap.

That is a stupid thing they never clarified in show. It is not possible that KJ didn't have any saving, when they already planned to move to Nagpur and enroll in medical school.

actually i worked in a bank, so i can explain.

when kj died, death certificate takes time to come . by then she had to moved to nagpur with virat. so to take the savings of her father, sai have to go back to gc personally to get that money which she couldn’t till date.

also she might have just turned major and whatever savings in her name, to access the same the account has to be converted to major which again takes time of a month or two depending on the bank.

kj’s vrs amount also would come in his name, to his account which is again linked to her going to gc. not sure about dying on duty and compensation to the family.

DC we usually get from the hospital quite quickly but again they probably moved to Nagpur by then

Oh, just turned major? No, she must have been a major when she married her, otherwise it would have become another issue

Hmm, this is something I wanted to know for my ff as well. Firstly, when will she get his pension? I was told that it would take a couple of months or even an year. Is it so?

Also, the pension account would be in GC and I believe it cannot be transferred to Nagpur right? So should Sai be going there in person everytime to withdraw money or can she get give an authorisation letter to someone to get it on her behalf and then transfer it to her?

May be only blood relative or nominee can withdraw from GC?

as far as i understand, most govt employees have salary accounts. all the retirement benefits will be credited to the account. it might take a couple of months.

what i meant by sai just turning major is maybe a couple of months before or so. people usually don’t go to bank immediately. who would have thought that her life would change so drastically in a couple of days? she can transfer the account somewhere else but for that as well first death settlement of her father needs to be done, amount transferred on her name and then the account can be shifted to nagpur.
