Though she wishes it isn't true or feels nice when Virat gives her attention or importance, she thinks end of day he has Pakhi in his heart. So that wall is what keeps her strong and let's her show don't care attitude.

Virat by not clarifying to Sai, but telling Pakhi what Sai think about them, is giving extra leverage for Pakhi.

She also gets to listen to their conversations and can talk to Virat or kaku and plot accordingly.

Well it wasn't that straightforward. In the middle of SaiRat argument about Pulkit, Virat notices Pakhi at the door. Pakhi tries to act polite asking if she came in the middle of something . Virat spills ...that he was trying to tell Sai how she is being fooled by Pulkit...Pakhi joins with her tippani...so SaiRat argument turns into three person argument...

As usual beizzati rant by Pakhi....says she did not want to disturb them and only wanted to talk about Samrat...by this time Sai is totally miffed at these people.....tells them to have their convo elsewhere as Pakhi will not like Sai's presence anyway..and she cannot leave the room every time Virakhi want to talk..Virat is pissed at Sai's stubbornness regarding Pulkit and agrees to leave the room ...

Sai is like a pet for him.

As long as pet does something he likes , he will praise, appreciate and even give her treat in form of gifts and support.

If the pet doesn't follow the commands or instructions, the pet will be punished and shouted at.

Also the pet cannot like or pay attention to anyone else other than him.

His brain doesn’t have much storage capacity. So he deleted unnecessary information( Pakhi ) and retains only Sai. So he just reacts according to the moment, he is a dumbo. But lots of us are like that. We as an audience see the whole picture but as a character he just wants to live in the moment.

yeah I get pissed off at him too.

But today I will give him leeway for being pissed with Sai....because he was not convinced about ma=madhuri explanation...or anything about Pulkit. He was appalled as to why Sai is believing Pulkit blindly.. Pakhi also raised questions as to why Pulkit came all of a sudden after 10 years despite being in the same city (let's admit it, it's a valid point) ...
