Setting aside fact that the closing of the loopholes is much desired to make any sense of what we are watching, the episode really established one thing: Virat does not believe the family's story. It was evident that deep in his heart he did not need to hear what Sai had to say aloud "Ye sab Devitai aur Pulkit ki shaadi rokne ki chaal hai"... Virat's expressions were a giveaway that he was just lending the entire clan a patient ear with the knowledge that they cannot be snubbed at this point -- it was a consolation (given the fact that the loose writing of the plot makes it extremely indigestible to see him in a khakhi🤦🤦).
His narrowed eyes at the mention of the letter and his bewilderment at the claims in the letter were very evident, especially when Sai asks, "Aapko letter kisne diya?" Virat was as suspiciously watching Vahini. 🧐🧐
The letter was worded exactly like how Patralekha talks
it should have been such a no-brainer when the word "beizzati" was mentioned in the letter - the words exactly what she parroted to him in her 'akele mein baat karni hai' conversation about badla lena hai ...I really thought Sai would ask, "Didi, ye sangeeta toh ekdam aapke jaise baat karti hai" 😂😂😂
Sai mentioned how the letter has suddenly landed from nowhere and asks PP to share the address and phone number and what a lame attempt at covering up the lie was that: "Mujhse milne ki ya mujhe dhoodhne ki koshish aap log mat karna"🤫🤪. But then (*FAQs of commonsense below) one has to agree that any such 'claims' cannot be brushed aside without establishing if it is true or not in such matters. So, when he said, "Main apne tareeke se pata lagaunga", it was natural that such information cannot be left unverified - for the satisfaction as well as to prove the belief that it is indeed a lie.
Bhavani immediately took over, backing the contents of the letter, and no one was surprised-- neither Sai nor Virat. As it was evidently the opportunity she was waiting for. Even at that point, Virat's unspoken belief that the letter would turn out to be false was not to be missed. At least we can find some solace in the fact that he did not fall for it immediately😣
Bhavani pronounced the verdict of Madhuri being in an "illicit relationship" with Pulkit based on the fact that she lives in the same house! Shouldn't 'susheel bahu' want to see the mirror once🤥🤥? Does it even make sense to speak of her role in this 'crime'👿? The woman who knows the truth and also about the presence of a child does not battle an eyelid before joining the chorus of the lies, conceit and plot😖! What a criminal mind👎👿!
BUT, BUT... A BIG round of applause for the Makad Sena. This letter, no matter how weak the plot is, is proof that they are in fact one step ahead of Sai (and Virat). So, Madhuri finds a mention in the letter (
). It means that when Ninad and Omkar were missing from the "gift nahi laayi scene", where Vahini took Bhavani away, they must have been working on the conspiracy😒😒. They have done a background check on Pulkit much better than Sai and Virat have managed to do🙆🙆. So if they learnt about Madhuri being the 'sister', they must have also learnt about the presence of Harini (it will be unacceptable that they don't know that some Harini exists). The letter not mentioning the child is very glaring but then it could be because they most likely do not know it is Devyani's child since Bhavani claimed they did not even know if it was a girl or boy when the child was given away....
So Madhuri and Pulkit's relationship has been tainted -- what do you expect from people breathe on 'sinful' thoughts with dead consciences🤐😑? Sai's disgust was evident and Virat's How will the 'upright' Virat make up for this vile accusation from the family for Pulkit and Madhuri if he does bother to find out the truth?
I think the Makad-Sena used their "good sense" at the right time. Good sense is different from common sense that Vahini talks about. They have actually put in some effort even in their foolish attempt that won't last long anyway. The half-witted part of their plan is that they think they will be able to continue this conspiracy forever... The truth will obviously be known in a matter of days and the wedding can still happen
But it is "impressive" that they went out to actually get some actual facts to make their story sound credible at least. It was only when Madhuri was mentioned in 'letter reading exercise' by Vahini that Virat actually began to open up to the idea that the claim could be true😕.
As Sai said, "Jhoot mein thoda sa sach mila dene se wo sach nahi bann jaata", but then it is not something that one can turn a blind eye to.
PETA is against the use of this phrase but it applies here: 'Killing two birds with one stone'.
On the face of it, it appears that the plot is only to stop the wedding and only Vahini is seeing it as a competition with Sai. But actually, Makad sena is also looking at this as the perfect opportunity to separate Sai and Virat. If they went out to plant evidence (or gather some facts that could help their lies), they must be also aware that it is only a temporary solution. How long will this lie about some Sangeeta Deshpande sustain itself? So, the larger motive of this plot is to instigate Sai to act in the manner that they expect -- to pit Virat and Sai against each other. They have, by now, gauged that Sai is stubborn and she will not back off from a "challenge" that she has taken up. The moment Virat departs from the scene, they begin their pointed attack at Sai -- they know it will harden her resolve. That is exactly what they want. Also, it is a given that Devyani will turn hysterical and suffer immensely because the wedding will be called off due to the conspiracy -- another reason to shift the blame on Sai😟
They assume that once Sai is removed from the picture, their conspiracy will not be "questioned" or "refuted"... Their "Sai ghar chhodh kar jayegi" has been repeated so often in the last few scenes that it is the ultimate aim -- crush the one who questions.
They do not expect Virat to go against the family or probe further if Sai is removed from the picture. He has never questioned them until Sai arrived into his life -- one can call it his patience but it was actually his 'indifference' in changing the status quo and they are aware that they can pull it off by brushing it under the carpet once Sai is gone -- she's the only one who pulls the rugs from under their feet. They think it would be easy to manipulate Virat once he is by himself because the 'influence' of his 'best friend' will help their case. The only thing to look forward to is the point where he would surprise them by actually finding out the truth...

1. Who rang the bell? Why was Vahini in the forward half-bending position after opening the door and before spotting the letter🤪? She forgot she had to pretend that she doesn't know about the letter

Awesome analysis Janki. I hope they tie loose ends and don’t butcher Virat’s character any further and add some logic to it. But I guess it’s too late.
I definitely think Pakhi was not alone in this. She probably gave the idea but she does not have the means to get the information needed. I am sure Ninad and Omkar have a lot of pull to do some detective-giri . Because they managed to do loathsome and atrocious things to Devi without getting caught. They also managed to separate a mother and child without anyone knowing. So I would say they just got lucky temporarily.
I really hope they don’t draaaaag this plot
