I know and I am sorry to dissapoint you but I have tried to make the characters grey as normal as possible.

And Normal people do things opposite of their character when in love or when their heart is broken and both Sai and Virat are in love and their heart is broken.

They both yearn for each other, but still can't do anything about it.

We humans when in love can do things so out of character; that they even suprise us when we look back, thats my first hand experience and deeper the love, deeper are its effects.

People who are suffering from love and heartbreak usually cannot see, how they are getting affected but people around them can.

The basic character of Sai wants to verify things by herself, until she is convinced of the fact herself, no matter how much people tell her; she would not believe it.That is her one big flaw.

So its not people had not told her, but she does not believes them as until Virat tells her she would not believe.

And already she has preconvinced notion about Virat due their Deal wali shaadi thing.

Also, there is a major reason coming up in next update on why her belief is so strong.

OMG Iwas waiting for this update since I read the first one yesterday and I must tell you that I was in for a suprise. Tbh I also didn't expect Sai to change this drastically with a casual relationship and smoking etc. Not only Sai but Virat also. But I totally agree with your point that we do loads of things we never even thought we are capable of doing when we are facing a breakup and longing for someone. Everyone's coping mechanisms is different and this is theirs. So I really really would like to see how this will play out.

But I also hope they come face to face with each other soon too. Coz these two are in so much love with each other to a point where they are destroying their lives with smoking and drinking just to forget each other, which is clearly not working.

Their portrayal is so out of character that I can't relate to them. Furthermore, it is only a year since their separation, and both are behaving like decades have passed.
