Virat - enjoying the attention perhaps ?

I'm probably going to get bashed for this post but I really feel Virat enjoys the attention Pakhi gives him. There is no other explanation for him not putting a stop to it. I mean, how difficult is it to have a straightforward conversation and tell someone that you have moved on?!!

Who gives a red rose to their ex q? When the ex says crap like 'Sai ko roses diye use cover up ke liye mujhe rose de rahe ho' - the ideal response to that should have been something like 'Sai is my wife and I don't need to cover up anything if I give her flowers' - simple. Yet what does Virat do - he starts giving a crappy explanation ..

Even in previous episodes , Pakhi just walks into their room , says crap about Sai and Virat just keeps listening. He doesn't even try to stop Pakhi and tell her 'look this is between my wife and me.. please leave'

When Pakhi stays up late to get him dinner, a sensible person would just tell his vahini that it's not needed. That she doesn't need to stay up and serve him dinner. That his own wife can and will do it.

It seems Virat enjoys the attention he gets from Pakhi. He is attracted to Sai .. I don't think he loves her yet. He is attracted to her and maybe wants to make their marriage a real one instead of a 'paper marriage' but he also wants Pakhi's attention to soothe his wounds should Sai not reciprocate his feelings.

Just my thoughts. I'm open to people not agreeing with me but please no hate speech.

But he promised Pakhi no one will take her place in his heart and life and in return Pakhi will marry (+ stay married) to Samrat so by virtue of that, he has to stay silent. Also, he hasn’t realised his feelings for Sai yet. He is in need of self inspection.

Ya i agree. it must be an ego boost to see this overzealous care/affection. Pyaar aur shaadi na sahi he has substituted it with "dosti" which crosses limits of dosti. Also i think another BIG factor for his hadh se zyaada politeness to pp seems to stem from his own guilt maybe. I think maybe virat feels like if he had recognized her voice on the phone and there was no MU things may be different or maybe atleast if Samrat had not gone MIA after Virat "forced/convinced" her to marry him saying that his brother and family are more important- pp and Samrat would be happily married. So perhaps to soothe his own guilt he is giving her a very long rope for her every transgression and being far too kind for her interference in his life and for how he treats Sai too because unconsciously he has decided that him and Sai are one unit. So he doesn't recognize that her taunts to Sai are vicious because he doesn't view them separately. Just like he takes everyone's taana for Sai's behaviour her he has allowed Pp to taunt Sai with what is actually directed towards Virat. Its obviously not fair but hopefully soon his patience will wear out and he will just tell pp to watch her tongue, tone and behavior.

In KD i think when the tublu(mohit) track happens,and Rono takes imon's side he tells roopkotha that she should introspect about how badly she treats Sai and how she gets away with a lot because its Sai rather than some other woman. I hope we get something similar or even better where virat strongly defends Sai and criticizes pp for her absolutely irrational and crass behavior.

Pp should think - if virat married a girl picked by bk would PP have this chaheeti bahu status? Would she be able to treat her husband's brothers wife the way she treats Sai. Ofcourse not! But in this show pp is one note and downright despicable. And virat is always confused. In the process of pleasing everyone he indirectly makes Sai raise her walls rather than lower it.

To be honest, I was in anti-Virat camp myself, because this is one confusing dude. But after reading the analysis put up in this forum, I've got better idea about his psychology. So, here is my understanding about this (with help from fellow forum wasis):-

Having grown up in a hostile environment, Virat has learnt to navigate it by people-pleasing, avoiding conflicts and being too diplomatic (read jalebi-making😆). As it is men are averse to conflicts, but this guy is a step higher than most. In the terrace scene, when Pakhi confesses that she may not be happy with Samrat's return he assumes that Pakhi is distraught and lonely (but not that she has any ideas on Virat)....and sort of indicated to accept Samrat as her partner after his return (zindagi ki marzi samajh lo..). But in the rose-giving scene, her interest in him was becoming obvious - with her reminder of the vaada and all. Virat is not someone who is comfortable with the idea of an emotional-outburst from Pakhi (conflict-phobia). So he uses his jalebi making skills to indirectly tell her that she means only as much as the rest of his family. While a normal person would have got the hint, Pakhi being delusional doesn't.

I am sorry but I don't think he is doing this for attention, 1. He promised her ( it is stupid but he did) and virat is not kind of a guy who will ignore his promises or duty..

2. He somewhere feel guilty, that he is reason for pp situation. So he wants to support her like friend even though pp thinks otherwise.

3. Virat is kind of a guy who goes long even to help unknown people .... And tolerate level is very high... ( He tolerated jagdhap also) somewhere in early GC episodes he even tolerated sai ( in initial episodes sai is unreasonable regarding vrs, and virat don't know sai so well even then he tolerated)..

Here it is pp ( I am not supporting her) who virat thinks he love, feels guilty for her situation, family so obviously he will tolerate her and tries to ignore her

See the thing is by being attracted to Sai he has already that promise to Pakhi. He may not love Sai yet but he does have some romantic feelings for her. By doing what he is doing he is basically cheating Pakhi by giving her false hope. He is never going to have any other relationship with her .. if he had the guts he would have stopped her marriage and told his family about his feelings for her. He could not do it then and there is no way he will do it now. So He needs to clear the air with Pakhi so that delusional woman can finally try to move on. His silence is giving her false hope

He wants her in CN for his family/until Samrat is back by hook or crook. He gets her to stay in CN using the only 🍭 he has, I'm your best friend and not argue with her when she insults Sai.

He thinks once Samrat is back, he will take over and Pakhi can move on. Until then he has to keep her in limbo for her to stay in CN. Maybe back of his mind, he knows she will leave if he closes the chapter completely in clear words.

I dont think she is his plan B in case things go bad with Sai. Pakhi is and always will only be Samrat's wife. He treats her as a friend, but he knows she feels more.

Not sure when will he draw the line or what will make him to take a stand against Pakhi.

It seems like never if we go per KD, even when she accused him of getting her pregnant, he still cares of her till the end per synopsis.

After reading & hitting ‘like’ for both Waiting’s & Janeausten’s posts, I am more confused about Virat than Virat is about himself 😂😂😂

@red Oh yeah, that is also possible...given Pakhi's history of threatening to leave CN
