While they play exes in ‘Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin’, their journey as a couple in real life began way before they parted ways on the TV show. Neil Bhatt fell in love with his co-actor, Aishwarya Sharma, during the course of the shoot and started dating her in October last year. They had a Roka ceremony in the actress’ hometown, Mahidpur (Madhya Pradesh), today.

In an exclusive chat with BT, Neil shares, “We are shooting together since September last year. We enjoyed each other’s company and became friends. Our friendship soon blossomed into love. ‘Let’s just give it a shot’, aisa nahi karna tha. We always intended to take our relationship seriously right from the word go. It was always for a long-term relationship and not the usual short-lived one. We didn’t even ask each other out. We realised that something was brewing between us, but we wanted it to grow into something serious. That was the idea rather than asking ‘I have feelings for you. Do you feel the same way?’. The thought was how to take things forward.”

Compatibility and understanding are of paramount importance in every relationship and Neil feels fortunate to have found his partner in Aishwarya. So, what made him fall in love with her? He says, “She is extremely dedicated and fun at the same time. That’s the kind of person I am, too. I am mad and focused. Both of us are like two extremes of the pendulum, striking a fine balance between the two traits. Besides, we have common interests -- both of us are dancers. Look, it’s all about compatibility, love, and understanding with us. It’s all things love (smiles)

The USP of their relationship is that Neil and Aishwarya’s conversations are not restricted to their profession. They can chat about anything under the sun. He says, “The best part is that we don’t talk about work. It is a byproduct because we are together on the set every day. What really works for us is the way we are with each other -- free and comfortable. Our conversations are beyond aaj kya scene hai, kab free hoge, kahaan jaana hai? We are fine with not going out, just sitting on a couch and chatting away. Good looks don’t last forever, but good conversations do.”

When do they plan to tie the knot? “It will be some time this year, but a date will be announced at the right time,” Neil signs off.

Tbh in the interview ayesha calls neil sir so its best nothin brew between them. Plus their ages are far apart its best if she goes for someone her age i wouldnt mind aniket now 😂.

I hope fans respect their private lives. I saw few Instagram posts and was honestly embarrassed by their reactions. Tagging them and reacting negatively about is really not decent.

I hope people refrain from doing that. They are professionals and I believe they will do justice to their roles on screen.

it was a personal wake up call for me to stop shopping real life couples and not get too obsessed with on screen couples.

I love sairat and will continue to watch for them until the day I feel that their chemistry or the storyline is not to my liking

Lol not 100% sure Neil is in Love .. I may not be an expert but the Roka pics tell a different story .. She is more in love than him😏body lang 😬 when they actually get married we will then send heart warming wishes to both of them🥰.. if they do come for their honeymoon in London ( her dream will come true as Sai will have to stay back🤭) .. I will be happy to drive them around uk 🤣😂as of now fingers crossed, there is still some hope for sairat (real) .. its 2021 we are on lockdown anything could happen 😷🤐

I find it interesting how you can be in a relationship for years and not get married then get engaged or married to someone else within months. Life and relationships work in mysterious ways.
