She is not letting go and won't let go because of her personality. Virat admired her and was infatuated with her in such a short span. With her personality, the number of days does not matter. Moreover, Virat validated her obsession by his vaada which she probably took as "I'm so imp./so admired and loved by him that he'd choose to be single the rest of his life because he could not get me". That is why she will not let go of the vaada, for as long as it stands, she can pretend that she is being desired by the object that she herself desires. It serves her ego, that bit.
