In fact dress is a string motif for vampiness - the vampy bahu will invariably be shown in salwar suit and the ‘other woman’ in western attire.

So while south shows tend to be less regressive in some ways they are very traditional & conservative settings.

This is a very good point, tfs.

If yes, then my time with the show in short-lived .

Also, looks like GHKKPM is more likely to continue interminably unlike the tam version which ended in some 1.5 years .

tamil remake version is short compared to hindi original. the tamil remake of yeh hein mohabatein ended in 2 yrs and 2 months as the female lead quit the show. only the remake of saath nibhana sathiya remake ran for 4 years.😆

I wouldn't mind if the series was finite aur finished in 1 or 2 years as long as its worth remembering and revisiting. If there were some good scenes in tamil one they can use that too. Ghkpm makers ne creativity ke naam pe ab tak bahut kam original scenes diye hai. But thank the lord ki kuch toh acchi cute scenes socha unhone. Vaise bhi shiw ki TRP sai ke volcanic eruptions aur Sairat ke cute/romantic/masti or nok jhok ke liye hi hai. If virat starts fighting and yelling, tab toh kaafi log will get pissed! So its in their best interest to show more Sairat. Especially a sceneike this - sai studying hard but struggling to stay awake and virat making her coffee. And maybe even we can add ashwini finding out and proudly announcing to CM that jisko paani ubalna nahi aata voh biwi ke liye chai/coffee banata hai. PP ka close up dekhne layak hoga.

Then we have to hope for either of the 2 leads quitting the show in 1-2 years or of some miracle happening😆.

If TRPs start dropping, the channel will start meddling and ruin the story like they did for good shows like KHKT and Bepannah given the fact the TRP is contributed by the regressive content seeking aunties who form the majority.

Unfortunately, folks like us who watch the show for the romance and content are a small fraction of the TRP audience.
