What is maturity?

Doing anything which keeps the parivaar together and prestige of parivaar, prestige of elders of the Parivaar is maturity.

This includes ignoring untoward insults (elders have right to that, you can kind of pacify them but cannot hit back).

Ignore unethical behaviours. Look the other way.

Do not destabilize the established hierarchy.

For Sai, truth is truth, insult is insult (irrespective of age), giving back for an unjustified insult, calling out for unethical behaviour, calling out for misoguny is the norm. E.g. She would have been fine if MMK kaku had left the reception. For her truth, justice matters more than keeping the parivar together, prestige of the parivar and ego of thd elders of the parivar. Hence she is immature...

This is not just Virat, it is a common concept in Indian families. If Bahu replies back, she is bad, immature. Sometimes I think being good bahu in the Indian context is being a doormat. You cant be an independent, self-respected, girl if you want to be a good daughter in law
