Strength respects strength

It looked hurried and most of us will be left wondering why Bhavani gave in at the count of 5. She has made it clear that she's doing it for "Ghar ki izzat" and it should not be seen as an acceptance of the marriage or Sai -- this is true because, at face value, it is a complex issue of prestige. Beta apni pasand ki bahu lekar aaya toh log baatein karenge lekin agar wo Ghar chhodhh Kar chali gayi to naak kat jayegi.

But despite that being the underlying reason, it is not the only one. I think today's scenes - the focus on Bhavani and Sai more than anyone else is an indication that Bhavani has gauged Sai's tenacity. She knows she won't be able to walkover the "junglee mulgi". It does not mean that Bhavani will soften anytime soon or not harass or taunt Sai but it means that something about Sai has struck her.

Loha lohe Jo kaat ta hai. Bhavani is someone who is authoritarian and narcissistic to a point so far ( we have no back story of this generation so just from what we have seen). Her issue, as Ashwini mentioned, is not just the fact that Virat married an 'unworthy' girl outside the caste but also that her strength, power and position is being challenged repeatedly.

Bhavani has recognised Sai's strength and knew that Sai will live up to her challenge and walk out of the house (of course, Virat in tow by default). But to an extent, I think Sai's courage has also shaken her (in an unimpressive way). In the days to come, it will be worth watching whether this dynamics of power within the family will shift towards Sai-Ashwini and how Bhavani uses Sai's own strengths to pull the tug of war.

But, Sai has been noticed -- by Virat and also Bhavani (i don't think the opinion of her train of nakalchi Bandars matters that much anyway 😂😂)

Before I start off with my views, can I just say that I love your analysis! I really look forward to your posts after literally every episode! You have this way with words that catches people's attention immediately.

Even I was surprised (though not disappointed) that Bhavani so easily accepted defeat and went to complete the rasam. She is definitely worried about the ghar ki izzat, but it's probably the first time in a long time that someone has challenged her this way, and it has created some kind of an impression on her, good or bad.

And yes... Sai is powerful... maybe not in terms of money or class, but she does exude an aura of strength power and will not just sit back and accept all the BS thrown at her easily.

Maybe Bhavani will not warm up to her easily... but when situations call for it, I don't think she'll be able to stop herself from listening to Sai's words. It'll really be fun to see how slowly the power dynamics in the house will change.

Sai might be able to get a strong hold in the household since she has no current attachments and/or fears noone and also consequently get Ashwini her deserved place if Bhavani Kaku aint careful. I think she has recognized that trait hence she is playing thodu safe at the moment 😆

Bhavani somewhere senses the kind of person Sai is and has understood this girl is not going to take any crap lying down.

I think people like Bhavani usually rule over people due to their fear and weakness. The more everyone keeps quite,the more she tries to suppress everyone. She understood that Sai is not someone who will keep quiet.

Also I feel, after Sai has come the atmosphere has changed in the house. Ashwini who never spoke against her is taking matter into her own hands not giving two hoots about it. The house is almost divided into two teams, one against Sai and One with Sai. And she is slowly loosing her grip over the family. If she had let Sai go, ek toh Virat would have gone with her and them Ashwini would have turned more and more bitter as well as strong. Moreover even other people might have opposed her.

Still I did find her reaction surprising because I never thought she would give much bhaav to Sai leaving the house as Bhavani didn't want to accept her in first place. They could have executed it a bit differently

The episode today was just like Sai .
