What exactly do Virat and Pakhi expect from their relationship??

They keep calling each other...

Virat knows Samraat is aware of his relationship with Pakhi.

Pakhi knows that Samraat may be doubting her.

Pakhi knows few family members are aware.

Does she expect to come as Virat's wife and the family will accept her with open arms...

Virat expects that Samraat will not return and he will marry Pakhi???

Then why do they keep calling each other and calling their relationship friendly???

I haven't seen the show yet as I am waiting to start watching from the time Sai and Virat enter the house. But having seen the bengali and tamil versions my view are based on those shows.

Virat basically feels guilty in sacrificing his love for his family and thereby letting Pakhi down. Thats why he promised her that he will never get married as that would be his way of making it up to her. Once Pakhi married his brother Virat let go of his love for her and only looks at her as a special friend and not as the love of his life. He would never think of marrying her again in his brother's absence as he would have done that before the marriage of Pakhi and Samrat when he had a chance.

But Pakhi's case is different. Although she married Samrat her heart belongs solely and wholly to Virat. She still sees Virat as the person she trully loves thats the reason she is already irritated (due to jealousy and insecurity) by Sai although they havent met. If given a chance pakhi would garb the chance with both hands to marry virat irrespective of what his family would think.

Virat calls her as he feels responsible for her questionable married life but Pakhi calls him as she cannot forget him.

I don't know about Virat, but I hate how Pakhi feels entitled in that "friendship"...

Heck they've known each other for one week at most...and Pakhi calls him at every opportunity, questions him about his job, tells him to come back to her because she feels lonely????? I'm sorry, this is not friendship.

In real life, nobody would want a friend like Pakhi because she is plain selfish, what's with forcing your bestie to come to your parents house at midnight because you want to rant about your 2 day wala pyaar....

And virat needs to put a stop to that as soon as possible. And Pakhi needs to wake up.

- I have no problem if pakhi calls virat if it is just friendly talk... like she would talk with that other devar in house... (sorry forgot the name)...

- BUT she keeps reminding him about their past feelings/promises (or whatever)... and she is trying to reinstate that .... which is EMA now.

Like most bangaloreans I am lucky enough to understand all 4 south indian languages. Having watched Bokul Kotha now I can understand some bengali too.

The bengali version is 600+ episodes and I stopped around half way as from there the story was a drag. Once they both got together there were a couple of unnecessary tracks of Iman (Sai) misunderstanding Ranajay (Virat) having an affair first with a woman called Shruti and then later with Roopkotha (Pakhi). Also in the bengali version Baadshah (Samrat) dies of heart attack which once again brings Roopkotha back in Ranajay and Iman's lives. So personally I felt it was a drag. Ranajay and Iman are shown to separate for 5 years with Roopkatha marrying someone else at the end and bringing the leads back together.

The tamil version is 300+ episodes. I am currently watching episode 225 but have an idea of how the story goes in the future. The story changes here after Arjun (Samrat) comes back. Unlike the bengali version he doesn't die but will be a solid support to Saranya (Sai) as a brother. Just when Saranya and Vikram (Virat) think of getting back together Vikram has a accident resulting in memory loss. Although Akhilandeswari (Bhavani) tries to use this to separate the leads he falls in love with her all over again and finally regains his memeory after saving her from Jagtap. the final track is Saranya getting Priya (Bhavani's daughter) married to her lover. Unlike the bengali version here Arjun and Sathya (Pakhi) have a happy ending as they accept each other and become a couple.

OK since you want to know what is in store for us in the future here are a few spoilers.

the next 100 episodes are going to be super fun. Sai is going to make Bhavani, ninad ans omi's life upside down. Its super fun the way she boldly gives them back what they give her. the bond between Ashwini and Sai will be wonderful. For a change it will be more like a mother-daughter than saas-bahu.

having watched a few episodes of the hindi show I am curious how they show the interaction between Bhavani and Sai. Because in both the Bengali and Tamil versions there are times Bhavani and her 2 devars fear Sai. But here they have shown Bhavani as a no-nonsense strict authoritarian. For eg., during Sai and Virat's reception Sai and Bhavani have a huge fight and Bhavani is about to leave the reception. Sai immediately changes her attitude and comically threatens Bhavani and forces her to stay back and also forces her to have a few snaps taken.

Hindi shows are usually (in)famous for ruining the stories when remaking. Hope they show Sai atleast 50% of Iman or sharanya then you will enjoy it as you would have never seen a female lead who is so bold in indian telly.

For eg., there is one scene in Tamil version where Akhilandeswari (Bhawani) asks Sai to not call her as Periya Atthe (which means badi sasumaa). so immediately she calls her as Akhila shocking Akhilamdeswari and the rest of the family members.

Eagerly waiting for next 5-10 episodes to pass and Sai making an entry into Chavan family. The house will literally turn into 2 camps. One supporting her and one against her. It will be super fun to see Sai break every single stereotype of indian telly bahu.

I can’t stand their phone calls. It makes me cringe. (Yes it looks really disgusting because their relationship is not friends but they are not respecting anyone mainly samraat but in this phone call saga Virat is to be blamed mostly compared to pakhi whom Samraat is related since a few days only but Virat is his brother)

From what I've read, both Emon and Sharanya are really well written characters. I hope they make Sai the same way and not a girl who wants to win over this mad circus Chavan family.

I want the makers of this show to follow the ORIGINAL version that is in BENGALI. I think till now except for some minor changes like Sai in safe house they are religiously following the Bengali version. I happened to watch few scenes from the original on Hotstar and I must say it was amazing! All the characters over there Emon (Sayi), Ronojoy (Virat), Roopkotha (Pakhi) were soo good 👏👏in their respective roles. Even Roopkatha was great to watch. All the leads seemed to renowned actors and their acting skills were first rate and not at all irritating or OTT. I think this is very essential to captivate the viewers who don't prefer to watch exaggerated drama. I haven't watched the entire series but the scenes I had a glimpse of were on point. The other versions might be good as well but since this show is a remake of the original I want the makers to stick to the Bengali version and minor changes here and there do happen depending on the actors' availability, budget, creativity etc.
