Part 86
Her heart sinks. Her heart that could feel his emotions & pain that he had suppressed for years.
Her eyes also have tears as she holds him in her warm embrace to give him all the warmth and comfort that she could.
He buries his head in her shoulders letting his emotions flow.
Somehow, he doesn't feel conscious or ashamed of showing his true emotions to her.
She also does not judge him. She just wants to create a safe space for him to take out all his suppressed emotions and he knows it.... his heart knows it.

The drive back was uneventful and silent.
He seemed drowned in some thoughts.
Geet also didn't feel need to speak.
But she also didn't feel jittery in his company.

They reach home and go into their separate rooms.
Later that night, Maan lay awake, the silence of his room almost too loud. His mind replayed their moments together at the ashram, the way she’d held him when he was at his most vulnerable, the gentleness of her smile, her presence that had somehow softened the edges of his hardened heart. He couldn’t shake the feeling that he’d left a part of himself back there, a part that had blossomed in her light.
Unable to resist, he found himself wandering toward her room, stopping just outside her door. For a moment, he hesitated, his hand hovering near the handle, his heart pounding with the weight of everything unspoken. He knew that knocking would be breaking an unspoken boundary, pushing the fragile line between their contractual arrangement and the real connection growing between them.
He took a deep breath and retreated back to his room, convincing himself that he’d talk to her in the morning. Yet, sleep evaded him, his thoughts tangled in the silent promise of something more than just an agreement on paper.
The night was thick with silence, the kind that seemed to carry its own weight.
Maan lay in bed, wrestling with his thoughts, trying to quiet the hum of emotions that had been stirring since they’d returned from the ashram.
Just as he started to drift into a restless sleep, a soft knock echoed from his door.
He frowned, surprised. Geet never knocked on his door this late.
Curiosity piqued, he got up, his heart thudding lightly as he pulled open the door.
There she stood, her gaze a bit shy, her fingers nervously tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.
"G-good night bolna tha," she murmured, her voice barely above a whisper.
He looked at her, a small smile tugging at his lips. "Yeah…okay…good night."
But before he could close the door, she rose on her tiptoes, leaning up and planting a quick, soft kiss on his lips.
The kiss was brief, innocent, but it sent a shock of warmth through him.
Before she could pull back, his body reacted on instinct. His hand wrapped around her wrist, tugging her closer.
In the next moment, his lips captured hers in a deep, lingering kiss, his other hand finding the small of her back, pressing her against him.
It was a kiss filled with every unspoken word, every glance, every moment they had shared in silence.
He could feel her surprise melt away as she responded, her arms slowly wrapping around his neck, her lips moving in sync with his, hesitant but eager.
When they finally broke apart, both were breathless, their hearts racing in the quiet of the hallway.
Geet's cheeks had turned a brilliant shade of red, her gaze fixed on the floor, too embarrassed to meet his eyes.
A mischievous grin spread across Maan’s face as he leaned in, his voice low and teasing.
"Will you be able to sleep well now, yaa… ache se good night kaise karte hain thoda aur ache se explain karun?"
Her breath hitched, and she looked up at him, the embarrassment giving way to something softer, braver.
She swallowed, her voice almost a whisper. "Aur… explain karo."
For a moment, he was stunned, her words catching him off guard.
But then he smiled, his eyes darkening with the spark of an invitation he’d waited too long to accept.
He cupped her face gently, his thumb brushing her cheek as he leaned down once more, his lips finding hers with a slow, tender intensity.
This kiss was different—not hurried or impulsive, but filled with a deeper understanding, a recognition of the feelings that had been building between them.
Their breaths mingled as the kiss deepened, each touch and caress a silent confession of all they couldn’t put into words. When they finally broke apart again, Geet rested her forehead against his, her eyes closed, a contented smile playing on her lips.
He pulled her close, wrapping his arms around her in a warm embrace, whispering, "Good night, Geet."
This time, she didn’t hesitate to look up, her eyes meeting his with a newfound confidence. "Good night, Maan."
With one last lingering glance, she turned and slipped back to her room, leaving him standing there with a warmth in his heart he hadn’t felt in years, a smile that stayed with him long after she was gone.

Geet had been buzzing with excitement all day.
It was her dream to attend an award show of this caliber, an event that brought together the brightest stars and biggest names in the industry.
She had gotten ready early, her gown flowing around her in soft waves, her makeup carefully done to bring out her natural glow.
She looked like a real-life princess and, for a moment, allowed herself to imagine what it might be like to truly belong here.
Arriving at the venue hours before the main event, Geet was ushered to a seat far in the back, somewhere in the 15th or 16th row. She didn’t mind the distance. Just being there felt like an honor.
By 6 p.m., as the technical awards began, the prime rows were still empty, the stars and VIPs yet to arrive. The main awards would start later, and by then, the front seats would be filled with industry legends. For now, she contented herself with observing the excitement from afar, hoping to soak in every moment of the evening.
Soon after, she was called on stage to present a minor technical award.
No speech, no grand applause, just a quick appearance and a small trophy. But she took pride in the moment, holding the award like a precious keepsake as she walked off stage.
The trophy was modest, nothing like the grand statues she had seen at past award shows. Still, she was grateful to be recognized, even if only in a small way. She consoled herself with the thought, *I’m lucky to be here at all. *
As the event moved on, she began to feel more and more like a stranger, surrounded by people eager to flatter the influential stars and industry moguls. Conversations around her were exclusive, circling the elite; any attention toward her felt half-hearted or entirely superficial. She told herself to stay positive, to enjoy the event from her seat far back, even as she felt the sting of isolation.
She glanced at her small award again and decided to send a photo of it to Maan with a short message: *"Got my first award 😊"*. She didn’t expect much; he had only responded with a thumbs-up emoji earlier when she’d mentioned the invitation. She figured this world of glitz and glamour held little interest for him.
What she didn’t know was that Maan had made a rare appearance, seated in the very front row, surrounded by stars and industry tycoons he had little patience for. He was here for one reason: to surprise her, to watch her in her moment of pride. Despite his usual distaste for such events, he’d dressed in a sharp tuxedo and tolerated the evening’s pretentiousness just to see her.
When his phone buzzed with her message, he opened it, and his heart sank. He looked at the tiny award she held, her quiet pride coming through in the picture. He had missed her moment. Without wasting another second, he stood up, murmuring a quick excuse, and began weaving through the crowd in search of her, his eyes scanning the rows for her face.
Unaware of his presence, Geet had slipped out to get some air. The constant fawning over celebrities and the superficial warmth in people’s voices had begun to feel stifling. She wandered toward the photo op area, clutching her trophy in both hands, trying to gather herself.
Suddenly, a group of paparazzi spotted her, likely recognizing her association with Maan Khuraana, one of the most reclusive yet intriguing names in business. They wasted no time in crowding around her, flashing their cameras and firing off questions with sly, knowing expressions.
“So, Ms. Geet,” one of them smirked, “what’s it like being here with a friend like Maan Khuraana? Must be nice to have connections!”
Her stomach twisted, but she managed a polite smile, pretending the comment hadn’t stung. She took a step back, hoping to escape, but another reporter stepped forward, his tone even sharper. “Do you really think you deserve to be here? Or is this… because of someone else?”
The questions grew more pointed, each carrying a sharper edge, insinuating she was nothing more than a social climber. They threw accusations at her, questioning her morality, her intentions, her relationship with Maan. She held her head high, fighting to keep her composure, but their words left her feeling small, undeserving, and alone.
Geet tried to move away from the crowd, finally managing to duck behind the large photo op banner. She leaned against the wall, closing her eyes as she steadied her breath. The sting of their words felt like tiny cuts, their implication lingering painfully in her mind.
“Are you feeling okay?”
The familiar voice startled her, low and filled with concern. She opened her eyes to see Maan standing there, his gaze focused on her, and for the first time that evening, she felt truly seen.
“Maan?” she breathed, her voice thick with emotion, unable to hide her surprise.
He nodded, stepping closer, his presence a silent comfort. "I’m here," he said gently, his eyes full of understanding.
Her lips trembled as she looked away, holding herself together. “I… I’m fine,” she managed, her voice barely above a whisper. But just as she tried to brush past him, her gown caught on her heel, and she stumbled. In an instant, his arms were around her, steadying her with a quiet strength that felt like coming home.
Gently, he knelt down, carefully disentangling the delicate fabric from her heel, his fingers brushing her ankle in a gesture so tender it made her heart ache. As he stood up, his gaze fell to the small trophy in her hands. He took her cold hands in his, his warmth melting through the chill that had crept over her.
“Is this the award they gave you?” he asked, his voice soft but laced with a quiet anger she knew wasn’t directed at her.
She nodded, her lips curving in a sad smile. “It’s small, I know. But I was just glad to be here, to… to be part of it.”
He lifted her hand, his thumb tracing the edge of the award as he looked at her with a depth of feeling that made her heart race. “You deserve better than this,” he said, his voice steady, unyielding. “I am so proud of you, Geet. For everything. For being here, despite everything.”
Geet’s heart caught in her throat, his words breaking through the walls of doubt and insecurity she’d tried so hard to keep up. "You… you really are?” she whispered, her voice trembling with disbelief.
He nodded, his gaze unwavering, his hand rising to gently cradle her cheek. She could feel his breath against her skin as he drew closer, his fingers brushing a stray tear from her face. His eyes dropped to her lips, and his voice softened, barely audible.
“May I?” he whispered.
She nodded, her heart racing as he leaned in. His lips met hers in a gentle, tender kiss, filled with everything he couldn’t put into words, every feeling they had both buried beneath the guise of their contract. In that moment, the world faded away, the hurt, the whispers, the doubts—all disappeared, leaving only the two of them.
But as they pulled apart, a loud gasp pierced the silence. The flimsy banner they had hidden behind had collapsed, exposing them to a sea of paparazzi, cameras flashing madly as they scrambled to capture the scandalous scene.
Wish u a very Happy and prosperous Diwali dear.Wonderful update 💝 finally they r together in a happy way maan came for d award function and cameras flashed on their private moment too will they now say they r married or what will happen now waiting for next update eagerly.
Very interesting update dear 🙂
Just loved it 🤗
I really appreciate that Geet & Maan made things easier & finally they tried to get hold of the situation 😔 but they didn't blamed each other it was natural due to their insecurities in the relationship
I am really happy that after initial tense encounters their real love & trust surfaced their insecurities ... I just loved the initiation of kiss from Geet ... Though Maan wanted but knowing him well she took a chance 😁
The award ceremony was good but as expected Geet will be questioned accordingly I loved how Maan became her strength when she felt weak or she was made feel humiliated by their words
Now this unexpected capturing of their kiss has made everything turn upside down & things are going to be complicated now hopefully Maan tackle them on time
Waiting for more
Thanks for the PM ☺️
Keep writing ✍️
