Prologue…..

A glimpse from the past…

Throwing more light on our chue mue Geet Handa’s character here…

Actually Geet was too reserved to even have friends at school except for Annie, Geet was more obsessed with herself and didn’t pay attention to others at all… that’s a little rude and arrogant, that’s how she presented herself everywhere, it was a bit of a problem for Ranno too…

Ranno wanted Geet to come out of her shell and be free like Annie… Geet keeps everything to herself, be it’s her happiness or pain…

Once Ranno went out to a function leaving Geet alone at home…

Ranno didn’t want to leave her alone, but Geet was as usual adamant not to go with Ranno, Geet hates being with people, that too strangers.. her world ends with Ranno, Maninder and Darji at home, and one and only Annie at school….

She didn’t need anyone else… she never interacted much with her teachers too …

She never had to, Annie was there always and she did all the talking, actually Annie was her PR….

Annie nahi toh Geet ka interaction toh nil hai…

It’s all Ranno’s fault, Geet was a weak child and fell sick often, so Ranno never left her alone, she kept Geet with herself and didn’t let her go out and play with other kids…

Instead Geet was kept under house arrest all the time…

Her only outings were when Geet accompanied her Darji on his evening walks.. then too she would just enjoy her Darji’s company and when Darji comes across anyone on the way, Geet would become restless while he talks with them, Darji always tries to limit the talks as he also knew that his pothi doesn’t like outsiders much….

That’s why she loves her Darji a lot, he understands her very well….

Geet slowly made friends with TV and as she grew up she started reading… that was the one thing that she loves.. she could read a newspaper for hours and be happy… the other thing was music which gave her company anywhere, anytime..

Ranno had strict orders that Geet wouldn’t take her ipod with her when they go out, specially to KM… what will they think of Geet? Pehle hi sabko lagtha hai ki ye ladki gamandhi hai… Issiliye asaani se kissi ke saath baat bhi nahi karthi…

And also she is a very very private person… she keeps everything within herself… she doesn’t even share anything with even Ranno unnecessarily…

Once Geet tried to take something from the attic and she fell off the ladder trying to take it…

She was hurt badly but she thought that she made a mistake and Ranno would never leave her alone if she came to know about that…

Ranno herself found it from the scars… she then threatened Geet and got the truth out of her…

Thank God it was not a serious one, what would have happened if it worsened or got infected?

Maninder was like that, stubborn and self-obsessed…

He too kept his secrets within himself, he never shared any business problems with Ranno or anyone for that matter… he always tried to find a solution on his own.. mostly he did find them, but at what cost?

He went through a lot of stress and made a lot of enemies unnecessarily….

Luckily Madan understands Maninder and so no problem as of now….

Maan too thought that Geet was a self-conceited, egoist arrogant girl….

But later when he saw her friendship with Annie and how she was so dependent on Annie for any interactions, he understood her problem.. she had an aversion for any conversation with people, she had zero conversation skills…

Maan also discovered that she was too timid to face people…

Whenever he got the chance to look into her eyes he could only see fear and confusion, and also ignorance of the real world…

She was pretty otherwise knowledgeable owing to her wide reading habits, but that didn’t improve her knowledge about the small world that she was a real part of… rather she maintained a safe distance from the reality… she felt insecure in the real world… she was happy in her own ideal world… the one where people were like these God’s own children, noble lots, next only to God Himself, Geet was like that only, God fearing, believing in Karma… if you do good then your life will be good…. .

For her being good was minding their own business, not bothered about other’s matters…. She hates people intruding her personal space.. so she hates Maan… the omnipresent intruder…

Once when the Handas came to KM for lunch on a Sunday, Kiran had gone out with Annie to her friend’s home for lunch…

So it was just the Madan family hosting the Handas that day…

Ranno likes that very much, this time she can be herself and do whatever she wants without the fear of her sister in law at the back of her mind…

But Geet was disappointed that Annie was not there to give her company as always… Anyways Maan was there of at all she needed company!!!…

Geet who was not interested in playing with anyone except Annie, kept running after Ranno all the time…

Ranno and Sheetal had a lot of gossips to catch up with…

They didn’t want Geet to hear them(internal family matters), Sheetal asks Geet to go out and play….

Geet had to leave them alone…

Geet went out and didn’t know what to do….

She found a magazine and was happy to pass her time reading that…

She was reading in the living room, where Madan and Mohinder were discussing their business….

She was totally engrossed in the magazine that she didn’t realize that Madan and her father had left while she got new company….

Maan came in search of Geet and found her alone in the living room…

He didn’t want to disturb her and he just sits there as usual admiring her…

But then he was curious to talk with her as that was a good opportunity with them being alone, Maan thought that she would not talk to him because her friend Annie was always there…

Now she could talk to him without any hesitation, haina?

Maan: tum kya padh rahi ho?

Geet is shocked to hear Maan’s voice….

She wouldn’t answer him… she didn’t want more attention from him, he had been annoying her with this constant stalking which she didn’t like much…

Geet continued reading as if she didn’t hear him…

Maan moved a little closer so that she would hear him loud and clear that time…

Maan: kya kar rahi ho?

Geet got up from her seat and looked at him… she was so scared… she didn’t know what to do….

Maan snatched the magazine from her so that he could look at her beautiful face properly…

Maan kept looking at her and suddenly Geet pushed him and ran to her mother…

Maan was embarrassed that she would go complain to her mother….

Maan left that place immediately….

From then on, Maan never risked to initiate any conversation with his silent beauty… he was more than happy just to keep stalking her from a safe distance…

As they grew up Geet started to avoid being with him…

Geet started to hide away from him as much as possible…

Maan enjoyed their hide and seek for that gave him immense pleasure, the way she tried to run away from him, made him more and more anxious to get closer to her, know more about her…

But Maan respected her privacy, she likes to be left alone… so he let her be, she is not going anywhere, she is here to stay near Maan forever, and this little distance between them is not a permanent one, Maan knows that one day Geet will break her barrier and he is ready to wait until then…

Geet an introvert, loves being all by herself. O my she didn't even say that she fell down. Geet hates people interfering in her business and Maan being her stalker became her omnipresent intruder🤣.

Maan trying to initiate talk between them, Geet starring at him and running from there, making him feel that stalking her was far better then trying to make her talk, was funny.
