He came out of his house and was about go, when he noticed her, coming from the other side. That very familiar feeling of restlesness came back to him as soon as he realised that it was only two of them there, otherwise the lane was empty. He thought that was the best opportunity and he may get the chance to talk to her. But it wasnt that easy, given the way she was hell bent on avoiding him.
She was her chirpy self, lost in her own world...until she noticed him! And instantly, she became silent &nervouss. She dipped her head, ending any possibility for an eye contact.

He still stood there impetiently...not knowing what to do? She was coming closer with slow steps , would soon pass him and he didnt know how to approach her. He kept looking at her with a longing.
And just before she was about to pass him.. She looked up hesitatingly...allowing his eyes to meet hers! And making his heart to skip several beats!
He stood rooted to his place, his heart beating uncontrollably, with what he saw in her eyes. Their eyes had met only for a few seconds...but in those few seconds, she had let him to have glimps of her heart, her emotions. There were so many things in her eyes...fear, nervousness, hesitation, excitment & in between all these, there was something else too...something which he had been searching for.. .
And with that, she just passed by him...leaving him behind!
