Next morning

Maan taiyaar hoke office ke liye nikla to Geet was there in the hall laying breakfast on the table with her hair clutched up in pajama and tee

G-Good morning!

He is little taken aback

M-Morning...you had dinner last night?

G-Nope! I just woke up and it was morning. I guess all the strong medicines

Maan nods.

M- So how do you feel now?

G-Never better. Sit

Maan sits down

M-What's for breakfast?

He asks looking around

G-Well...I made some French toast. Would that be enough?

M- It would be perfect

G-And off course there is tea

Maan smiles and starts eating

M- You should eat too

Geet also sits to eat

G-Mujhe samajh nahi aaya kya banau...aur zyada kuch tha bhi nahi...toh ... you can ask me if you want anything else and...black tea h...dudh nahi hai

M- Yes. Ttake a pen paper and write the groceries you think we need. Usually I am just too lazy to do anything about it and eat take out. Somehow I don't think that lifestyle appeals to you

Geet smiles

G-i emm...if I am here...I can happily make something more for us

M-If you can feed me I'll be highly obliged. I am bored of outside food

She smiles

G-I'll be glad but you have to survive my cooking. Manzoor?

M- How bad can it be? Mujhe mazoor hai

G-Khaa ke dekho phir deal sign karna

M-If it's too bad I always have back up noodles and pasta. So I am not too worried. You on the other hand better improve if you are too bad coz you'll have to eat what you cook or stay hungry

G-Well...you can make-

She stops then nods

M- Make what?

Maan asks to make her continue from where she stopped

G-Eat

He shuts up his grinning face and shoves the toast in his mouth

M- You better get that list made. I have to leave soon

G-Can I message you?

M-Sure whatever it is that you want

He gets up

Takes his plate and cup to the sink and washes them quickly

G-Arre...I will wash them

M-Why would you wash them? I have been washing them, I can still wash them. You are cooking that's more than enough

He gets his keys and wallet and briefcase

She smiles and pushes him in a friendly manner

G-Gooo

Maan chala jata hai reminding Geet to message him for sure

Maan reaches office

Akhil is in hyper mode

Akhil- Maan! Cabin mein aao fast!

Maan gaya cabin mein leisurely

Akhil-You know what? Geet just went aur uske gharwale nahi bata rahe wo kahan hai. Tumhe pata hai wo kahan hai? Tum usko hospital le gaye the naa

Maan-I just dropped her stuff for her at the hospital...I don't know anything else...neither asked...she mentioned Africa though...

Akhil- No! No! No! That little mouse can't even leave her hose on her own...she can't go to Africa...wo yahin kahin hai...kaise bhi karke usse dhundo. Just find her!

M-Okay, I'll get on it. Meanwhile do you want me to arrange a substitute for you? I know people at the employment agency since I aws there too

Akhil-No, I can take care of her work coz she is coming back real soon. Nobody does this to me

M- Well what about your meetings today? Can you mange 2-3 days without her? Maybe she needs to get some rest and come back to her sense. It may take time. You sure you don't want anyone else meanwhile? Maan! Don't piss me off and do what's needs to be done. Out!

Maan shrugs smirking inwardly

Akhil is going to be more than just a little pissed in the coming weekend

Maan ka phone baja

Maan ne uthaya

M-Hello?

G-Hi, its Geet

M-Hey! I know

G-Oh...I hope you are not busy...I will just take a minute

M-Sure what is it? I am not busy...I have been given a really simple task...

G-Well...I was thinking about the groceries and...we have so much that we don't have... you know

M- So? I got a car now. I can get lots of things. I got a pen paper ready. What do we need?

G-I was thinking...I don't have anything to do...why don't I catch a bus and get the things

M-Look, I am going to have to go to the market anyway so I might as well bring what we need besides there is no bus there. My friend wanted a quite place, no traffic and horns

G-oh toh likho

Maan starts writing

Geet Maan ko lambi chaudi list likha deti hai. Kuch ajeeb-ajeeb eatables ke nam bhi, asking from inputs like...tum iss waqt kya khaate ho etc

Maan ko laga ki abhi likh lo baad mein kharidte time pooch lega

Tiffin box bhi likha diya, clip bhi likha diya

Maan chup chap note kar raha hai, not really noticing wo kya likha rahi hai ; Geet ka dimaag baad mein khayega

Geet ne likha diya sab

G-Ho gaya. Aisa emergency nahi hai. Tum installment mein bhi laa sakte ho

M-Okay. I'll see what all I can get today. Tum batao kya kar rahi thi?

G-Main?

She chuckles

G-Ghar saaf

M-oh you don't have to do that! It's a big place. Just clean out the places you will need

G-Haan tumhara bass chale to khud bhi dhool mein pade raho! It's such a big house. It's really important to maintain a beautiful place to keep it beautiful. Tumhara dost aisa ganda ghar dekhega to kya sochega, bolo?

M-He won't mind. He isn't a neatness freak. But he'll like you a lot

Geet smiles

G-At least someone would like me. What were you doing?

M-Kuch khaas nahi wahi kaam. It's not so fun without your bickering anymore. Koi hai nahi naa kaam na karne par daantne ko.

G-See I am bickering on phone

Maan laughs

G-Haan thik hai thik hai! kaam karo. Samjhe!
