He kept stealing glances at her from the moment she stepped into the car. she wore a plain dark blue top with black leggings and a long weird chain which somehow looked good on her. Her hair was tied up with... wait was that pencil? yes it was a pencil, he thought mentally rolling his eyes at her absurdity she managed to look pretty even in her messy state. Rolling the glass down she let the wind blow past her hair.

So, where to? he asked trying to initiate a conversation

let's head to The Spice Lounge... she said distracted searching something in her bag

That far? He asked trying to sound curious

ummhm... it would buy me more time with you she said looking up from her bag to smile at him.

It's your day love, whatever you say! he returned her smile and concentrated back on the road.

They met at one of the business parties of his father, while having a casual chat he realized she worked as a business associate in some designer firm. Frankly he wasn't interested to know where she worked and stuff anyway

She was stuck with him the entire time of the party and he realised that he for once was not bothered about the world around him, maybe because she didn't give him that breathing space to think about other things. She was a shameless flirt, charmed him to do things she wanted but he was okey with it as long as she was able to evade his paranormal thoughts without her knowledge he was safe.

Maan we should plan a holiday, I think it's a cool idea.

Just both of us away from work and other pressures... I think I need to relieve some stress her tone turned completely suggestive and he immediately know it was a onetime offer take it or leave it

That's a wonderful idea love, we'll definitely plan something he said agreeing to what ever she was saying as usual

Amazing love you so much!! she said beaming with a wide grin

Love you too sweetheart was his instant reaction, off course which man on the planet would pass on such an offer.

A month or two into their relationship after few casual dates here and there she casually ended her statement saying "love you" and he found it too easy to reciprocate it returning her statement. She didn't react like it was a big deal in fact gave him her usual smile, got off his bike pecking his cheek and left. And from then on it was just like that.

Driving for an hour, they discussed about the possible places they could go, the stay and some random things about the destinations. At times she was a good company to have random conversations with, he didn't even realise they reached until she giggled nudging him with her elbow

The restaurant was classy with the perfect ambiance to sooth ones mind. Walking in he inquired for a table and they were lead to more private side of the establishment. Owing to the working day the place wasn't that crowded except the one family and few couples here and there. Once they were seated she excused herself stating she wanted to look good for him on her date and left for the washroom

He wasn't bothered about the expenses at all. She was the one who was paying, as weird as it sounds she choose to pay for all our dinners, lunch, or breakfast dates. In short, she would be paying whenever, whatever and where ever they ate together! Be it road side street food or a highly expensive restaurant as this. And other than that, movies, shopping or anything else he would take care of it and she wouldn't bother about it.

It has been a while she left he thought taking a sip of water. The glass walls were close to his table, but they were little away when they were seated aren't they? Shrugging he looked ahead at the night ahead there was a pool on the other side of the restaurant which was empty except the bartender on the other side of the pool

He noticed some kind of fog forming on the pool. Gulping down the water he looked here and there to hide his unease when the whole place was engulfed with darkness. Slowly he could see the darkness taking shape of the dead and to his horror he could even recognise few of them. Using his old formula, he tried to block their existence from his view. But this time nothing seem to work! few of its heads turned towards him and swam towards him at once

ENOUGH!!

He heard the loud voice which gained his attention once again as usual and now there wasn't anything unusual around him anymore. Everything was the same as she left before except her eyes. They were spitting fire, furious, full of disbelief

How could you ignore me Maan, that to on our special day... I'm deeply hurt folding her hands at her chest she turned the other side

She was bluffing, he could feel it in his entire being. He wasn't stupid the spirits were gone noting her presence. They never reached him around her. If that wasn't enough the dark shadow of the ghostly beautiful women with slits across its body behind her who vanished just as she raised her head said it all.

His girlfriend was hiding something big in her closet and there was more than something he could possibly comprehend was happening around him

Exactly at that moment the whole glass walls clashed with tiny pieces piercing his skin bringing in the air around him to still, while his girlfriend turned towards him coolly reaching out towards his face and pulled out a piece of glass struck to his skin without flinching and said in a very low voice

I SAID... PAY ATTENTION TO ME !!
