Chapter 43 : The Beautiful Maiden!

Pulling both of them out from the flashback Maan was back to his proverbial sulking self, "Ye sab toh ek alag hi tangent pe hain...Par...You little devil... Khud upset hoti ho, kitna tang karti ho mujhe...Upar se kiya bulaya abhi mujhe?? Haan Dusht...Yeah right!!" Seeing Geet cutely shaking her head left and right Maan's voice got more assertive, "Dusht bhi kaha...Kaal na I have a long day...Phir sara din mujhe miss karte rehna... He blurted out in agitation as Geet peered at his long face which was looking into another direction with a pout adorning him!!
"Aap kaal bohot busy rehne wale ho?? Touching his shoulder lightly she asked Meekly!!
"Haan...Mujhe abhi se soch ke sirdard ho raha hain... He rotated his head back towards Geet and pursed his adorable lips while whining in his impressionable voice!!
As these two were deeply consumed by each others presence a grouchy Sameera needed to remind her repugnant presence to them so she said with an indigent vocal, "You know Maan...You should not take so much work pressure... And she was successful in having both of their attention diverted towards her as Geet uttered immediately catching the words from Sameera, "Wahi toh..." Her hands clapped in excitement,"Main inko samjhate samjhate thak gayi hoon... Her chatterbox ability enabled within a blink!!
"Sam tum dekhlo...Abhi umar hi kitni hain...1 saal bhi nahin huwa hain india wapas aaye huwe...Lekin nahin sara business abhi se expend karne ka bhoot sawar hain..." Maan saw his adorable wife's hand swung in the air upwards as she kept chattering, "Aur inn sab mamle mein haansna tak bhool gaye hain...Bilkul jab boards ke exams hotey thhey ya phir koi bhi exam hota tha na tab jaise inka para high pe rehta tha waise waley bann gaye hain...
Fark srif itna hain exams toh phir bhi ek mahiney baad khatam ho jati hain... Lekin ye inki meetings, projects, budget, management inn sabka chik chik toh aab roz ka hain... Delhi mein sabse mashoor toh Khurana constuctions hi hain naa?? Aab pata nahin kiya mars pluto jupiter mein bhi famous hona hain kiya..." Geet moved her hands at downwards now, deeply engrossed into her animated self, "Aur shayed ho bhi jaye...Par ye Khud ka khayal bhi nahin rakhte...Aur isi wajah se din din gussa bhi bhadta jaa raha hain...insaan hain machine nahin ke sara din raat yun kaam karte rahenge...Daadi maa toh aab thak gaai hain kehte kehte... Sameera and Maan both amusingly were rolling their eyeballs as an enliven Geet kept talking in one breath while vivifying herself with each sentence!!
"Ho gaya?? Aab main kuch bolu?? As Geet stopped for taking a breath Maan widened his dark browns and finally popped his lips to commence!!
"Nahin...Mujhe acche se pata hain aap kiya kahoge... She was instant!!
"Oh really?? Raising his eyebrows he said, sounding incredulous!!
"Aur nahin toh kiya...Aap kahoge aapko khud ki pehchan banani hain...Papa ji ka naam aur uncha kaarna hain... Agar abhi ek number pe hain KC toh iss position ko maintain bhi toh karke rakhna hain... Yehi bolenge naa?? Sameera saw Geet got more close to Maan as she was dancing her index finger while talking and Maan was gaping at her with a baffling expression!!
There is something profoundly inexplicable about the ways he looks at Geet!! Something which was devouring Sameera's soul by a scorching fire yet flavored with chilling coldness!! Similar to be eaten by some soul eater, gradually!!
"Geet tum naa...Paani peelo aabhi... Saans lelo... Baas dant ti rehti ho har waqt mujhe... Narrowing his eyes Maan gestured towards the water, "Aur kitni batuni ho yaar tum... My ears are feeling condolences for your mouth... Bolne ke ilawa you should use your lips into something progressive...You know... His last sentence had a little impishness playing around under the wraps!!
"What progressive?? Lips are for talking only.. Huh kiya Maan... Aap toh din din buddhu hotey jaa rahe ho... She replied innocently followed by drinking water from the bottle kept at the bedside!!
"Yeah right... That I will make you understand later... For now, use your 'divine' chatterbox mouth and finish eating... His satirical voice made Geet pout loudly as she scowled at him hastily!!
"Haww Maan... Trying so hard to divert Misha's topic?? Itni chidh?? Waise..." Pausing a little she glanced at Sameera with a mysterious grin, "Aapne na sach mein bohot bura kiya tha woh bechari Masoom si Misha ke sath...By god.. Ye baat sahi kaha unhone...hehehe... Geet's random statement amidst their fun filled conversation literally astounded Sameera with a great vigor as in Geet really seems to know a lot about Maan as an individual person!! And she tends to notice small things about him as well!! Does she know more than Sameera? The green monster took charge again!
"Waise Vishwamitra ji...Kiya sahi naam diya hain na Aayan aur Ranbir ne... Before Maan could move his lips to give an earful to a talkative Geet she continued in her whimsical demeanor, "So...Aapka dhyaan sach mein kyun bhang nahin ho raha?? Humein bhi toh bataiye... With a very innocent nonchalant face Geet asked Maan, teasing him is so much fun!
"Kiyahhh... Oh aap aab bhi shuru ho gayi madam?? Awww???" Hearing her giggle Maan glared at her displaying his fake anger but Geet is Geet so she was one step ahead, "Bohot hansi aa rahi hain?? Woh kiya hain ki naa...Menka ji bhao nahin de rahin hain mujhe..."
Her next statement was a shock for Maan and further confusion for Sameera, "Oho Menka ji...Kyun bhao nahin de rahe ho aap?? Did she just wink at Sameera asking such an unexpected question!!
Never in her dreams, Sameera imagined Geet to consider her as Menka... All this is so confusing! Here she thought to have reactions from Geet's side and that is the whole reason why she picked that certain topic of Australia but Geet seems to perceive everything in a positive manner! Even now she is teasing Maan with a delightful expression!!
"Baby..." That invocation thrown at Geet certainly stabbed Sameera like a dagger, "Tumhe nahin lagta tum galat title de rahi ho? Please use your brain..." The mysterious glint inside his eyes complemented his crooked lips, "Menka ji shayed koi aur ho? Tabhi shayed vishyamitra ki dhayan toot nahin raha... Maan's mischievous hint was received by Geet loud and clear yet she pretended to be deaf to all of it and continued her teasing sessions with the most innocent face ever, "Leooo...Aab toh ye thriller banta jaa raha hain... Fluttering her eyelashes she put her deep anticipation voice projecting the suspense!!
Glaring at Geet an embarrassed Maan heard the next atrocious words coming out of his little devilish wifey, "Lekin Maannhh...mujhe toh yehi Menka chahiye...Kyun Menka ji aapko koi aitraaz toh nahin... An astounded Sameera gawked at Geet with her slightly parted lips which due to the unanticipated shock but before she could say anything Maan's voice hindered her thought process!!
"Geet ji! Phir toh inka Vishyamitra koi aur hoga ji... Sameera blinked her eyes as she just received a loud wink from him thrown towards her, "Aur you little devil...Baato mein uljha ke jo tum ye sabzi na khane ki bahane dhoond rahi ho naa ye mujhe acche se samajh bhi aa raha hain...Dikh bhi raha hain...bachpan ki adat abhi ke abhi waisa hi intact hain..." Maan was back to his cribbing while Geet burst out in laughter, "Itna tang kyun karti ho mujhe?? Ja.. He was almost on the verge of calling her Jaan which he retracted swiftly, "Aahmmm..JAO...Now I am katti..."
"Yehi...Yehi expression dekhna tha mujhe aapki...Bada maza aata hain... As Geet was covering her mouth while giggling wholeheartedly followed by dancing her index finger playfully, a dumbfounded Sameera was still stuck at Maan's wink!!
He thinks all this as very funny, doesn't he?? And there, her heart is sinking down with his every intricate conduct!!
Denying her to be the Menka?? Really Maan!! Then who?? Geet!!??!!
Withering Sameera down he articulated again, "Kitni kharab ho na tum Geet...Mujhe pareshan karke tumhe maza aata hain...Ye dekho phir se baato mein uljha liya na tumne mujhe...Abhi ye skip kiya na main sidha Rano maa ko phone lagane wala hoon... Sameera smiled weakly hearing his tactics as he glanced at her for a brief moment. Having patience was on the next chart of her plans and so she did by muffling all her frustration deep inside!!
"Kiyaahhh...Hawww...Sidha mummy ke naam leke complaint...Kharab main hoon ke aap...Chalak businessman, har jagah bargaining...Aur kitna khau...Mera pet bhar gaya hain naaa...Please... Settling the tray aside Geet whined loudly.
"Koi bahana nahin...chalne wala... Said an adamant Maan in his strict deep voice, giving a stern glare.
"Maan Please...huhuhu...Please...Main baad mein khaungi veggies I promise... With her puppy eyes, Geet sniveled cutely, melting her loving hubby dearest promptly!!
"Emotional blackmail se kabhi toh baaz aa jao... Looking at the roof Maan tried to stop his melting heart as he would end up kissing her if she continues with her cute antics, "Accha theek hain... But Geet being Geet cutely pulled his sleeve a little kitten and he looked back at her, "Par pakka promise?? Trying to sound austere!
"Aapki kasam... Her lips were ready to give an instant answer!!
"Hmm...Aagle 24 ghantey meri zindegi phir toh aapki haat mein hain... Holding the food tray he dragged himself up from her bed and kept the tray at her study desk!
"MAAANNHH...Aisa maat kahiye na Maan...Main sach mein baad mein kha loongi... Geet said while taking a peek at Sameera who was engrossed in her phone, doing something!
"Dunia mein main kuch bhi kar loon magar aapki jhooti kasam kabhi nahin kha sakti jaantey hain aap...Theek hain abhi kha rahi hoon.. Said Geet, peering at Maan who was approaching back to the bed!!
"Pagli...I was joking...Chill...Have it when you want...Waise kaha thhey hum?? Haan...Australia... Taking the hot coffee cup they went back to gossiping as Maan was showing a few photos on his laptop which he captured to store the memories forever!
Though Sameera still tried her best to bring that topic of her confession but then seeing the light ambiance by Maan's smiling face and happiness she didn't have that heart to be so cruel. That hearty smile meant a lot to her.
The distinct light inside his beautiful big eyes which that serene smile was touching constantly became the reason of her heart getting soothed gradually!!
How can she be so brutal if he is in such a good mood also she caused him disappointment today still he is interacting generously so Sameera's courage faded away to talk anything bizarre out of the blue!
As she too knew his conducts, moods this much! The way he ended their last conversation this noon after her seduction stunt, it's more likely that he would not interact with her while alone!
But thanks to Geet he was at least happily conversing with her. And because she did love him hence that was pretty much enough for her. For now!
Even though seeing him with Geet made her heart bleed each second. But still!
When Maan is happy...She couldn't even find hatred for Geet at her heart. To her, Geet and her smile were even appearing to be pretty innocent at this point! Though the green monster was vividly reconstructing its attendance there still love does perish all! And love is the reason why envy is born after all!
All three of them heard a knock on the door and regarded Savitri entering with a warm smile, "Ohh toh baccho ki toli yaha pe lagi hain...
"Daadi maa aap... Geet immediately entered into her timid self feeling shy a bit as she was sitting very close to Maan!!
"Areh woh Geet betey aap phone kyun nahin utha rahi hain Rano ka phone aaya hain humein... Smiling at her Savitri informed!!
"Kiyaahhh...Oh haan... Sorry sorry mera phone toh silent pe hain... ye dekho... As Geet was searching for her phone under the pillow Savitri chuckled, "Hehe...Koi baat nahin betey abhi baat kar lijiye...Aur unhone humein bhi iss weekend pe bulaya hain...Ok betey... Hum chaltey hain...15 mins mein dinner laag jayega waise... Saying so the old lady left with a serene expression!!
"Matlab?? Maan asked with a confused expression while looking at his grandmother leaving!!
"Matlab baad mein samjhati hoon aapko...Pehle baat toh kar loon Saying so she dialed her mother's number and started talking while Maan was watching over her mystical behavior from the time Savitri mentioned about Rano!
Geet was finished with her talking and so was their coffee talk and Nakul came informing Maan and Sameera for dinner.
Hence gazing upon the clock Maan lifted his body up and bid good night to Geet while looking at Sameera, "Sam...Chalo...Aab hum chalte hain...Let her rest...We should sleep too...Kaal meri dopeher ko meeting hain...And you will have to be on the site... So...Aaj jaldi jaldi sona padega... Maan shifted his gaze towards Geet and put a warning tone, "Now madam you sleep...And listen if you need anything you know what to do...Aur agar mujhe baad mein pata chala na toh.. Tumhari khair nahin...Good night DOLL...! He placed a kiss on Geet's hand and escorted a shaken Sameera out of Geet's room!
Doll! This is the second time he referred Geet as doll. Sameera for the last time looked back at Geet to discern if she really looked like one!
To her utter shock, yes and no both! She has doll like innocent face! But Maan probably meant it for Geet's overall antics, isn't it! Gggrrr! Again the burning elevated!
"Maan... He knew she is going to call him from behind but he has to act calm.
