Geet's Freudian slip made Maan restless. According to him love doesn't exist apropos his past experiences in his life. Maan was in anger and the care and concern he showers towards his beloved ones were due his responsibilities not out of love. He assured geet that he will be with her during thin and thick times of their life but doesn't love her. Geet was happy that atleast she was part of his life and wanted to shower him with her love for him and she stated to Maan that she will not have any expectations in return from him.

Maan's mother indeed left a scar deep within him and now he believes love is not fo him

its obvious he loves both his dad and Yash its not just a responsibility and though he said

he'll be giving a chance to the marriage he does fulfill all his responsibilities but at the same time

he cares about both Geet and Kavya

maybe now he will reject the term love but he will eventually realize what love is
