V: DM , now Geet is fine nd I think she cn come out to do some work ,, she cn carry some responsibilities , Ku Geet ?

DM: hmm , u r right V , she really needs to keep her busy ,, she is educated nd cn handle some work .

V: Geet do u want to do some work ?

Geet beamed with hopes: yes , I really need that ,, plzz allow me nd trust me I won't do anything wrong .

DM: we hope so , that u won't break our trust .

V : Geet , I knew about u , nd cn give u some work in this Hsptl ,, nd in return I want a promise that u won't take any step without my knowledge .

Geet : I promise , i'll talk to all of u first,, I m very grateful to all of u ,, u help me a lot ,, I won't disappoint u .

DM awed : V u want to give her job in Hsptl ?

V: yes DM ,, there r few works which she cn do easily ,, there is no need of any spl education nd training ,, she cn handle store ,, there she had to maintain only records ,, i'll shift d guy who is working there at other place ,, there is not a big deal .

DM : Oh , u have already planned it ,, I was thinking to give all household responsibilities to Geet ,, humse ab etna bahar ka kaam nahi hota ,, Geet cd be a good help for me .

V smiled : U too wr thinking for Geet ,, now it's a tie ,, Geet what work do u want to do, Hsptl Or KM ?

Geet Passed a smile : thanku so much for this favour ,, i'll like to work in store but DM I'll help u too ,, u don't have to worry about KM work , i'll do whatever u'll say .

V smiled : see , how smart is she ? very smartly she took both d offer ,, what'll u do Geet if Bro too gives u an offer in KM ?

DM: there I have doubt V ,, that is a constr, Co nd u know Maan he is very particular nd follows rules ,, she cn't work in KC .

Geet : Doc trust me 1^st nd offer me , so i'll keep his respect , then DM really need help nd as u all said that she brought me here for her help so I won't disappoint her too ,, i'll work only for both of u ,, I wn't think for other work nd place ,, Thanku so much Doc nd DM .

DM: but how u'll handle both work ? Hsptl timing r long .

Geet : Doc ,will I get one day off or not ?

V: sure , u'll get Sunday ,, ur duty will be in shift , there r 2 more ,, u all 3 will work in diff shifts .

Geet : then , there is no prob for me ,, DM i'll handle it, give me a chance .

DM: OK , rest we'll talk at home when all will present ,, V , now we leave for KM beta .

V: OK DM , I m calling driver ,, he'll drop u home nd came back .

DM nd Geet came back home nd V stayed back in hsptl ,, he called his HR mngr nd supply Encharge to talk .

Vicky's those words worked like a balm on Geet's internal wounds ,, she felt a ray of hope to survive of her own ,, she didn't want to live a burdened life depend on other ,, d favour nd help which Khurana did was too much to pay back ,, now she cd find her lost roots ,, though her loss was big nd cdn't be recovered but she always had a spark in her to struggle for her life ,, many times she felt defeated nd depressed but that lil spark nd urge gave her a positive strike to live .

After coming back from Hsptl Geet took her parents photo in her hands , lovingly caressed that with moist eyes .

Geet : Dad ,Mom I think u r still with me nd holding me not to scatter completely ,, u both always taught me to struggle till our last breath ,, I have nothing with me except ur blessings ,, plzz be with ur Geet ,, Mom today I feel that I m going to live ur life ,, in this age u too struggle for ur life nd now I m doing d same ,, Dad ur all req nd pleading went in vain , ur greedy family cheated me , abused ur blood nd insulted me nd my mom ,, onward I'll never use Handa name with me ,, for me only ur nd mom's name is my identity ,, I m sorry I cn't fulfill ur dreams but i'll try my best to make a respectable name ,, plzz be with me nd bless me .

She wipe her eyes nd kept d photo frame on chest ,, hung Babaji's photo on wall nd prayed though her faith in God nd ppl shook but as her Mom taught her that take good time as Babaji's blessings nd bad time as his testing but never forget to pray boz prayers gives us power to struggle , so to obey her Mom she always prayed nd complain to Babaji ,, that pic of Baba Nanak Dev Ji's came to her from her Mom ,, her mom always kept that photo nd insisted her too to treasure that Babaji nd her Parents pic , why only those 2 pics she didn't know that ?

That day Geet came out from her room nd helped in household work along with Nakul nd other servants ,, they wr happy to see her nd one of them said that seeing her in that serious condition they wr very scared nd prayed for her ,, Geet thanked them for their well wishes ,, she didn't talk much about that incident nd kept her busy in work .,, DM was relieved seeing her normal behavior , but somewhere deep in her heart she was restless.

At night all Khuranas met at dining table ,, Geet was serving nd bringing dishes from kitchen ,, V gave a bright smile to her nd asked about her day bur Maan only gave a through glance to her ,, he noticed that her bandage had removed nd there was only ointment at her wound ,, she was looking better ,, DM told Geet to join them in dinner but Geet excused ,, V got angry , he got up nd dragged her with him ,, made her sit in chair next to him nd ordered.

V: u cn help in work but now on wards u'll take meals with us , clear .

Geet hesitated : but Doc ,,,,

V: bas , bol diya ,, i valued ur wish now u have to value our wish .

Geet looked at all nervously but DM smiled nd nodded her head supporting V's words ,, Maan was quietly looking at them spl at V nd Geet .

They started their dinner ,, Geet was eating slowly with lower head whereas DM , V nd Maan wr talking on randomly ,, lastly after dinner DM disclosed infront of Maan that V had offered a job for Geet in his Hsptl ,, Maan's expressions changed at once nd he looked at V curiously ,, V passed a smile nd then looked at Geet .

Maan coldly: what she cn do there ?

His cold words hit Geet ,, her face fall nd she looked at him hurt ,, V too didn't like Maan's response .

V: she cn work in store ,, that work doesn't need any spl skill nd to maintain d records she is quiet educated nd intelligent ,, I know about her well so there is no need of other formalities which we ask from others ,, I directly appointed her nd she was answerable to me not to anyone .

Maan felt a restlessness nd he didn't like V's idea that was visible through his eyes ,, he looked at DM for her response .

Maan : r u OK with this ? U want to send her out for work ?

DM: I expressed my wish to give all housekeeping responsibilities of KM to Geet , but V proposed 1^st nd Geet accept that .

V: she is willing to help u DM ,, i'll keep ur need at 1^st place ,, Geet cn u manage both , u cn choose any one , there is no pressure from my side .

Geet gulped her saliva nd replied with lower eyes : as I said before ,, I m grateful to u Doc , respecting ur trust in me I choose to work in hsptl nd I m sure I cn help DM too ,, KM work is not a full day consuming work ,, I cn look after that after my hsptl hrs.

DM : as u wish ,, we don't want to pressurize u ,, it's all to help u.

Maan : but she don't know nothing about this city ,, how cn u send her out alone DM ?

V gave a thoughtful look to Maan : for some days she cn go with me , when she'll become aware nd confident then she cn go alone ,, how long u want to confine her inside d KM walls .

Maan : she has faced a memo disorder , as a Dr how cn u allow her to go alone ,, it cn be risky .

Maan looked at DM to say something ,, DM witnessed his restlessness ,, something was bothering him.

DM: V , Maan is right at his place , why so hurry to send her out .

V: DM ,, KM , our Hsptl Or KC ,, all r our places ,, she is not going to any unknown place ,, I m there ,, few knew nd rest staff'll slowly know about her ,, there wr Drs nd nurses who treated her ,, Dr Pari is also there , she knows about Geet ,, U both don't worry , she won't feel alone there ,, ( to geet ) r u comfortable to join that place Geet ?

Geet gave a week smile nd nodded in yes : now or after few days , I have to earn for myself ,, I have to stand on my feet ,, U r right , How long I cn live like a burden on this family ? This is my struggle to survive in this world ,, I m very much thankful nd grateful that u all r helping me.

Maan gave a sharp look to her nd then got up to go : OK DM , then do whatever u all decided .

He left from there ,, DM lost in her thoughts nd V passed a smile to Geet nd gave a thumbs up .

V: I m sure u'll do good nd won't disappoint us .

Geet : I promise , nd Thanks a lot again.

She got up nd started securing d table ,, went in kitchen to help in work nd DM nd V left from their respective rooms ,, after few min DM went in Maan's study ,, he started seeing her .

Maan : DM , u here , why didn't u call me in ur room ?

DM smiled : I m not that much weak ,, I want to talk u in pvt , so came here ,, if u r not so busy cn we talk ?

Maan : any time DM , for u I m always free.

DM smiled : lair .

Maan got up nd both settled in settee ,, DM looked at Maan's face sadly nd placed her hand on his .

DM : why r u restless Maan , what is bothering u ?

Maan startled : restless , me , no DM , I m fine .

DM : I m ur DM ,, samjhe ,, in a blink I cn sense my children's behavior ,, so don't hide from me .

Maan : what r u talking DM ? I m not hiding anything .

DM: why don't u want to send Geet out for work ? Don't u trust her ?

Maan looked at DM deeply nd sighed : yes u r right here ,, I cn't trust her ,, we don't know what is running in her mind now?

DM: but we cn't cage her ,, we cn't force her bcoz now situation is diff ,, what is bothering u , her security or she cn leave us ?

Maan : honestly speaking , if in gush of emotions she took any wrong step that cn create prob for her nd as well as for us too ,, seeing her all alone anyone cn mistreat her nd when Handas will get this fact they cn create prob for us ,, she was better earlier , living quietly in a corner .

DM: hmmm , that time she never demanded even bagged not to send her HP ,, Brij Handa threatened her not to enter in HP again .

Maan : that is why I threatened her to send her back , but when she'll start going out independently it cn be alarming for us .

DM: but she is depend on us .

Maan : how long ? after getting money in hand , she cn changer her color , don't trust her blindly.

DM: means she cn leave us ?

Maan : hmmm .

DM : but how we cn stop her , even V too is supporting her .

Maan : I m seeing that ,, he is very simple hearted person nd has sympathy ,, better he think about outcomes .

DM: why don't u talk to V ?

Maan : I tried but u saw.

DM: do u have any other solution to stop her ?

Maan: i'll think about it .

DM: hmmm , what will u do if she got about that marriage ?

Maan : we'll tell her d whole truth nd send her back HP if she won't trust us ,, there Handas nd villagers will make her understand well ,, I m not worry about that.

DM: u won't accept d marriage ?

Maan : everything is ruined DM ,, stop thinking about it .

DM sighed sadly : I m sorry to put u in this mess .

Maan : DM , plzz don't blame urself ,, jo hona tha wo ho gaya,, it's good for all if she forgot that .

DM: but those Handas became free nd we r bearing d pain of their deeds ,, don't know when we get a breath of relief nd happiness in our life .

Maan smiled sadly : don't think much , otherwise u'll put me nd V in other prob , come , have ur meds nd sleep .

He held DM's hand nd both came in her room ,, he gave her meds nd wished GN ,, he came back in his study but his convo with DM distract him ,, he thought that what made him restless ? Did it really bother him that Geet cn leave KM ? Why he was not trusting her nd why d hell he was thinking about her ? wo jati hei to jaye .. their one daughter had run away then other cd follow her sis ,, he didn't scare of Handas ,, why he didn't like her working in Hsptl , though there was no fear ?

Maan (ST) : Maan get hold on u , stop thinking about her ,, it's good for u that she forgot everything about that marriage ,, we both r free ,, let her do what she want nd u too live ur life ,, she is fine now nd thinking to move in her life ,, stop thinking about her , she only reminds u that insult ,, avoid her like u did earlier ,, hmmm , she is nothing to me ,, Handas used her to cover d damage .

Maan assured his mind nd heart ,, nodded his head taking a long breath to live his life on old track ,, gulped a glass of water nd got busy in his blue prints ,, his work always played a good role to keep him away from all these useless things .
