Chapter 3
Khurana Mansion, Delhi.
As dadima sat down in well manicured gardens of KM, she wondered if Geet n Vicky would understand her concerns. Bt she still decided to hmgive it a try.
A few mins later Vicky m Geet settled themselves on either sides of her. Dadima sighed, nt knowing from where to start. Finally, she started with a low voice: Geet Vicky, I need ur help. Geet: Kya Bat hai dadima? Aap bohat tense Ho? What is it about? Geet enquired. Dadima: Ur parents! N Vicky knew where it was heading! He has heard dadima talking to dad asking him to spend more time with his family, the day before he left. He even noticed mom-dad and ma-papa differences. He knew these things affected dadima!
Going on his knees, he sat near dadima's feet. Vicky : Plz give them some time dadima. They would come along. Things would eventually fall right. Dadima: No Vicky,I cant b anymore patient.
Geet: Dadima is right Vicky. We need to do something. Vicky: And what do u suggest to do?
Geet: I cabt think of anything right now. Do a thing, tomorrow we have an off. So lets plan something. N waise bhi dadima u need to rest. Kal subha we would discuss possibilities of what we could do. Dadima was now assured. She knew they would come up with something.
Next morning it was only Geet, Vicky and dadima were present fr brunch. After finishing they settled themselves in dadima's room to continue their discussion.
Vicky: Dadima, I think we could send them fr a holiday. U kno change of atmosphere would bring them closer.
Geet: Dnt b stupid Vicks. They would easily deny this offer of urs. N even if they go, we wont kno if things changed.
Dadima: Geet is right. We need to kno their progress. And the discussion went on!
After half an hour, they couldn't come up with anything. It was then a few mins later nakul entered d room, informing about Mr. Desai's arival.
Mr. Desai's was one of d most loyal and old employees of Khurana's.
As d three of them made their way towards the hall, they found Mr. Desai's sitting with a big smile on his face. He bent to take dadima's blessings.
Dadima: Ram, what happened? U here? Aj Sunday hai, r u working today? Has raj given u some work? Dadima asked frowning.
Mr. Desai smiled at her series of questions. She was d lady whome he respected nxt to his mother. Mr. Desai: Actually, there's a good news. He replied smilingly.
Vicky: Good news? What is it?
Mr Desai: Vicky u remember the new holiday resort we r starting?
Geet: Yes uncle, the one on Khurana private island, right? Paradise?
Mr Desai: Yes Geet, the architect called this morning. He said that the works r complete. Even the water sports we wanted their r already fixed. The PARADISE is complete. He finished with a smile. The news was indeed a good one that bought smiles on everyone's faces standing there. Vicky n Geet hugged each other while dadima took a min in thanking the almighty.
Dadima: That's a wonderful news. All of u have worked very hard to achieve it. Lets inform Raj. N she walked towards d phn in d hallroom.
Geet: No dadima, wait. Uncle have u told anyone? I mean in office, does anyone knows abt it? Mr Desai: No Geet, as I was d in charge for the project I was directly informed by the coordinators. I haven't even informed Raj. Geet: Uncle, I request you plz dnt dnt inform anyone about it. To which he noded. Dadima n Vicky looked at each other. Vicky: Geet, ye to achi news hai. Isme chupane wali konsi bat hai? Geet: Vicky, dadima I gotta a plan! She said with a smirk! Her statement got instant reaction of huge grins from Geet n dadima and a confused look from Mr Desai.
Geet: So d plan is..
3 days later
Vicky was in KC when he suddenly got a call from home, picking up a worked Naina informed him about dadima's sickness and he rushed home.
As he reached dadima's room, he found her laying on her bed with Geet sitting nxt to her n doc on other side. Elders were standing near her legs.
As the family doc was done inspecting her, he walked out.
Doc: Raj, maa is very stressed. Her bp level is fluctuating continuously. She needs to b happy.
Raj: I dnt kno what to do, I came bak yesterday morning bt nt once she talked to me! Not just that, they b4 yesterday Naina returned n she haven't even talked to her. Mohinder: Same is with rano n me. I wonder what made her so angry. He said with a sad face! Doc: Plz try to talk her, she needs to b happy! Sirf medicine cant make one hail n health. Plz try hard. N he left.
As raj sat nxt to his mother, she turned her face to other side. Dadima: U all can leave. I wanna b alone. She said closing her eyes. As everyone exited, Geet n Vicky winked at each other n dadima smirked. Whereas the elders went out with gloomy faces.
Dinner time
Rano n Naina decided to prepare dadima's fav dishes in order to nake her happy. As everyone settled down they waited fr SD. As she didn't came, raj walked into her room n she simply asked them to send her dinner in her room. Even though he tried to convince her, she listened to none!
It has been 2 days doc was regularly coming to KM to chek SD. Her health showed no improvement, as d doc said n she was still aloof. Kulbhushan, mohinder's younger brother was even bak as he was informed about SD's declining health. And even he couldn't convince her.
Finally, elders pestered Geet to talk to her. It was around an hour Geet walked out of SD room.
Raj: Geet, what has happened? Bete,did she told u anything? Is she worried about something? He asked panicking losing his calmness. To which Geet mildly noded.
Geet: She said she wants her family back. And d silence followed!
Everyone present in d the room knew what it actually meant.
After half an hour, mohinder called everyone in hall room except dadima. As they settled, he declared: We r gng on a trip! Naina: Trip? What? N unknown to everyone geet winked at Vicky!
Raj: What trip r u talking Mohinder?
MH: Its the only way to get back maa back to normal. Naina: I think bhaisaab is right. So where do u think we should go? Rano: Maybe our farmhouse. MH: That would b perfect. We could handle our works online. Raj: That's perfect! Vicky's n Geet's mouth formed an O. Without anyone noticing, Geet walked to aside in a corner txting dadima. But Geet was unknown to the fact that a pair of eyes has seen her n Vicky's talking through eyes.
As Geet was about to txt dadima, some1 took cought d phn out of her hold n she was shocked to see d person. It was Kulbhushan(KB). Raising an eyebrow at her, to which Geet smiled sheepishly. He simply dragged Geet to another room n Geet decided to tell him everything! She knew he wont deny to help. As KB stood facing d door he found Vicky peeping in. Glaring, he asked Vicky to come in. N Vicky told him d entire plan. Hearing it, KB was shocked! He never thought his mischievous devils would do something so mature, even through a wrong way bt he knew there was ni other way! Finally after a bit of convincing he finally agreed. As KB was about to say something, they heard commotion from outside.
What they saw outside shocked them beyond limits. There Maan Singh Khurana was standing up at d door of d mansion hugging his mother.
A few mins earlier
As finally elders decided to go to the farmhouse, they settled down talking of arrangements when nakul informed about Maan's arrival. The men were pleasantly surprised but it seemed rano n Naina were aware of his arrival.
It was d day Naina n Rano came back from Jaipur, they noticed dadima's reserved behaviour towards them as well as towards raj n MH. N when dadima' health was detoriating, rano insisted Naina to call Maan back asap. Knowing about dadima's health, Maan boarded the private Khurana jet from London without any second thought. He love his families to bits. Wanting to keep it a surprise fr dadima he asked his mum to keep it a secret.
N there Maan Singh Khurana was back to his family!
