Its been many days since maan is searching for a job but in vain ..even she has been but nothing constructive happened ...the project maan was working on even that hasn't gotten any investor ..the last time there was a chance was from Mr. Murti who approved it but then he also put that hold for the approval of his board and investor and now even he is silent ..maan always puts a happy face in fron to fher but she knows he is loosing his hopes ..she had saved a good amount from maan's salary in his own account while he was at job but even that would end some day ..she hasn't even checked with the account how much is it left.. till this time the previous months grocery was in place and the amount they received in the chawl reception as they barely spent a dime extra..while opening the door to his house she made a mental note of asking maan to check his account balance but then rejected the idea fearing if the amount would be less it would only give him more tension She stood infront of the small idol of god

She settled the grocery in the kitchen and began her cooking and just as the cooker went blaring indicating to turn the gas off geet heard maan shouting her name ..worried she went outside ..and he entered the house opening the door and taking her into her arm spinning her around in glee ..
Ahh ...maan what are you doing ...(she laughed seeing his infectious smile) ..

Well shuro se yeh ..ke I went for the interview as usual they told me they'll let me know ..mien second interview ke liye jaraha tha I got a call from an unknown number ..it was Mr. Murti he told me ke unhoon ne kuch time pehle b call kiya tha but mera number off tha and he wanted to meet me today ..so after the interview I went to meet him ..there he told me that he is wanting to build that Hotel project of mine in the outskits of Chinnai ..but for that I will have to present the project in front of the investors and the board if they approve than we'll proceed ...
Oh my god maan this is huge ...this is really huge ...(and she hugged him in delight) ..i am so so so happy ...
Maan hugged her back equally happy ..after so many days this was the first good news he didn't knew until when the money they had at home would last the call really gave a hope ..geet parted and asked while catching her breath ...

It was late night maan was still working on his presentation when geet walked out of kitchen with dinner plate in her hand and saw him completely emerged in his work. She stood by the small table they dine on for almost 10 minutes but her dear hubby was so busy looking into his screen that he didn't even noticed her. She smiled wondering a few months back this guy was only concerned about his clubbing and parties and here he sits oblivious to the whole world working rigorously she shot a quick prayer to make his presentation successful and then took his plate and walked upto him in a hope that he would eat something.
Geet: Maan ..
Maan: han geet ..(still reading something in laptop)
Geet: khana ...?
Maan: han bas 10 min geet ...budgeting finish hujaye na tu ...
She rolled her eyes and glared at him which had no effect on him and then finally sat by his side and closed his laptop ...

they spent the next few hours on completing the remaining details of the project ..geet was indeed a great help and of course she made sure maan was relaxed as he would definitely think and do better than. By the time it was mid night the presentation and project file both were completed but sleep was no where near to maan ...nor geet for that matter. He was so anxious this was probably his final chance at proving himself.
He was standing by the window overseeing the pitch black sky ...wondering what will happen next when geet came from behind and embraced him ...he held on to her tight gaining strength from his life partner ...while she spoke softly ...
Stop thinking so much ...aur sochna hi hai tu acha socho ...yeh socho k kal jab project approve huga tu hum party kahan karenge .. Amy aur Ridz ko bhi nahi pata so kal unko batayenge tu wohh kitna khush hunge ..

She walked out and saw the kids running down for school and asked a few ladies if they saw maan and they told him he was upstairs wondering what he was doing there she went there only to see him on video chat with a lady .. she stopped at the entrance of the roof listening to him and aniee talk...
Aniee: bhai aap kahan ghayab hujaate ho ..kitne messages kiye aapko mene ...aur aaj reply kar rahe ho aap ..

But she went ahead and walked inside dadi maa's room ...just as she turned the camera towards her maan stopped talking ..it was good 2 months since he saw her ...he was so overwhelmed seeing her deep in slumber ..he caressed the screen as if he could touch her ...and she turned in her sleep and aniee moved out of her room only to enter yash' ...maan saw his father and remembered their last meeting ...that look of disappointment on his face ..he could see the wrinkles on his fathers' face that weren't there 2 months back ...they use to be best friends and today he can't even explain him how things turned so disastrous. There wasn't a day when he didn't talked with them and now its been good 2 months since they spoke ...maan couldn't hold his tears anymore and so he disconnected the call not wanting aniee to question him.
Dropping the phone by his side he hid his face beneath his palms and tears spilled from his eyes. That's when geet came and knelt infront of him taking his hands off of his face and wiping away his tears with tears shimmering in her own eyes she smiled with a broken heart and shook her head in denial ...while he took a deep breath holding her hand firmly seeking the strength from her to stop himself from breaking down ...he placed a kiss on her hands now holding his and sat straight exhaling ...

They both had that fake teary smile and mist eyes looking at each other trying to over come the overwhelming feeling ...

Maan stood outside Mr. Murti's office ..it wasn't an extravagant building but non the less a 3 story building housing the company's main office. He was nervous and there was no denial to that yet he was determined to win this, he had no other options he had to. Taking a deep breath he closed his eyes only to see his dadi's smiling face, geet's words before parting the trust she had in him and then his father... his face with that slight smile and hands placed in his pockets ...and those words he always use to say to him
