Geet's past memo ...

She looked around , none was there then she started recalling when she was in sense last ,, her eyes widened in shock nd breaths turned uneven remembering what had happened with her ,, she lost her sanity ,, those beast snatched her precious gem of purity ,, they ruined her body nd soul ,, scattered her life forever ,, her whole body shuddered nd she felt disgusted remembering that how ppl nd her family members found her in torn condition in field ,, she felt suffocated , ruined nd disgusted,, hate herself nd that dirty body touched by those beasts ,, her mind lost her balance , in a go she sat in bed , snatched out d drip from her hand , saw all around nd find a glass on side table ,, she at once took that , hit with d corner of table to break that nd slit her wrist in a blink with that sharp broken glass piece,, she didn't winch nd feel pain bcoz she became numb losing everything of her life .. her serenity , respect nd d wish to lift her eyes , even she cdn't face herself too ,, nothing left to live with respect for her nd her family , so finishing that disgusted life was d only way for her ,, blood oozing out from her wrist profusely nd she was staring at that still .

Rano nd mahinder rushed in hearing d sound of breaking glass ,, rano was shocked seeing d blood dripping over geet ,, Mahi shouted for nurse nd held geet's hand nd pressed d cut ,, but Geet became furious nd started struggling to make her hand free ,, Rano tried to hold her from her shoulder but Geet got d panic attack nd started shouting madly ... leave me ,, let me go ,, don't do this ,, don't ruin me ,, leave me ,, leave me ...

Nurses run to her but geet turned violent nd pushing back all throwing her hands nd legs frantically ,, a nurse run out to call Dr , Mahi was holding her hand tightly pressing her wrist to stop blood flow ,, rano was shedding tears holding her from shoulders nd Nurse was holding her legs tightly , but Geet was shouting nd ranting same words again nd again in her madness ,, Dr rushed in with nurse nd gave a shot in arm , then started giving next ordere to treat her slit wrist ,, all wr tensed ,, in few sec Geet became unconscious again nd nurses with attendant put her on stretcher nd wheeled her in OT to stitch her cut wrist ,, Drs treated nd kept her in pvt ward in keen observation ,, now there was one more risk ,, she was in trauma nd cd harm herself .

Next day too when she came in sense , nd Rano tried to talk her , she became furious nd started shouting why they saved her ... i want to die ... i don't want to live ,, let me die ,,, let me die ,, leave me alone ,, go away ...

Again she tried to pull her drip nd to open her bandage ,, pushed back Rano away from her ,, hearing d voices Dr nd nurses rushed in nd again gave her shot to calm her ,, after that they keep her sleeping conti for 3 days , but situation becoming hard for all ,, drs cdn't keep her sleep or unconscious for long ,, she was unaware what was happening outside ,, she was breathing physically , but her soul was dead .

It was 4^th day when when drs tried to keep her in sense nd tried to talk with d help of Psychiatrist ,, so that she cd listen nd talk to Dr nd parents , but d result was scaring more ,, she 1^st became furious nd shouted again to live her alone , let her die ,, searched something to harm her ,, tried to pull her drip nd when she didn't listen , drs shouted at her ,, Geet became quiet nd started cuddling herself , covering herself with sheet , even hide her face too in her knees ,, she was not looking at them nd her body was trembling like a dry leaf ,, Rano nd Mahi's heart cried nd tears rolled down from their eyes ,, Dr sent them out nd started discussing in med terms with each others ,, d psy*** sat near Geet nd trying her best to make her understand nd to respond them , but Geet didn't raise her head ,, helplessly they left her giving her a shot again to keep her nd her mind calm.

It was 5^th day nd she was in drowsy state Or in half sense when she heard some voices around her ,, her maa called her name to wake her ,, she slowly opened her drowsy eyes nd saw few new faces around her , ,, her one hand was still had drip nd other was in rano's hand ,, she closed her eyes again lost in her dark ,, but she felt some touches over face nd neck ,, it made her frantic again nd she started mumbling .. leave me ... leave me ,, don't do this ... ... in her half sense throwing her hands nd legs,, Rano nd her Taiji shouted at her nd she became quiet nd cuddled in a ball nd started trembling .

2 more days passed ,, Dr nd psy ***** wr trying their best to heal her wounded heart , body nd soul along encouraging her to come out from her dark shell of depression ,, when she became violent they scolded her which made her silent , but she tried herself to hide herself ,, this was d worst part of her condition ,, she was not ready to face anyone nd always kept her eyes closed , lower or most of d time hide her face in her knees or covered with sheet .

In those days Geet didn't know what had happened outside or with her ,, physically she was fine , but mentally she was sick , nd on high risk of life ,, now her family started saying to take her back to home ,, her ma and taiji talked to her for long saying that everything was fine nd settled ,, she was going to get her respectful place in d family ,, all loved her nd her future was secure ,, she don't have to worry for anything ,, they wr ready to accept her with all respect .

Geet looked at them confused nd her Ma and taiji smiled ,, caressed her head lovingly ,, her taiji held her hand nd gave her d most shocking news saying that she is married now ,, d guy filled her partition nd tied d mangalsutra in her neck in presence of both d family nd sarpanch of both d village ,, they promised in front of ppl that they wd give her respect nd all rights as their DIL ,, she didn't have to worry now for her ,nd think to start a new life with respect ,, she froze at her place listening that she was married with d guy who ruined her ,, nothing was going in her numb brain nd she was only staring at her ma and taiji ,, d rest of drama was more torturous for her ,,her maa folded her hands in front of her nd started crying to stop her madness ,, if she took some deadly step then Brij deffo killed d guy nd that became more awful for d family ,, taiji pointed at her that it was her mistake to take her younger sis in fields like that nd then put her nd rajji's lfe in danger ,, now she was creating trouble for brij nd for all family ,, if he killed d guy then police wd arrest him nd both d family cd ruin forever ,, why she was not understanding her family's happiness nd well-being ,, Rano was shedding tears holding her in arms nd Taiji was speaking.

After that her papaji, darji , nd tayaji came ,, their face was hung but Darji gave her an angry glare nd gave his verdict ,, his words still echoing in her ears ...

She had lost everything even her right to live OR die ,, she became a rage doll , helpless nd only to obey her elders's orders ,, they put d blame on her head nd now d responsibility to keep d respect of family ,, her wounded soul cried loud inwardly ,, there was no way for her except saying yes to her elders thinking that she had lost everything then why to make other's life miserable bcoz of her ,, geet nodded in yes with lower head nd eyes ,, she was sitting cuddling herself covered with sheet ,, hardly her face was visible ,, all went back lil relieved,, d situation turned lil bearable ,, d lose was big for both d families nd that tie of relation with rival families was like gulping d poison ,, mainly for d poor girl who was suffering from all sides .

Next mrning Geet was sitting in her hsptl bed blankly looking in front of her ,, her eyes turned dry nd hollow ,, tears dried ,, her elders words wr running in her mind who put d blame on her ruining everything ,, didn't know what had happened in d outer world , nd how they tied her with that guy .. d destroyer of her life ,, now they wr warning her to obey them nd to accept this relation ,, how many deaths she had to bear ?

Rano entered with a nurse holding a bag in her hands , caressed her head sadly , nd said .

Rano: Geet u r getting discharge from hsptl nd going home , this is ur dress , change it , get up i'll help u

Nurse checked her bp nd pulse which was lil high but controlled ,, she gave her a shot , then changed her wrist bandage ,d wound was almost cured , but need to be careful .

Nurse: be careful nd don't wet it for next 2 days , then come again to remove d stitches , OK.

D nurse went nd Rano told her to come in WR to change d dress ,, Geet silently obeyed her , went with her in wr nd rano handed her d clothes , she turned her face while changing , but she had to present with her bcoz she didn't trust her ,, she feared that in her madness Geet cd take any disastrous step again ,, while changing d cloths geet was fighting with her thoughts ,, she was feeling that her head was becoming very heavy nd blank ,, after changing d clothes ,, Rano combed her hair nd tied them ,, cleaned her face ,, Rano was relieved that now those marks wr healed nd vanished ,, in between all d family elders came in ,, Mahi handed d meds pack to Rano nd told her how to take them ,, geet was sitting on d edge of bed keeping her back towards all ,, her head wad down nd she wrapped her dupatta tightly around her to hide herself ,, she started trembling again in d presence of ppl nd felt disgusted thinking that how ppl nd family members saw her in that state ,, she wished that this earth immersed her in it .

Then she heard Darji's rough voice again nd felt a shiver ,,her jaws wr tight nd she was trying her hard to control her .

Darji: Geet tujhe jo kaha tha wo yaad hei na ? tumhe hamara ye faisla manna hi hoga , nahi to koi bhi kadam uthane se pahale hum sab ko maar dalna aur fir jo chahe karna .

Taiji: nahi darji , geet aapki baat manegi ,, wo apne pariwaar ko aur be-izzat nahi hone degi ,, hain an Geet ,, geet puttar ess ghar ki baki bachi khushiyan aur izzat ab tere hath hei esse rakh ya barbaad ker ye tum per hei .

Brij: ek baat yaad rakhna ladki , tere liye bahot kuch saha hei humne , badi mushkil se baat sambhali hei be-izzati ka zahar pee kar , ab kuch galat na ho ye dhayaan rahe , warna ab lashen bicha dunga .

Geet trembled listening Brij's threatening words ,, Rano caressed her back nd Taiji kept her hand on her head ,, Darji gestured at Mahi nd Brij then all went out ,, Rano nd Mahi left with Geet .

They all reached in Gurudwara where they fe ppl wr waiting for them ,, entered in Darbaar Sahib nd d Bhaiji started chanting gurbaani ,, Rano made geet sit nd then sat besides her ,, there was a storm in her mind nd heart ,, she was feeling suffocated nd chocked ,, her mind was thinking that what had happened when she was in hsptl ? why her family nd elders decided to tie her with her destroyer nd their rival ? how she wd face this criminal ? How she wd live in that house who wr their rival till now nd hate each other ? Geet came in sense ,, Rano was shaking her nd saying to stand up for pheras ,, Mahi tied d knot of geet's dupatta's corner with d guys patka nd few ppl started escorted her walk behind d guy ,, they wr helping her to walk ,, in few min d pheras completed ,, clergyman declaired them husband nd wife nd all blessed them ,, there was silence all around ,, then all started moving out nd Rano Mahi nd Taiji brought her out ,, they hugged her nd made her sit in a car ,, Geet silently sat with lower head ,, her face was half covered with veil ,, after few sec few more ppl sat in car nd they drove off ,, again after a short drive car stopped nd a lady came to told her to come out ,, then she realised that she had reached in diff home Or d Hell for her .

D lady took her in side nd then in a room ,, she brought her near a bed nd both stood .

Lady: bauji everything went well , she is ...

Bauji : hhmmm ,, beta we r very sorry nd ashmed for everything ,, we too r helpless like u nd ur family ,, we cn understand ur pain , nd we r with u ,, God bless u ,, Tanvi beta take her in room for rest nd look after her .

D lady went out ,, Geet didn't know who wr they but guessed that both r Khuranas family members ,, she sat there silently on d edge of bed a maid come with some eatable in a tray , scaned her from top to toe nd then told her to eat ,, Geet didn't move nd slowly told her to leave her alone nd close d door ,, d maid kept d tray on side table nd left closing d door ,, Geet wrapped her dupatta around her nd lay down cuddling herself ,, she was feeling very weak nd drowsy ,, she felt that her whole was empty nd not able to hold her ,, soon she doze off coz of weakness nd tiredness ,, she woke up after frw hrs when d same lady ..Tanvi came to wake her up ,, forced her to eat something nd then gave her meds ,, she kept d meds pack on side tables ,, then went back ,, there was no talk between them ,, Geet didn't lift her veil nd silently followed what Tanvi said to her .

Geet remained in her bed nd in d eve an old lady came to meet her ,, she kept only her trembling hand on her head to bless her saying in broken voice ... hum ess sab se bahot dukhi hein ,, jo hua bahot galat hua ,, ek aurat hone ke nate hum tumhara dukh samajh sakty hein ,, Babaji sabko himmat de ye dukh sahane ki .

Then she sighed nd left slowly ,, Geet didn't know who was she ? there was a scaring silence in d house ,, all wr hiding their faces lost in shame nd pain ,, at night a maid came with a mobile phone nd told her that it was from her home ,, Geet took that nd heard her ma's voice from other side ,, who asked about her well-being , food nd meds ,, reminded her keep calm nd assured her that they'll call her next day for pegphera ,, Geet's heart beats raised nd panicked to face d outer world nd ppl again ,, she didn't want to go out from that room ,, didn't want to face nd talk to anyone ,, she wanted to remain in d same dark room .

Geet slowly : i don't want to go anywhere , i did what u all said nd decided , let me remain there where i m .

Rano sadly : it's a ritual to follow , what'll d society say ? we have to .
