Location: ROYAL PALACE, VALLABHGARH
It was few days before Maan and Geet's marriage, Geet had slept peacefully last night without waking up even once in the night as children were getting older and were able to sleep the whole night through. She was having her masala tea while enjoying the morning newspaper when couple of photographs on Page 3 caught her attention. By now slowly the Royal family had trickled in the dining room for their breakfast. There were usually jokes and laughter happening on the dining table, when suddenly everyone's laughter was stopped by breaking of a tea cup and falling of the cutlery on the floor. Rajmata who had just entered was shocked to see such an attitude from Geet and was forced to ask, "Gudiya sab theek hai naa?" (Gudiya, I hope everything is fine?) Getting no response she further stated,"Dress designer aap ka shaadi ka joda trial ke liye chodh gaya hai. Aap usse pehan kar de lijiye!" (Dress designer has left your wedding dress for your fitting! Please try it and let him know.)
"Abb koi shaadi nahi hogi. Talaaq hoga!" (There will be no wedding now, only DIVORCE!) Geet walked out in temper holding the newspaper in her hand, leaving a stunned Royal family behind. Hearing the word 'talaaq' Padmini ran behind Geet. Rajmata, Maharaj, Maharani and Chitralekha were still standing or sitting in a state of shock!
While Padmini was trying to reason with Her, Geet's mobile rang. Seeing the caller's name Geet disconnected it. Again it rang and again Geet disconnected it. It continued to ring again and again and she continously disconnected it, finally it stopped. "Gudiya aap bina baath, baat ko bada rahi hain. Yeh aap ki galatfahami hai. Jawai-sa kabhi bhi aisa nahi kar sakte!" (Gudiya, why are you making mountain out of mole hole? You are misunderstanding. Maan can never do this.)
"Bhabhi-sa, aap inhei jaanti nahi hain. Inki harkatein toh pehle se hi aisi hain. Humari shaadi ke pehle do saal humne kaise guzaare hain hum hi jaante hain. Har roz inki dostein yaa saheliyaan inse milne aa jaati theen. Agar hum inse itna prem naa karte aur inhone ne hummei apne prem ka aashwasan (assurance) nahi diya hota toh hum kabhi bhi inse vivaah nahi karte. Hummei lagaa thaa ki bacchon ke paida hone ke baad yeh badal jaayenge! Aur abb phir inki ek ladki ke saath aisi tasveerein. CHI!" (Bhabhi, you don't know him. He always behaved in such a manner. In my first two years of marriage, how I have suffered, I only know. Everyday his female friends or ex-girlfriends would come to meet him. If I was not so madly in love with him and had he not assured me of his love, I would never have married him. I had felt that after being a father he had changed but I guess I was wrong! Now these photographs with this girl in such a pose proves that!) Geet said with disgust and tears in her eyes.
Location: KHURANA MANSION
Meanwhile, Savitri Devi was browsing through the newspaper on the dining table of KM, waiting for everyone to arrive when her glance also fell on the same pictures on Page 3 of the newspaper which caused extreme reaction from Geet. Savitri Devi came in her matriarchal form and thundered,"MR. MAAN SINGH KHURANA, I WANT YOU IN DINING ROOM RIGHT NOW!" Startling whole of KM.
Hearing his Dadimaa's ordering Maan was taken aback. He came still in his night clothes frustrated and said, "Kya baath hai Dadimaa? Ek toh Geet mera phone nahi uttha rahi aur ek aap mujh par chilla rahi hain!" (What is it Dadimaa. One Geet is not picking up my phone and now you are getting angry.)
"Agar hum Geet ke jagah hote toh sirf phone kaatne ke bajaaye bahut kuch karte." (If I was in Geet's place, I would have taken more drastic measures than just disconnecting the phone.)
"Kya matlab?" (What do you mean?)
"Hum aap se apna rishta he todh lete!" (I would have broken my relationship with you!)
"Matlab TALAAQ!" (Meaning DIVORCE!)
"HAAN! Yeh dekhiye apni kartoot! Humne socha thaa ki aap badal gaye hain shaadi ke baad aur chaar bacchon ke pitah hone ke baad. Magar hum galat the! Aap ne Khurana parivaar aur Geet ko Swarna aur duniya ke saamne muh dikhane layak nahi choda!" (YES! See your conduct. I thought you will change after marriage and being a father of four children but I was wrong. You have not only disgraced Khurana family but also Geet in front of Swarna and whole world!) A disappointed Savitri Devi said throwing the newspaper in Maan's direction.
"Maa, Maan ne aisa kya kiya?" (Maa, what has Maan done?) RK asked.
"Khud dekh lo!" (See for yourself!) Savitri Devi said pointing to Maan's photograph in the newspaper.
Maan was shocked to see his innocent gesture towards his client's young daughter, Selina blown out of proportion by media.
Wearing a sports T shirt over his night dress he left saying, "Dadimaa aur Dad, mai abhi Vallabhgarh jaa raha hoon!"
On the way to Vallabhgarh, Maan kept calling Brij, Veer and Yash but got no response. Finally Yash answered. Before Yash could answer Maan spoke, "Yash I want to talk to Geet and clear her misunderstanding."
"Mr. Khurana, no words are needed, pictures are self explanatory!"
"Please Yash at least hear my side of the story before punishing me. I'm on my way to Vallabhgarh!" Maan disconnected the phone before Yash could stop him from coming.
Location: ROYAL PALACE, VALLABHGARH
Maan was welcomed at Vallabhgarh Palace in royal fashion by elders i.e. Rajmata, Maharaj, Maharani and Chitralekha; but none of the youngsters i.e. Brij, Veer, Yash and Padmini (she was with Geet trying to calm her down) were present. Maan understood that the younger generation is extremely angry with him whereas the elder generation is willing to give him benefit of doubt.
Maharani Sumitra and Rajkumari Chitralekha escorted Maan to Geet's room but were surprised to see Brij, Veer and Yash standing outside Geet's room. The three brothers gave Maan furious glares. Before they could loose their temper and create a scene, Maharani Sumitra questioned them in a cool, calm and firm voice,"Aap teeno Rajkumar, Rajkumari Gayatri ke kamre ke bahaar kya kar rahe hain?" (How come you three Princes are standing outside Princess Gayatri's room?)
"Dadi-sa, bua-sa babies ko doodh pila rahi hain. Unhone hum sab ladkon ko bahaar bhej diya magar sirf Mummy ko andar apne paas rehane diya hai!" (Grandma, Aunt shooed all boys out of her room as she is feeding the babies she only let Mummy help her!) Rishi replied in his cute voice showing his displeasure.
Bringing smile in everyone's face listening to his cute complain.
Geet had just opened the door to hear Rishi's cute complain but did not make her presence felt. She at once saw Maan's smiling face making her heart stop for a second and then her hear beats accelerated. He was looking extremely handsome in his unshaven look. Geet realised that Maan was unable to get ready or maybe not even take bath at Geet's ignoring his calls. He must have just jumped in his car and rushed to Vallabhgarh. The distance which took 6hrs. to cover at normal speed, took Maan 3 hrs to cover! For past four hours Padmini was trying to drill in Geet's head that her rash decision could snatch the right of her children to get both their parent's love. Geet above anyone else should be able to understand importance fatherly love as she was devoid of it till RK entered her life. But for giving her children their father's love should she ignore her self respect and Maan's blatant disrespect to the institution of marriage? What if he does it again and again after their marriage?
