I agree with Avi here.
Romance tends to complicate things. The friendship portrayed here is so rare to find.I love the way you have veiled behind your words the trust they have for each other.
But don't they say friends make the best partners.And that reminds me of an old ad of some clothing material (Raymond/Siyaram)where Abhinav Shukla was being showed all dressed up in a suit and he expresses his nervousness about getting married.I do not remember the exact thing.He was more nervous because he was marrying his best friend.He didn't want their friendship to be affected.

It is isn't necessary that all friendships have romance in them but for all romantic relationships friendship must be an essential ingredient.
