The Handa's name their little angel Geet..rhyming to Reet..life was moving blissfully for all.. today after many days the men of the family decided to go for a picnic with family..so taking out time from their business both the families were present at the khurana's farmhouse to have a peaceful and enjoyable time with each other..but some things can never remain silent..same was the bond between Maan and Reet , everything was same between them even after so many years like they used to argue with each other on small- small matters in past now also they do the same..in one corner of farm house they were fulfilling this ritual of arguing and the matter of argument was a math problem...

Holding a notebook in his hand maan tried to put some mathematical sense in reet's brain but reet was no less either she was not ready to accept her fault...

Maan- see what stupid blunder u did..how stupid can u be

Reet- haww..i'm not stupid okay don't call me that !

Maan- ek stupid ko stupid na kahu toh kya kahu stupid!

Reet- maan mind ur language or else I will complain about u to ur father..

Maan- what else u can do..

Reet- don't challenge me..okay!

Maan- why would I waste my time in challenging a stupid person like u..

Reet- ahh! If I'm stupid then why u always play with me..go and find someone else to play with..

Now maan was tongue tied because he had no words to answer her because, its true other than reet, there is no one whom he can call his bestfriend..in school too he have many friends but its reet only with whom he can be himself fully..maybe because from birth till now they have always been together..

Reet- boleti band karde na..ab bolo...in her own cute attitude she teased him , having no answer maan rolled his eyes on her non sense talks and shifted his attention somewhere else , that's when he saw his cutie sitting under the tree..lost in something..ignoring reet's teasing maan ran towards his cutie...

He thought to surprise her so with slow steps he moved towards her from back..and with slow movements he covered her eyes behind his palms.. she was so lost in her work that she didn't even felt the presence of someone behind her until he closed her eyes..she didn't even have to guess who was behind this as it was only one person who does this with her none another Maan..

Geet- Maan..i guessed now remove ur hand..maan pouted at his defeat..

Maan(cribbing)- kya cutie! How easily u guess!

Geet- its only who do this so its easy to guess..

Maan- that means I have to find a new way ..

Geet- no use I will recognize u then also ..

Maan-how??

Geet-aise hi!, cutely she replied with big smile ..which brought smile on his face too and seeing her cute expressions he pulled her chubby cheeks

Maan- awww..that's why I call u cutie..my cutie!

Geet- basss..geet pleaded him to leave her cheeks which he obliged now u go..u always disturb me..she pushed him go away so that she can concentrate on her drawing again..

Maan- first show me what u r drawing , he snatched her drawing pad and gave it a look not able to understand what exactly she had drawn he asked..ye kya hai??

Geet snatched back her drawing pad from him- its not complete yet..till then u will not understand..

Maan- okay complete it I'm waiting..

Geet-no go u will disturb me!

Maan- I promise baba nahi karo gaya disturb!

Geet- did u again fought with reet di??

Maan- nahi toh..

Geet- don't lie..u both fought again that's why u r here without her..why...but maan cut her in between..

Maan- now don't act as her lawyer..do ur work I will not disturb u..saying this maan shut her and lied beside her and asked her to continue with her work.. geet never used to argue to anyone it was in her nature only..leaving him she again concentrated on her drawing..but her peace was short lived when dev came there to disturb her..

As time changes people , the small kid of 3 years who used to be a complete cry baby has now transformed into a complete notorious kid and his favorite timepass was to tease and trouble geet..when he didn't have any other work to do he will tease and trouble her and the bonus was geet was easy target for him..just touch her things and u will get her reaction..and it boosted dev ego too as instead of complaining to others she will plead him not to touch her things ..but when he was caught red handed by his parents while troubling geet a simple sorry was enough to melt her and she used to forgive dev easily without making it a big issue..

From a distance Dev saw his bro there and then looked at geet who was busy in drawing..dev knew how lost she gets while drawing..a perfect chance to trouble her..with slow steps he hided himself behind the tree..maan was lying there with his one hand on his eyes so it more easy for dev to proceed his plan..he stretched his hand and slightly pulled her hair..geet felt the pull ..dev immediately hided himself behind the tree..she looked back but there was no one..making a confuse face she again got busy in drawing , seeing a perfect chance dev again pulled her hair and this time he pulled them bit harshly..due to which geet yelped in pain.. which made maan to get up and looked at her..

Maan- kyu hua geet??

Though she didn't spoke anything but seeing her rubbing her head , maan pulled her head towards him to see what's wrong..

Maan-kuch toh nahi hai..then why u shouted??

Reet- because of him...both geet and maan turned back to look at reet who was holding dev's ear and pulling him from behind the tree...

Maan-dev??

Reet- why were u pulling my sister's hair??

Dev-di I was..playing?? with fake sorry face dev said..

Maan- dev is this the way of playing??

Dev- sorry bro.., maan eyed him to sorry to geet...dev turned to geet and said sorry..

Geet- its okay..

Reet- geetu what are u doing?? , leaving dev reet sat beside to geet, geet started her to explain ..maan ignored reet presence whereas another plan came in dev's mind to trouble geet..he too joined their conversation..when geet was busy in explaining to all , he snatched her drawing pad and ran from there shouting geet catch me if u can!!! Geet knew dev will destroy her drawing , to save it from him she to ran behind him ..maan was highly angered by dev's naughtiness that he too was going to go behind them, but as he got up ,reet held his hand and stopped him..

Reet- abhi bhi naraz ho??

Forgetting geet and dev, maan focus shifted to reet..he pulled his

hand from her grip and rudely replied..

Maan- yes!

Reet- sorry..reet came infront of him while holding her both ears asking for his forgiveness...her this gesture showed it effect but he stilled maintained a strong face in front of her..sorry na...but maan diverted his face to other side..maan..i'm warning u if u will not forgive then..

Maan- then what??

Reet- then..this..with that she started tickling him and soon the table turned as now it was maan who was pleading her to leave him..

Reet- no first say u forgave me..

Maan- hai I forgive u meri maa..leave me now!, getting satisfied by his reply she finally left while maan was still breathing heavily with her torture..

Reet- mazza aaya??

Maan- u r impossible!

Reet- I know..like this they again patched up..

All this was witnessed by Maya and Rano who were looking at their kids from a distance..both their faces covered with sweet smiles ..

Maya- they will look so cute after they will get married na??

Rano- hai..but a thought bothered rano..but..

Maya- but what??

Rano- we fixed their relation at the time of their birth , they enjoy each other's company in childhood but will it remain same when they will grow up..u r understanding na maya what is bothering me..what if our decision gets wrong in future what if they choose someone else other than each other then..

Maya- don't worry about that..i have planned something for that??

Rano- what??

Maya- I'm planning to reveal this secret to both on their 17th birthday which is arriving next month..this is the crucial period of their lives if they will get to know that they will get married to each other in future they will fall for each other only..

Rano- but..will that be right??

Maya- trust me..that would be best! And after maan and reet..geet and dev will also understand it easily, maya assured rano that what she decided will be good for their children...

Raj and Mohinder were college best budies..their friendship not only stayed till college they continued it further too..after passing out from college they both started their own construction company which is still touching new heights of success..both married their respective partners on same date...from that time only it was decided that they will change their friendship in a relation through their children..and as if god too listened to them , the khuranas were blessed with two boys while handa's were blessed with two daughters and it got more easy for them ..

4 years later

The khurana mansion was decorated like bride today and why would it not be today the elder son was the family was getting engaged to his beloved..Maya was right..her decision of telling the truth to reet and maan proved right..though it was awkward for both of them to face each other initially but then with passing time they accepted each other and fell in love..but everything was not that same..

Standing in front of a big portrait in KM , a teenage girl was looking at it..her eyes were filled with tears..but were not daring to come out but a hand on her shoulders stimulated that tear to fall finally..

Maan- missing them..the girl just nodded her head in yes..maan turned her towards him and knelled down to wipe her tears..me too..but are u seeing me crying?? The girl shook her head in no..then u r u crying??

Geet(chocked voice)- u r strong na..issiliye..

Maan- shh don't cry maa and papa will not like it and seeing u like this reet too will cry ..do u want to make her cry on her engagement day...while crying she will look ugly..maan made a face and cribbed just to bring a smile on her face. Which worked geet hit him on his shoulder and said- my di is not ugly okay!

Maan- hai hai but the amount of make up she is applying she looks like chudial...closely dekhna u too will notice..

Geet-jhoot!

Maan- nahi sachii...

Geet- sharam nahi aati apni hone wali biwi ko chudial bolate hue..

Maan- ismei sharam kya..

Geet- accha don't u feel scared of di..

Maan- na..

Geet- okay I'm going to tell her then...with that she ran from there..maan tried to stop her but she was fast..and her smile too stopped him..maan turned towards the portrait of Rano and Mohinder.. they lost them last year in an accident..

Maan- miss u both..kash aap bhi hote aaj..

With grand celebration engagement got over..

Reet like geet too missed her parents a lot ..from being a happy go lucky girl from childhood till being a mature and sensible young lady she witnessed lot of things in life..after her parents death nothing was same for her , whenever she see geet a sense of responsibility automatic comes to her..though khurana's were there with them in hard times..her father family came to delhi to take reet and geet with them but reet denied saying she is educated now and is big enough to take care of herself and geet , khuranas supported her in her decision and stood by her..but she have to stand on her own feet too , she knew khurana's are always there for her , maan is always there for her to support her but she wants to build her own identity too for that she decided to complete her interior decorator course from London she put forward her decision in front of maan and his family , and as a good inlaws they supported her but asked her before going she should get engaged to maan..for which she agreed..

Maan and her relation was also not same like before ,now they don't argue that much instead they are more understanding towards each other..love was there between them but more than that It was their friendship..which allows them to be more open towards each other..

Reet was lost in her thoughts , when someone tapped on her shoulders..

Maan-kaha khogi ho??.reet shook her head in no..

Reet- nahi bas aise hi..

Maan- hmm..

None spoke anything for few minutes..

Maan-I hate u..

Shocked reet looked at him

Maan- aise kya dekh rahi ho..i hate u..jaana jaruri hai kya??, understanding his worry she just nodded her head in yes..Reet still there's one hour for flight to take off please don't go.. holding her hand he pleaded

Reet- why are u denying now maan..

Maan- I'm scared..

Reet- kyu?? To which maan had no answers but still he wanted to stop her..

Maan- okay not for me at least geet keliye toh mat jao..

Reet- for her only I'm going maan..please understand..

At the same moment they heard her flight announcement..she got up to leave.. but maan held her hand..

Maan- please..

Reet-maan please...to which he just hugged her tightly will miss u a lot.. me too.. she separated herself from him and cupped his face..stop behaving like this maan..at the time when we lost maa paa u were so strong u handled me and geet then why now u r behaving like this ha..

Maan- u were there beside me reet always aur ab..

Reet- just one year maan..i will be back...just one year..controlling his emotions

Maan uttered- hmm..i understand..

Too which reet smiled-take care urself and my geet..

Maan- hmm

Again flight announcement of there which made them realize that it was the time to get separated..Both looked in each other's eye for few seconds , then she started to move from there when she felt the tug in her hand..she looked back only to see maan holding her hand..

Maan- come soon..

Reet- bye maan..

These were her last words said to him as she never returned back to say anything else ..the flight which she boarded that night got crashed taking everything with itself...Everything was shattered specially for geet..no one was there for her..

Her so called family from hoshiyapur came on the day of last rituals of reet..they demanded to take geet with themselves as here in delhi there was no one to take care of her..though khurana's protested against this saying they will take care of her but being her real family , geet's relative won the argument ..maya even said that she will make geet her daughter in law by marrying her to dev to which they replied , if their children(mohinder and rano) have already fixed her(geet's ) alliance with dev then they will happily send geet here as a bride but at the time of marriage not now..saying this they took her with them to hosiyarpur..
