Helllooo aaavvviii...nice to see u after ir vacations...i hope u had a wonderful trip...
Now coming to d update...firstly i am very happy dat the female protogonist...in ur stories...is alwsys strong confident woman...i wish girls like them existed more in reality...
As u said...the gender inequality on freedom and success still exists...and ppl like dadima and maan s dad as well do exist in reality...
...being a gal...i can relate to how geet would have felt on realizing dat she might have to give up on her dreams and career...and for dat reason...i kinda feel wat she did was some what ok...it was ok to put herself and her dteams first...it was her fear and insecurity that might have led her to walk away from maan...and as u said she was young and inexperienced... she did not have enough faith and courage to fight the odds...

So she leaves him because she doesn't think she can deal with his family. And there was no way she would sit at home, she wanted to be a doctor. And I think what she did was absolutely correct. When you're studying the foremost thing in your mind is your career. You may be in love, and want to marry someone specific, but the main thought is still your career. I don't think Geet did anything wrong in deciding to not give up her career. Even if she gave it up in future, it should be her decision, not someone else's. And definitely not in-laws for their outdated reasons!!

I don't think you can call her selfish for choosing her career. Then I would call her selfish even if she chose love. It is whether you are intellectually selfish or emotionally selfish!! Do you want to give in to your intellectual demands or your emotional demands, both are selfish, in that sense.

And now that she has grown and matured, she is confident and sure of herself. Career gives you that self confidence. And now that she got this second chance, she doesn't want to let him go. She is ready for him, ready to fight for him.

Fabulous update.. Geet left Maan in the past to fulfill her dreams of becoming a full fledged doctor. After realising his importance in her life, she wants to win him over. Dadima is very strict here. Geet becomes upset seeing garlands on Maan's parents. It seems Maan doesn't recognise Geet but when she said she is his fiancee he readily accepted it. Superb.
