Chapter 4

Doctor came near to that Man's Bed...Till now both Rahul n Geet were looking at doctor ...what he gonna say next ?...Doctor checked that Man..Who was not more than a dead body .What differentiate him was his still beating heart stamping that he was alive...Even his breath was rented now (oxygen mask )...Dr. took a deep breath. Both of them noticed something was wrong ..which doctor gonna say

Rahul: Dr. if any sign visible in this man which can provide hope that one day he can live normal life in future ?

Geet looked at Rahul first n after that toward doctor with wide open eyes...Waiting for doctor's reply...

Dr: No Mr. Rahul..I think nothing gonna happen...Even if u wanna shift him to a hospital having advance treatment..nothing gonna effect him..Wahan bhi inki physical injuries ka treatment ho sakta hai...Inke nerves system per kaffi asar padda hai..n I don think that any specialist gonna take chance with him...I mean any type of surgery can't be performed (he cleared)

Geet took out her slate n start to write on it...Till now doctor had understood she couldn't speak...So he was also waiting for what she gonna write...

Geet (wrote): Per doctor saab!! What to do now ?What's ur opinion ? (she showed to doctor)

Dr: Listen Madam...we can wait for some time..so that he can b normal..I mean atleast can breath normally.With almighty's grace..his backbone is fine...But there is a blood clot in his head.

Rahul :What doctor !!...If that clot is be dangerous for her life...? (totally shocked he asked)

Dr: Mr. Rahul...that blood clot is due to an internal injury. Jisse internal bleeding hue...bleeding has been stopped but blocked his nerves system..That's why his mind is not sporting his body...There is possibility that blood clot itself drained away...and he will be alright...otherwise it seems impossible...(sighed and nodded his head)

Geet ( wrote) : Dr. any possible treatment for this ?

Dr : Madam...famous neuro surgeon Dr. Khanna is here..He is my relative...yahan aaye hue hai mujhe se milne...n When I was checking his reports... Dr. Khanna also discussed it with me...He is going through in my cabin...I just came to check him and he will be here in few minutes to examine him..(he informed)

Dr. Khanna joined them in little time..He examined patient.He gave his final verdict nothing different...That blood clot was responsible for his condition...That was not dangerous for his life ...But that was also responsible for his this condition.Meant If that blood clot remained it nt gonna harm him.On other hand that blood clot blocked his nerves system..so he was in this condition.There was not possibility of surgery.at the moment..Dr. Khanna preformed some more tests..and sent those to other fellow specialists n surgeons...He also cost nothing for these tests as he was a known social worker too...After understanding whole situation...he ensured Geet to help.

Rahul phoned his boss n asked for leave.First his boss got too angry. But after knowing whole situation he sanctioned two days leave.Monday n Tuesday.

Rahul : Geet I think I should go now and inform the police...we should report them..(Rahul gave Geet right option )

Geet ( wrote on slate) : Nahi Rahul..We can't ..We don't know how her reached there..if some one attacked him intentionally...If this is right his life will come in danger again..Police will investigate and who might have attacked him ...that will find him again surely..( she rejected his ides...like wanna ask Rahul to understand her point )

Rahul : But Geet for how much time we can look after him being on his side here in hospital..? Aab yeh mat kehna..main maidaan (ground) shod k bhag rahha hu..But it is a fact we are very ordinary human beings. Who hardly canearn for two meals a day..For how many days people like Dr. Khanna will help and we will stay away from home..? ( His point of view was right.)

Geet looked at him shocked surprised n tears rolled down to her cheeks.

Rahul: Geet please stop crying its ultimate truth..I am a male can stay away from home as long as I want..But what about you we can't shut mouth of people ?..You are a very respectable girl not just in village but all around who ever know you..To earn respect you spend years but to loose just a moment is enough...(he gave a reality check to Geet...)

Geet : Rahul u wanna leave ..U can but not me...U asked how much days...I say till he needs..I can't leave him as such..He can't speak..But from which trauma he is going through only he can feel not any one else..( she wrote on slate n showed him getting angry ...shrinking brows ... and with hand gesture ask him to go..)

Rahul : Tum Geet !!...

Geet : Ya me...I lost everything years back ..n I can feel understand what his condition is ...He also has lost everything...(she got to much upset)

Rahul: Geet so whats your decision now ?

Geet: I gonna b on his side...till he wants...situation may be any ...( with confidence she hit floor )

Rano also came there with some things in her hand.She was listening to them..

Rano : Geet have you got made ? ( she busted)

Geet: Nahi Maa...I think I have no need to make u understand...( she looked at her...in Rano's eyes like what she said and Rano got that )

Rano knew what Geet wanna say..So she was not able to go against her daughter. Rahul went back home...n he was coming late in the evening... Rano gave Geet cloths..brush soap..so that she can change..But water was not hot..so she shivered ...But an unknown felling was forcing her to do so...She asked her mother to talk to her boss in apple juice factory..So to sanction her leave for few days...She never skipped her duty from many years...so she got leave..but not more than six days.

Geet sent Rano back home when Rahul came...He was willing to be with her...But she knew her mother had other works also...the order for Mona's wedding... Unwillingly Rano went back...On other hand Geet's this decision ultimately was ready to bring storm in her life.. When within three days whole village who loved Geet in few days had started to gossip..But Geet never cared for anyone because she knew she was right...

After four days doctor cleared unnamed patient had no improvement in condition. But he was out of danger..so he could b discharged...But where to shift him /sed him Nobody knew who he was ? Even from last five days there was no such enquiry about any missing person from around by anyone...

After four days / Thursday

Geet was sitting next to that patient trying to put juice in his mouth..But no effect. When nurse came.

Nurse: Madam yeh apke patient ka saaman hai..I forgot to hand it over to you... 2 rings hai ,1 Bracelet..There was nothing else when you brought him here but these ornaments were in his hands so got saved...and those blood strained cloths he was wearing ...(she put it on Geet's hand)

Geet looked with surprising while taking things from nurse.She (nurse) left room after that...Geet looked at his cloths in bad condition..Two rings one plane gold ring ..n one having stone in that..n bracelet there was something written on it.

Geet read that might b his name.'Maan'

Precap : Geet decided to sold her precious jewellery n to bring Maan her home.

Chapter 5

Geet: Maan..!!So ur r Mr. Maan...? ( She looked at him thinking about his name...) Atleast I come to know ..who r u ?

She put all his stuff in her Thaila/Beg...And again held glass having Juice..so that Maan could have lil bit of it...But he again rejected.

Rejected intentionally or he couldn't fell/sense ..Only he knew or his god knew..How any one could tell he had something in his mind which he couldn't express or he was not able to understand what was going on around him ?

This is a fact hat What to do with a dead human..everybody knows..It is different thing every religion has its own customs to perform last ceremonies..But what about him...A likely Dead human..whose future was not sure...He was on others pitty... If any one could do any thing ?

He might have done something good so that he had Geet on his side...She was doing everything whatever in her hands or there was any reason behind this for what she was doing ? But it was clear...till Maan had Geet...He had life.

Geet wanted to say something to him...But there was no way..Even he was not in condition to read that which Geet wrote...which she communicate by speaking Both speechless creatures ...how they gonna overcome ..it wholly depended upon Geet first.

Geet heard some foot prints at the door.She looked back.Rano was there brought food for Geet..

Rano: Geet yeh le kush ka le..tumne kush nahi khaya hogga na...( placing bag on table she said)

Geet looked at her n showed juice glass to her that Maan was not thaving it...

Rano: Geet mujhe lagta hai..isko kush samjh nahi aati ki iske aas paas kya ho raha hai ? Kya kismet hai...ek chamch (spoon) panni bhi naseeb main nahi ...( she looked at him with pitty face )

Geet looked at her mother.Placed glass on table n took her slate which she also kept on table..as she needed it many times to make nurse n doctor aware what she wanna say...

Geet(wrote): Maa !!! waqt kiss per kab baari padd jaye kisko patta..aap he kehti ho...per aapne yeh bhi sikhaya hai..we shouldn't get scared of bad phase but we should fight.it is better to face it instead of hiding face( She put it in front of Rano ...Who was waiting for ...Geet reaction on slate)

Rano repeated those words which came to Geet's ears...

Rano: Per Geet iska ..is se kya connection hai...? ( she pointed hand toward Maan)

Geet took slate again..

She wrote: Maa first of all his name is Maan..n second thing Maa ..I jst wanna say If he is in bad phase...Even I think he doesn't know he is in bad phase..then how he can face this phase...N what's wrong if we can help...( she gav her written reaction to Rano...with wide open eyes )

Rano: Ya we can help..but we have to care about society..u know how much people r talking in village !!! Even if u r rite..Whats guaranty he gonna be all rite ? N if he will recover one day he will reciprocate giving u same respect..? You don't know ..tell me for how time you gonna be with him..( she put her one hand on waist..burst on Geet for her stubbornness...)

Geet (wrote ): Maa I don't care what society think ? I m not helping him ..k yeh mera ehsaan mane...aur main inko apne ehsaan k neechay davaa k rakhu..kyo ? Any reason n If I have to help him for ever...I ll...coz I don't need to make u understand.( she snatched slate and gave her written reaction to her mom... )

Rano : Geet you know if he remains in this condition from where we will arrange for his treatment...You sold your ring whats next dear...You will look after him or will think about your future life...your job...and those dreams I have for you..as a mother ( she rolled hand over Geet's head lovingly with wet eyes...)

Her motherly fears were genuine .

Geet: I have decided what to do ..But Maa please tell me if I leave him who will look after him.?..Municipality hospital...What happened in past you know better( she was not able to complete sentence )

Rano: Think dear...I have soft corner for him...He is not able to do nay thing...But we have not that much momey that we could shift him to good hospital...Okey some how we arraneg money...kab tak beta bollo..( She was on her words..to make Geet understand )

Geet: No Maa ..main Maan ko hospital main nahi chod rahi..I gonna take him wtih us.( her decision...left Rano speechless )

Rano : Geet you turned out to be mad..People are gossiping that you are here from days ...Still you want to take him with us ..then what storm will come you know...? (Rano yelled)

Geet: I don care Maa...its final I gonna take him with me..Do one thing take my chain ...hospital k dues clear ho jayegay ( she removed her chain )

Rano had no words now so ...she said nothing.Took chain from her.Coz Geet was not going to turn her decision.
