After One Month
Geet ,Maan n Rano a family of three now... They were suffering but still happy Quite possible Maan had no feeling for Geet..a person who had lost ability to feel a mild touch..how could he understand her feelings ? But if he had felt all sufferings this weak girl faced for him to keep him alive Standing alone in front of this society. then he defiantly had respect for her atleast...
After finishing her every day work...Mailing all required documents to a firm in Shimla..She shut down her computer n looked at Maan who was sleeping under effect of medicine..Given to him as a daily routine to keep him unconscious most of times as his mind needed rest...so he couldn't think much if he could...mental stress could just increase swelling of nervous nothing else...
Few days back Leela shifted a bed to Geet's house.Which her (Leela) father had given during her marriage years ago...But Leela n Sham preferred to sleep on cots. Geet was in more need .She had to take care of Maan n sharing same bed could ease her daily works..In this way she wouldn't need to get up from her cot to look after Maan in these chilling nites.
She brushed his hair.Touched his cheek with her hand..A lil smile came to her lips This was her habit now...To gaze him continuously without blink.She was not aware if she was falling for him..But today something unusual happened as she touched Maan's cheek he responded...He came out of sleep not completely but still he was awake. Even after some time blinked his eyes
Geet observed it..stunned..shocked...tears rolled down from her eyes n she ran out of room...Dragged Rano forcibly who was in deep sleep...
Rano : Geet kya hai itni Raat ko mujhe is tarah kyo kheench( pull) ranhi ho. Maan theek hai na ( much disturbed she asked )
Geet nodded in yes...Lil happiness on her face calmed Rano that everything was fine
Rano :But tell me what has happened that u r dragging me..?
Geet looked around..But her slate was in her room.She dragged Rano there n wrote on slate
Geet: Maa Maan reacted to me first time.( what this little improvement mattered to Geet joy in her eyes narrated all to her mother...reading words on slate...)
Rano : Kya ? ( it surprised her )
Geet: Ha...he reacted first time in two months...He ll b fine soon now I am sure ...definitely Maa...( cherished she hugged her mother)
She got up from bed.As usual Rano judged from little noise in room that Geet was awake now...Rano called her
Rano: Geet aaj bahut soyi na ..maine jagaya nahi...tumko bhi aaram chahea... nahi to kaam kaam bas yahi ( she said without looking backward)
Geet came to her n hugged her tightly.
Rano: Geet maine Pani garam karne k liye rakh diya hai..tu pehle chaaye pe lay.( She gav her cup )
Geet looked at Rano n pointed her finger toward her room
Rano : Accha Maan bhi uth gaya hai .Pani Garam hoga tabhi to Maan k liye logi paani..tab tak chaaye pe lo...(She gave Geet cup of tea)
But Geet nodded her head in denial...Rano took a deep breath looking at her .After giving Maan sponge bath changing his clothes.N feeding him with semi solid material soaked in warm milk as doctor prescribed ..Spending two hours on Maan Geet had her breakfast. He was sleeping now peacefully.
Around 2 O Clock Rahul came...He was free for two days so he asked to be with Geet for Maan's routine check up and Geet also had to tell doctor about the incident happened last nite.Actually Rahul was aware of check up date coz last time he was also with them so he took leave for two days without letting anybody know.He was still standing beside Geet..
Next day at hospital
Doctor was happy to find improvement in him.He was much confident now about Maan...
Doctor: Here so many patients come.n after treatment we discharge them.But only handful of people became familiar to us...Moreover when they come in front of us only then we can recognise them...But in this case I need just ur name Geet.What u r doing for Maan n Rahul for u that makes u exception.? ( he praised both with high spirits)
Rahul: Thax Doctor, but It was u due to whom Maan is recovering..What we alone could do...Per ha yeh to hai...jo Geet ne kiya koi nahi kar pata .She stood alone against society n If I did some thing that was my respect for her..its Honor for me if I contributed lil bit in her noble cause...( he looked at her with full pride)
Geet looked at Rahul..She pointed her finger toward herself then nodded her head.to say that she did nothing great. She again pointed her finger toward Rahul n held his hand in her hands that he gave support to her.Doctor smiled looking at them what kinda relations they share .
Doctor: Chalo ek dusre ko praise karte rahe to bas aagay ka kaam reh jayega. Maine kush reports dekh le hai..Result showed little improvment...But I have to check some reports in detail..So u will get those reports tomorrow.
Rahul: Theek hai main kal le jayuga.Maan ka check kar liya aapne..aur agar reports dekh kar koi nahi medicine etc deni hui ..I ll handle. (he suggested)
Doctor: No no u need not to come.Actually There is person Bharat Singh is ur village na...(doctor had something in his mind to tell )
Rahul : Bharat Singh? ( whose that ?thought )
Doctor: Ya Jo Mandir k pass rehte hai ..unko major attack hua tha..but he is fine now.They insisted me to join them his grandson's Naamkaran..I hav no time.Per unho ne bahut jorr diya k I saved Mr Singh's lif so they wanted to share their happiness. I m coming there tomorrow n ll hand over reports to Geet Aur reports bhi wahi discuss kerlygay. ( so its fine he was coming ..Rahul need not to visit)
Rahul: Oh ya Bharat Tau Ji...ya there is function.We r also invited.Actually unko sabhi Tau Ji kehte hai so Bharat kon hai pehli baar patta nahi chalta.So that's fine doctor (so confusion was clear after details who was he )
It was not less than a miracle for Doctor also 😃Swelling inside his brain system had been reduced lil bit.Nobody knew reason of this improvement... whether The reason was physical improvement which was due to Geet's hard work as she followed what doctor asked strictly...or Maan's peace of mind which was also due to her...That love n assurance to have a safe life given by this girl .Which reduced burden on Maan's mind .
Next Day after function Rano who was in there to attend...Took Doctor to her home. Rahul had left for his work informing Rano.As His boss called to complete a big order on emergency basis n He should b there.
Rano: Geet doctor Saab aa gaye.
She called Geet .Who was applying fall to Saree.She placed Sarree near by table to bed n moved out n wished Doctor.
Rano asked for tea.But he refused as He had enough in ceremony lunch.So Rano n Geet set beside him .
Rano: Doctor saab everything okey ? ( she was asking on behalf of Geet )
Doc: Ya reports I hav checked there is nothing to worry about..But I hav to discuss a serious topic with u . ( he was feeling hesitant to say )
Rano: What ? ( confused)
Doc: Its good that Rahul is not here..other wise it was bit difficult to discuss.
Both mother daughter looked toward doctor in amazement...What was such that doctor couldn't speak up..
