I'm beginning to understand the story now as the flow of it continuous

It was an Awesome Update

so people in the Khurana family has no idea that Maan and Geet are strangers to each other

Maan has a new girlfriend and Meera sees the headlines in the newspaper

but Geet is unaffected by it all and surely Meera will not understand

So Maan family don't know they r strangers for each other. Geet with kids bonding is good. For dadi Geet is her ideal bahu. By seeing paper Meera is confused n saw Geet who at all not effected.
