The Myth

The test of a true myth is that each time u return to it , new insights and interpretations arise.

A saying Or belief Or fact Or superstition Or Myth ... these words play an important part in ppl's life ,, many blindly believe or live their lives on some belief nd myths ,, from d time of d bith of a child to till his/her end some belief never left them ,, those ppl trust a priest who himself a human being nd it's also said that human is a bundle of mistakes ,, then how cn a priest be trusted blindly ? Does a priest's words r more important than an innocent child ? If yes then where is humanity , love , care nd family bonding ? Where r relations nd their warmth ? Where is Truth nd Reality ?

Other side Maan was hell shocked nd worried ,, he was helpless at his place ,, he cdn't get angry or shout at her for this action ,, it cd disturbed her or stressed her ,, unpleasant atmosphere cd creat any prob for her .. No , he cn't do that,, if he talk about her visit to uncle nd DJ , they deffo get paniced , nd it cd angered Geet too ,, one more thing very hardly he get d chance to talk her , if he didn't co-operate with her , she wd not talk to him , nd he didn't know d result of this FH , so better to play smart like her ... give nd take .

Geet wanted to hide d whole matter from DJ nd Kabir uncle nd Maan wanted to talk Geet nd to stay near her, when she was alone here ,, for this both have to compromise for each other ,, Maan looked at thoughtful nd worried Geet ,, he wanted to cocooned her to make her smile nd free from all worries .

There Geet was thinking to find any solution to make Maan agree not to tell DJ nd uncle any thing , but how ? she had to talk him clearly nd of course very sweetly to promise her that he wdn't open this secret to any one , not even on Adi-pinky nd his family too ... Babaji !! koi bhi baat ko leak-out ker sakta tha .. kya karu, kaise esse trap karu ? kahan phas gai Geet ?

Both decided to talk clearly nd spoke together : wo,,wo , cn we .. sorry .

Maan : tum bolo .

Geet: nahi , tum kaho .

Maan: Geet ,, bolo tum kya chahati ho ?

Geet: nahi ,,mai ,, wo ..

Maan sighed nd nodded his head ,, knelt near her sensing her tense ,, Geet looked at him with puppy face ,, he wanted to smile nd to pull her chubby cheeks , but he knew he cdn't .

Both wr unaware what is happening outside ,, d weather became dark nd cloudy nd it started drizzling ,, d workers wr back from work rushed in their tents ,, they saw d caravan nd thought that it was from const Co , nd Rozer & MK wr staying there ,, rain turned more heavy with winds .

When Geet nd Maan listened d sounds of heavy rain on caravan's roof they became alert ,, with a shock geet got up nd opened d window to check nd gasped ,, they wr inside nd busy in their talks or cd say prob ,, in this weather she cdn't go out , even Maan too became worried , though he came here to stay nd had his required belongings with him pack in a bag , but for food he had to go village's mrkt ,, now he cdn't leave Geet alone .

Maan: lo ess ki kami thi ,, ab kya Kare ?

Geet: how i'll go ? Babaji !!!

Maan worried : Geet ,, plzz tense matt ho ,, tum akeli nahi ho , mai hu tumhare paas , daro nahi.

Geet: lekin , yahan farm mei akele kaise ...

Maan: relax ,, we r not alone here ,, a worker's family nd 2 more workers r living here in tents .

Geet felt relaxed listening that ,, she knew ppl live on farms all around , but d farms wr very big nd it was her 1^st experience staying in open field ,, it was good that d fencing work had done nd 4 solar pole's light was sufficient for that area to lit well at night .

Geet : cn u call any worker to check d gate nd to lock that plzz ?

Maan: haan , mai dekhta hu ,, tum darna nahi, OK, mai abhi aaya unse milker , aur tum bahar nahi aana .

Geet : haan, nd come back soon .

Maan nodded in yes nd turned to go but Geet stopped him again .

Geet: suno .

Maan stopped nd turned his head side way to look at her .

Geet: wait , u'll get wet , take umbrella , let me find.

Maan: it's OK ,, I m not made of paper ,, relax nd sit ,, I m coming .

Geet nodded nd sat but as usual started biting her nails talking to Babaji.

Shayad maine sach mei galti ker di ,, mujhe essa nahi kerna chahiye tha ,, ab ho gai na prob ,, ek baat ko chupane ke liye ab kitna kuch sahana pad raha hei , aur darr alag ,, Babaji plzz ess bar help ker do ,, sab theek ker do ,, aage se essa nahi karungi ,, I m sorry Babaji , plz apni bacchi ki help ker do ,, mera intention galat nahi tha ,, I want to make DJ nd uncle happy , ab nahi pata tha ye sab ho jayega ,, bas2 din ki baat hei ,, plzz Babaji handle ker lo na .

Here Geet was buttering Babaji to help her nd there Maan met with workers ,, he was all wet in heavy rain ,, he thanked God that his phone was in waterproof cover otherwise that cd damage in water ,, they wr waiting to slow down d rain so that they cd do some work ,, Maan told two male workersto check d gate nd to close that properly then went to other tent to meet with d worker family ,, Maan saw they have 2 small kids , may be primery school going . both wr looking at him quietly ,when he was talking to their parents ,, after talking to them he was relax that there was no fear from outside , but he knew that there wr two male workers also nd they wr quiet strong ,, d Indian mentalilty made him conscious for Geet ,, he was new here , met 1^st time to these workers ,, didn't know about these ppl ,nd feard for Geet's safty in this lonely place , though he cd go to any extant to save her nd his baby , but he had to be alert in these new labour class ppl ,, in India he heard many unpleasant news every day nd cdn't trust anyone .

In between d workers starte d gen nd light came in tents ,, though d tents wr waterproof but d rain water was coming in from ground nd they hung nd kept their belongings on iron boxes ,, Maan felt bad for them , this rain made uneasy their lives , but they r habitual ,, Maan went to his office tent nd checked everything ,, his bag was on chair ,, satisfied he went back to Van.

To divert her mind Geet startd songs on her lappy nd cleaned d mugs ,, it was Geet luck , that she got Kabirs call in Maan's absence , they reached at IGI airport , Dalhi nd called her at once after getting signals ,, seeing Kabirs name geet took a deep breath nd replied .

Geet: hello uncle ,, happy landing ?

K: yes , how r u beta ? Taking good care of u ?

Geet: yes , I mailed u too in AN ,, I m fine nd had my BF lunch nnd eve tea on time ,, Dr called me twice . where r u now , how is my Daijaan ?

K: we r going to take our bags , ur daijaa nd myJaan is all fine ( both laughed )

Ur DJ is hitting me ,, (Farida smacked Kabir's arm playfully at his words .. myjaan )

Kabir gave phone to Farida nd she started her Q bank ,, Geet replied nd assured her that she is all fine nd listening music,, she increased d sound so that DJ cd listen ,, it really worked to satisfied DJ ,, they cut d call nd told her to call again at her sleeping time ,, it was day in India when they called her,, Geet thanked Babaji ,, lower down d sound of song ,, peeped outside nd find d raining as before ,, she badly stuck in this bad weather nd started running her mind .

Maan entered in van ,,he was wet nd his shoes wr dirty in mud ,, Geet saw him nd stopped him at d door .

Geet: don't come inside in this condition ,, see u r all wet ,, I told u to take umbrella , but no, go to WR right way nd wash them .

Maan: Geet ,, if I washed them then what i'll wear ?

Geet: don't u have extra pair of cloth ,, I have sleepers for uncle so u cn wear them but for cloth u have to manage .

Maan: cn I bring my bag here ,, I have cloth in that .

Geet : OK , go nd bring , how cn u live in wet cloths ?

Maan went back running nd brought his bag nd office bag ,, he removed his shoes at d door nd Geet gave him a pair of sleepers nd towel ,, Thanking her Maan came in nd closed d door ,, placed his bag aside nd opened to take out his casual ,, Geet shows him WR .

Maan: Geet , don't fear , d gate is properly closed , nd workers family has 2 kids ,, they said there is no fear , they r living here from last one week ,, area is well lit .

Geet: OK , thanks ,, d family has 2kids , but I didn't see any kid in day time ?

Maan: I think they r school going kids ,, so they cn be in school at that time .

Geet: Oh ,, may be ,, but they came here only a week back then how they got school here .

Maan: I don't know that ,, it's my guess ,, we cn ask them later about it .

Geet: hum,, Ok , go nd change , u r wet .

Maan went in WR nd Geet checked t time ,, though she had cooked food in fridge , but she had to make something bcoz Maan was there ,, DJ cooked for one , but d food divided in to two.

When Maan came out from WR , he was in track ,, wet hair , towel in neck nd his upper body was bare ,, Geet looked at him nd gulped hard ,, d sight was so captivative ,, his well built bare body was adorable ,, Maan too looked a t her nd their eyes met for a friction of sec ,, she felt uneasy nd turned ,, there was no sep room where they cd go ,, Maan took his vest nd wore that , he too was feeling awkward .

Maan: aammm,, Geet , where I cn keep d wet clothes nd shoes ?

Geet : there is hangers in that cabinet ,,( she gestured) hang them in WR nd keep d show in near inverter , there .

Maan did that nd came back ,, there was a silence between thm ,, both knew that they have to spent d night together in this bad weather ,, geet had manage DJ nd uncle , but now she had to manipulate Maan ,, only then she cd take a sigh of relief.

Maan got Geet's weak point nd wanted to use it as trump card ,, neither he wanted to hurt her nor leave her ,, so better to make a deal,, Maan cleared his throat nd Geet looked at him .

Maan: aahhmm ,, Geet tumhe essa risk nahi lena chaiye tha .

Geet: I didn't think it cn be happen ,, I booked my room in Inn .

Maan: but that Inn also not safe ,, u put ur nd baby life in danger ,, tumhe akele etna travel kerke nahi aana chahiye tha .

Geet looked here nd there ,, he was right at his place ,, in her excitement to give surprise DJ nd kabir uncle she came in this situation ,, bounded to take favour of Maan ,, spending time with him in hercaravan ,, forced to request him not to say about it to DJ nd uncle.

Seeing her quiet Maan thought that she was in tension nd fearing ,, he tried to make her sure .

Maan: Geet darr lag raha hei ?

Geet looked at him nervously : haan,, nahi ,, wo haan thoda sa .

Maan smiled : daro nahi ,, mai hoon ,, tumhare paas tumhari meds to hein na ?

(in heart he was also fearing for her )

Geet : haan hein ,, will u do a favour for me ?

Maan knew what she'll say: sure , i'll , but in one condition .

Geet looked at him tense ,, Maan smiled which made geet more confused .

Maan: don't take any tension nd u won't get angry ,, just relax nd smile .

Geet smiled back listening his words , nd really felt relaxed .

Maan: that's it , now tell me what do u want from me ?

Geet: don't say anything to DJ nd Kabir uncle about this ,, i'll tell them later .

Maan: u'll tell them later when u keep u fit nd fine in these days nd allow me around u to take care of u ,, u cn trust me , plzz.

Geet: huumm,, I'll , nd don't talk about trust ,,for ur info there is a Govt hsptl in village , 4 KM away from here .

Maan sadly : pray not to go there nd keep urself cool .

Geet: i'll try .

Maan: not try baby, u'll ,, u have to take care , otherwise...

Geet kept quiet ,, how cd she live with free mind when he was around her , but she had to bear it happily for d safety of her child ,, when she think that she felt a kick in her tummy ,, a smile crept on her lips , caressed her bump lovingly ,, Maan noticed that nd urged to feel his baby ,, he saw Geet's friends feeling d baby move placing hands on her tummy nd their excited faces ,, he didn't know anything about baby's movement .
