Pyaar ka Pahla Kadam

Maan and Geet were the head boy and the head girl of their school .. But both hated each other since they had started to study there.Maan was in the school since nursery but Geet joined the school when she was in 9^th

Maan was the hero of the school as he was a handsome and charming boy .. He was in his teen age so he always tried to look smart.. He was from a well known family of the city .Almost all the students knew about his Back ground.. and all were impressed with him for many reasons..

He was smart, He was rich, He was intelligent, He was the apple of the eyes of the teachers as he was the one who helped his school to win so many trophies in sports. He was the topper of the class . In short he was the perfect boy for anyone to dream..

The day Geet joined the school

Class looked at the girl who just entered the class with the permission of the teacher.. Maan looked at her and he found ok type. she was very simple and was having two brads of hair... Teacher introduced the class to the girl after seeing her name in the attendance register.-Class...She is Geet.. Geet Handa.. She is joining this school today.. And teacher asked Geet to sit beside Maan..

Geet looked in to the direction where the teacher pointed out.. There was a boy on the seat.. She moved towards him and put her bag on the desk and settled herself on the chair.

Maan-Hi.. I m Maan.. Maan Singh Khurana.. I hope you have heard about Khuranas?

Geet-No I haven't..What they do? By the way I M Geet..Nice to meet you but Maan felt himself insulted at what she said about khuranas.. He looked at the hand of geet which she forwarded towards him to shake .. but his ego did not allow him to do that..

He looked at her and turned his face

This was the start of their relation.. Geet was simple girl but For Maan she was a girl who was high headed as she said something about his family which he did not like..

And first term exams came and when result was declared.. All were shocked as this time it was not Maan who topped the exams ..It was Geet who topped..

It was not a small thing for Maan.. She has attacked once again on his self respect.. He was second this time in exams which never happened in his life.. and it hit his ego..

On the other side Geet was oblivious from all these.. Though few girls became her friends but they all were scared of talking to her in front of Maan as he was the hero of all the girls and the worst part was that Geet never noticed Maan's handsome personality.. and Maan thought that she was jealous of his smartness as she herself was very simple living girl with spects on her eyes. Maan had never heard her talking about any luxury so he thought her to be from some ordinary family.. Least he knew that she too belonged to a very highly reputed family but her family was very simple and did not believe in showing off their wealth..

Maan tried his best to defeat Geet in studies but he could not.. Not even in studies She was no less than him in sports too.. Their school started to win the trophies in girls sports too because of Geet but He instead of being happy for his school felt jealous of Geet as she was now taking the same place in the hearts of the teachers which he possessed..

And now Geet was the strongest competitor of Maan..and slowly other students started to be friend with Geet..So maan was feeling himself less important in front of Geet..

Geet sometimes tried to be friends with maan but Maan's ego did not allow him and he ignored Geet's gestures.. Geet noticed his rude behavior and stopped to try to be friend with him.. but she did not stop to talk to him as his class mate..and she kept her talks limited to the school related only..

In final exams Geet again topped and this was not acceptable for Maan.. Some of his friends mentioned too and praised Geet but Maan took it as his insult and tried to do more hard work to get more marks than Geet in 10^th Boards..and he literally studied hard along with other activities.. But the day the result was out he was so shocked..

He and Geet got the same Marks.. So in other words they both were the topper but Maan was not first again..and it ignited his jealousy and anger more towards Geet..

They were in 11^th standard now..It is the time when teenaged boys and girls turn in to adolescents so they behave like some grown up men and women..

Maan was now more alert about his looks .. He always tried to look best even in a simple uniform.. when ever he went the smell of his deo took the hearts of the girl with him.. But Geet did not show any change in her behavior towards him..

Maan was so jealous of her that Sometime he taunted her about her dressing sense and called her bahanji too.. Now Geet too was hell irritated with his behavior so she had started to pay him back with what Maan was giving her. She started to call him DD.. For other girls he was dhakl dhak but for her he was Dust Danav..Who was always full of attitude and arrogance..

And soon they were famous as Tom and Jerry in the school /Even teachers too were aware of their behavior.. They tried to make them friends but their anger for each other was not letting them to accept that..

Maan was always behind her .. He never left any chance to taunt on Geet and Geet was so annoyed with him..

The situation was so worst that they were not ready to see each other's face but they were helpless as there was no option other than to see each other because they were in same class..

In 12^th Standard Maan and Geet were selected as head boy and head girl of the school respectively..

Maan wanted to pull his hair as now they had to work together . They were now responsible for every good and bad in the school..

In the beginning they were not co operating each other.. so it was creating problems for school.. But Authorities did not want to fire them from their posts as they were best in the school and were most suited for the posts..

Seeing no other options Principle called them in his cabin and warned them to behave properly.. He threatened them that he would instruct the teachers to cut their marks in their exams for their bad behavior..and they will have to face their class fellows if they get more marks than Maan and Geet in exams because they were surely going to get less marks as many marks were going to be cut for their each mistake and fights

And this really scared both Maan and Geet.. They assured the principal to behave properly..

They both came out of principal's room and said together-Look Maan/Look Geet

and both stopped listening to each other..

Maan-tum bolo.

Geet -nahin tum hi bolo warna bologe ki yahaan bhi tum second hi aaye..

Maan-What? Are you out of Mind?

Geet-Me or out of mind? No I m properly at place in my mind.. Think about yourself..

Maan turned his fingers in to a fist to control his anger..

And said-Look Geet I m not the person to bow down in front of any one but principal's talks forced me to think.. you have already spoiled my image in front of everyone..

Geet-Haww ..maine kya kiya..

Maan-I mean.. you had spoil my image by competing with me and you brought me down at second position most of the time..and Geet felt proud of herself and thought-The Great Maan Singh Khurana accepting his defeat,.,.Not bad Geet..but said nothing to him..

Maan-Are you listening to me?

Geet-Yes..Now tell me what do you want?

Maan-Geet I don't want my parents to feel low because of me as they know that I m the best student,, when they will know that I m going down because of our fight in school it will hurt them.. I know we can never be friends but can't we pretend in front of all that we are friends now?

Geet thought for a moment and said-Okk.. If you say so I m in..She first time saw him talking about his family other than him..

And for the first time they shook hands like a friend..( I mean like if they were friends but in real they were not.).

And after that whenever they were with friend they behaved like good friends but in alone they always fought like Tom and Jerry..

And while pretending as friends their hatred towards each other started to reduce and their tom and jerry sessions too were now very less

And school students and teachers could take a breath of relief seeing them behaving friendly..But the friends knew the reality of Maan and Geet's friendship

.. The time started to roll and their last year in school came to the end,. They were going to have preparation leaves but before that they had to attend the farewell party as juniors were throwing the farewell party in the honor of their seniors.. All were asked to come in formal..Boys in suits and Girls in sarees..

And at the day of the farewell everyone was feeling nervous.. as they came there as some grown up person..

Geet hadn't come till now..

Maan was there and like always he was looking the most handsome guy in white jacket..

every girl complimented him for his smartness and the boys were feeling themselves very low in front of him..Maan smiled and thanked everyone..

He was talking to his friends .. His back was towards the entrance of the hall.. suddenly all became silent.. Maan looked at his friends who were looking behind him.. He turned and he himself was rooted at his place..There was standing the optimum beauty..The beauty which was covered with off white saree which was quite simple. Her hair were open which he was looking for the first time.. Earlier they were always were tied in two brads..He never noticed the length of those brads..Maan was looking at her unmoved-OMG she hid herself behind that bahanji getup?

Geet was standing on the entrance and was looking for her friends..Few boys moved towards Geet and they shook their hands with Geet.. They complimented her for her beauty and Geet really felt shy but said thanks to them with a polite smile. Maan felt angry on those boys,, Full year Geet was with him and he never tried to notice her.. First time he realized how beautiful she was..He wanted to go to her but his ego again stopped him But seeing other boys going again and again near Geet he felt some jealousy in his heart .and then in his trance he moved towards her..He reached near her .. Geet saw him and gave a smile to him-Hi Maan..

Maan-Hi Geet.

And he moved his hand towards her.Geet looked at his hand and than at him.

Maan- this time no pretending..It's very genuine..This is our last day at school..

Geet-Right Maan.. kal se hum dono ke raaste alag alag..kya pata hum kabhi mile na mile.. Maan did not know but he did not like Geet's this talk-Why are you saying so?

Geet smiled-because we were never friends,, aur ab natak karne ki bhi zaroorat nahin hai na.. koi marks nahin kaatega hamaare..and she laughed

Maan smiled .. He asked the waiter who was passing by for a drink . He picked up two glasses and gave one to Geet..

And Geet took that with a thank..

Few of their friend came to them and said-Maan Geet.. You are actually the only competitor for each other.. Today too you are competing each other,...It's very hard to say who is more charming between both of you. Geet you are really a surprise package for us.. and Maan see today too she is fiving a tough competition to you.. and Maan first looked at Geet and then he gave a smile to everyone ..First time he was not feeling jealous of Geet.. He felt good when that boy said so..

And there was some announcement..

The anchor was announcing-Friends ..Time for the dance ..select your partner for you But I have selected one pair.. Maan and Geet.. I think they for the first time are talking in a friendly way..We have seen them fighting , arguing and competing with eac other.. and we all were te victim of their fights So today we deserve something in return.. I nvite them to have a dance together.. We have seen every aspect of their personality so why not we deserve seeing them dancing together..

And everyone hooted to support the anchor..

The anchor again said-So here we present Maan and Geet..The head boy and the head girl of this year for the first time to have a danve together and hall echoed with the sound of applauds..

Maan and Geet looked at eash other..

Maan forwarded his hand toward geet and she held it.. and Maan held her hand gently..and brought her to the dance floor..

Their hands were entangled with each other.. maan's other hand came on Geet's waist and Geet felt something moving in her body..something different which she never felt.. and she looked at Maan and her other hand automatically came on his shoulder

Bekasi mein hua
Tujhko har duaa di, aur dagaa bhi
Aur fanaa hua

As their hands were on each other so they so they had to stand very close almost touching each other's body.. Maan could smell her perfume which was creating magic on him.. For him too it was the first time that he was dancing so close to a girl.

Geet gulped her saliva feeling that proximity between them.. she looked in Maan's eyes they were looking very different today.. what was there? She could not grt.. ow could she.. She was never close to any boy in her life..

Soon they were spell bound with each other and they were captured by each other's eyes.. they forgot what they were doing..They were drowned in the magic of each other's eyes.. they were not able to see any other thing other than themselves

Aur fanaa hua

Maan twirled Geet and soon Geet's back was touching Maan's body and she was feeling her legs becoming jelly and she was now not able to hold herself but Maan held her tightly and looked at her from behind..

Their eyes met and they felt them saying something..Maan's hand came on Geet's tummy and geet's breath stopped for a moment..

She controlled herself and tried to go but Maan did not let her go he was still holding her hand so she came back with a jerk towards him and Maan tried to put his hand on her waist but Geet removed his hand.. She did not know what she was feeling.. that was very new for her

Kurbaan huaaa...

Ada pe...wafa pe...jafa pe

Kurbaan hua ha haaannnaaa...

Maan was no less than Geet.. He was feeling something stirring in his heart..

He looked Geet's changed expressions and u nknowingly few words escaped from his mouth-You are too beautiful Geet..

And Geet was shocked at his comment.. She looked at him and found his expression different from ever..

Marne ka sabab
Maangta raha dar-ba-dar
Mitne ko toh dil
Pal mein raazi hua
Poori hui har aarzoo
Har daastaan meri
Ke tum shuru hue jahan
Main khatam hua

And Next moment she found herself off to her feet .She was In Maan's arms who while dancing had lifter him and was now twirling taking her in his arms..

After few moments he put her down and again pulled her towards him,..and she lost in that moment came very close to .. They were too close that their face were almost touching

They were now swaying on the music ..

Both were experiencing their first feelings but did not know what were those .they did not know the name of those feelings..,,They were still moving together but they did not know that music had stopped but they were lost in each other..But their trance was broken with the loud sound of applaud..Hall was echoing with thunders of the claps for them..

Both looked at each other and swiftly parted away from each other..

They for a moment looked at each other and both found a shine in other's eyes...and Geet turned from him to another side feeling something very special in her heart..
