This OS is dedicated to all my loyal readers who continue reading 'Into the Dark' even without the presence of Maan. I know its real slow, LIKE SNAIL SPEED but promise it would pick up very soon. Just want to set the scene. Anyways thank you for sticking around, this OS unlike my FF has quite a lot of Maan (lol). Its my way of saying Thank you and continue reading. OK it is based on a train journey since I use the train a lot and the initial bits of how Geet gets on the train is loosely based on Sophie Kinsella's 'The Undomestic Goddess', one of my favourite authors due to Shopaholic series. Normally you need a passport to cross country boarders, but for this OS please ignore this, Writers freedom.

The OS will have 2/3 parts which solely is dependent upon the reviews I get. So press the like button and leave your comments, and I'll try to update sooner. Hope you like the OS.

Transport love - Railing away (Beginning)

'It's not what it looks like Geet' Dev shot out the bed and quickly put on his clothing

'Geet I can explain' Kajol added who covered herself quickly with the sheets

'What will you explain you backstabbers, I can't believe my fianc is goofing around with my best friend' cried Geet throwing what ever come in her hand at the culprits. Once she was done with throwing things, she slammed the door shut getting highly angry at herself. She just caught them at it in a hotel room, in her hotel as well. Cheap, disgusting animals. Wait wasn't Dev meant to be coming tomorrow from the US. His a liar her brain cried. If it wasn't for that phone call asking her to come to the hotel today, she would have never known. That means everyone in the hotel knew, her staff knew. Oh god could it more embarrassing. She had spent the last two months trying to convince her father about that same man, Dev. He was the best man for her, she told her father. But little did she know, he was a lying, cheating bas****. How could he do that, they were together for the last 3 years and life seemed perfect, well for her at least. But she was wrong, he was a conniving deceiving little dog. no not little, a big BIG moron. How could he cheat and that too with her best friend. Her dad warned her about his intension, how did her daddy know. How would she face her dad; face the world, it'll be all over the papers tomorrow. Geet Honda's fiance Dev caught in the Act or Geet Handa the dumped bride, better yet Heiress too dumb to know her cheating fiance. All three qualified for the headlines for tomorrows sensational news.

'Watch where your going women' bellowed a man,

'I'm sorry, sorry' she said in her distort state, only then realising that she reached an unknown place that was buzzing with people. She wanted to cry her heart out alone, but now even that wasn't possible. Come to think of it where was she

'Where I'm I' she said aloud

'Are on drugs or something women, its central station' said the same man giving her weird looks. That was perfect, just where she needed to be, London railway station in the middle of the day, with hundreds nor millions of people watching her break down and then some douchebag would put it on Youtube and soon it'll be on 10 o'clock news. She could just picture herself 'Handa girl lost her cool', no that can't happen, her mind screamed. She won't let Dev, the stupid; pervert and that looser Kajol win, no ways never.

Oh shit that's David, no no no why me she questioned. David was a not-so-close friend but a reporter who was covering her wedding, after all she was an heiress. Mohinder Handa owned hotels all over the world mainly named after her like G-star Hotel or GH resort. She was the apple of his eye, often threatening her friends and even beating some her past boyfriends for making his baby cry. She loved her daddy, he was an powerful man who was willing to do anything for his child. He also made a bad name for himself for being ruthless and heartless but she knew better. Shit Geet forget Daddy, think about David if he finds out Dev cheated on you then your life is screwed, she thought very well knowing the consequences. Without giving it a second thought Geet quickly got onto the train behind her before David catches a glimpse of the fashionable heiress in a not so fashionable state.

'Look mum I'm getting married soon and I wanted to enjoy my last holiday with my friends, not you' said the young girl to an older women, by now even Geet knew it was her mum. See she wasn't as dumb as people thought she was, especially Dev, that double headed mong. After entering the train, she grabbed the first seat next to the window but unfortunately not realising it was a table seat. Hence both the women sat in front of her.

'Are you ok darling' said the older women in front of her, in her confused state Geet didn't realise she was crying garnering attention from nearby passengers.

'Yes I'm good, thank you' saying so she looked out the window trying to stop any further conversation

'Look Deepika, I know you want to spend the last days with your friends but I thought I was your best friend. I would miss you and I just wanted to be with you before you go', the daughter immediately hugged the mother feeling guilty. Oh shoot did she have to sit next sentimental people, she was already crying and after this show she would be wailing. With that thought Geet decided to get away from the mother-daughter issues and not to forget the marriage debacle that she was trying to run away from But she couldn't locate an empty seat. Thus decided it was better to sit there.

Tring, tring, tring

'Sweetheart I think its your phone' said the mother

It was Dev and that was when she realised it was 4pm, what did she to for the last 3 hours. What the hell she walked for 3 straight hours, now realising how badly her legs ached. Should she answer his call, yeah she should give him a chance to explain her heart suggested

'Where the heck are you Geet, I have been looking every where for you'

'Well you didn't look hard enough, did you. You might find me hiding under the bad for all you know' she shot back

'Don't play games, tell me where you are and I'll pick you up'

'Its over Dev, forget about me and forget the wedding. Its not happening'

'What are you talking about, you got it wrong. Kajol came onto me, I was slightly drunk that's why I thought it was you. Baby please'

'You fu***** liar, stop chatting shit you came onto me that too 7 months ago. Remember' she heard her friend shout from behind. Her best friend and her fiance were together for the last 8 months, just how dumb was she.

'Dev just get lost, I don't want you no more in my life. You low-life looser' Geet clearly heard enough over the phone as both the culprits start fighting on the other end, accusing each other for their crime.

'Baby I got a life, its you who clearly needs one. How desperate are you, normally I work hard to coax a rich girl like you but you turned out to be an easy catch' Dev uttered when Geet hurt his ego, this hurt Geet even more but right now she needed to show him he had no effect on her.

'Then sorted I'll post the ring back. Wait Dev I think I lost the ring' she shot back realising the ring wasn't on the ring finger, she had no idea what she did with it. Well come to think of it, she had no clue of what she did for the last 3 hours and didn't even realise the train was moving until she noticed a passing tree.

'What the hell Geet that was a ancestral ring, how could you'

'Stop lying you faggot, I saw the receipt. I know you lied but I thought it was because I always wanted an family heirloom, but now I know lying is your blood. You should be lawyer' she remarked angrily before cutting his call. His not worth it Geet, his not worth it, right now this was her mantra and after repeating for god known how many times, she managed to subdue her pain and anger. But by then the mother and daughter in front of her were highly intrigued by her story since she had Dev on speaker, almost all the passengers heard his betrayal and her folly. Just how stupid was she, so she narrated her story the passengers nearby who questioned her. She liked the attention she received for now, she always liked to be the centre of attention. She was after all an heiress but who would know she was Geet Handa in this state, and mind you she only introduced herself as Geet not wanting the news to spread any further.

'Tickets and rail passes' shouted the conductor. Everyone got their tickets out ready for inspection just then Geet realised she boarded a train without a ticket, but phew she had her purse, thank god she didn't loose that.

'Where's the last stop' she enquired

'Belgium' the conductor replied

'WHAT' she screamed, in her disastrous decision she boarded the wrong train. Manchester, Blackpool, Carlisle even Glasgow would have been fine. But no she got onto Eurostar and was now heading for Belgium, just great. However the nice man explained that the train would be travelling to Belgium but most occupants were part of a tour who would get off in France, Deepika and her mother seconded that; informing her about their Europe trip all the way to Italy. So after a lot of persuasion, Geet agreed to join them for this tour, maybe it'll be good. Oh well last minute holidays wasn't exactly something new for her or her daddy, shit that reminds her; she should call her dad.

'Batteries dead' she noted slamming her phone onto the table, this did not go down well with Deepika who remarked that iPhone 6 should be treated with care, but Geet cared less. She asked a bunch of people if she could use their phone, many rejected sighting signalling issues but some were down right rude. However over a sea of people she heard a masculine voice offering her his phone, so she went near him. That's when she noticed just how good-looking her saviour was, well not exactly a saviour but he definitely looked like one. She noticed he had branded clothing, being brand caution herself. But he held this aura of command and sophistication, he's so hand-some, her mind screamed. But she met many models in her life and in situations like this; she did what she deemed important, 'simply act like an women in front a gentleman' she remembered her etiquette teacher saying. But she was an important women, and an important women ignore the likes of him. Do not notice his M shaped lips, nor his deep brown eyes nor his fine jawline. IGNORE women, one half of her brain shouted. While the other refused to abide by the rules and couldn't remove her eyes from this perfect specimen. Ignorance is a bliss she read in Heat Magazine, this was a full-proof plan to attract him, it worked with Dev didn't it, but he said I'm an easy catch, would this man think the same, she questioned herself. But she decided to follow the 10 commandments mentioned in the magazine anyway.

She dialled her father's number once he handed over the phone and hung up after a brief conversation. She knew if she talked longer she would breakdown down and Dev would end up with more than a broken nose, yes she wanted him hurt but not just right now.

'You've got beautiful eyes and when you cry you look incredible, so you should cry often' said the beautiful man making her smile

'Well I like your shirt' she made a conscious decision not to praise this man who clearly looked like he had a football sized ego

'Thank you, may I know the name of this pretty women' he asked when Geet walked started walking

'You first' she demanded turning around

'I was being the gentleman by asking the lady first, isn't ladies go first always. But if you insist, my noble name is Maan. Now yours' he cross-questioned almost desperate to know her name although he knew already, who wouldn't she was the arrogant, self-centred Heiress but the papers did no justice to her, he realised meeting her in person. Firstly she was far more beautiful and to him she looked vulnerable, almost fragile. He decided there and then he wanted to protect this women all his life.

'Geet' she replied without adding the Handa

'Would you like to go out for dinner once we get to Paris, they say its the city of love' he said putting on his best flirt face

'Too fast, aren't we' Geet had seen it all before and honestly she didn't want to get involved with another man, all men are the same her brain alerted.

'The next stop would be Calais' Geet heard the commenter announce, she then followed her new friends , Deepika and her mother to the designated platform were the group met with the tour guide. Shit Maan is also on this bloody tour, wait did she just call him by his name.

'Oh great, just great' she said out loud

'It'll be fun, me and you together for one WHOLE week. That's full 7 days, I'm sure you won't be able to keep your hands off me' he whispered in her ear, the annoyance light had just lit up in her head. This bloody man thinks too highly of himself.

'Yeah to give you one tight slap maybe' Geet countered back

'what about a coffee tomorrow' he shouted when she walked off with the co-passengers.

The next 3 days Maan spent following Geet, trying very hard to impress her. The papers made it look easy but he realised soon that she was one tough nut. They toured different towns in France e.g. Calais, Abbeville, Paris, Lyon. Over the journey Geet gained a soft spot for Maan, no other man ever wasted that much effort on her. Because she was an easy target her brain screamed, she always accepted an offer on the second go, was she that stupid and dumb it was principle to accept an man's invitation after the third time. No wonder the papers always referred to her as a bimbo.

'Hey what are you doing, please don't tell me your thinking about me' Maan had noticed Geet sitting on the beach all alone and decided to join his lady love. Maan then realised she was crying when she quickly wiped off her tears.

'why are you still crying' he questioned angrily

'Sorry but I'm sure you know, I'm the talk of the town right now' she said sarcastically

'But if you must know from the horses mouth then there you go, my fiance cheated on me with my best friend' she shouted for the world to know

'I don't know why your crying over some rough, I'm sure he has already moved on' he said thinking it would help her but this made her cry more.

'Ok maybe he hasn't' he quickly corrected realising he done more damage than good. So in the end he decided to sit there with her on the beach in silence, not wanting to hurt her again. He hated her in this state, he couldn't bare to hear her cry. He cradled her into his arm noting the chillness in the night and to comfort her, to let her know that he was always there for her.

'We were together for the last three years' she quietly spoke gaining his attention.

'I don't know how I didn't see it, he flirted with everyone but I thought nothing of it. I'm so stupid' she cried

'No your not, he didn't realise how lucky he was' he voiced out his stance explaining how fortunate any man would be to have a women who had blind faith in their relationship. Maan comforted Geet in her broken down state, she shared her insecurities and he instilled confidence in her with his soothing words. After that night their equation changed. Geet responded to his jokes even flirted back on occasions, she smiled; laughed and talked to him more freely. Maan fell for her more and more with the passing days.

They were in Milan on the 4th day and Maan had promised to take Geet shopping. So here there were in a small boutique, just the two of them and Maan loved every second. Geet picked a load of clothing for herself and for him saying it would be fun dressing up. She even mentioned how she always did it with her friends. After an hour Maan had brought the items he wanted to buy which were chosen by Geet, she complimented on how hot he looked in each clothing making him blush but she was too busy to notice that. He was there waiting outside the changing room, it was her 20th change and he was getting tired. Maybe it wasn't an good idea but every time she came out dressed in a new dress, he felt rejuvenated. He knew he was in love with this child-like crazy women.

'Geet I'm tired' Maan shouted over the curtain

'No I'm nearly done, you'll love me in this' she said pulling the curtain aside and he stood there looking aghast. She was drop dead gorgeous, she looked hot with a capital H. She had worn a red short skater dress, which accentuated her figure. Maan walked up to Geet and held onto her waist.

'You look amazing' he said moving his hand to her back, but that was a mistake, the dress had a very low back thus giving him feedom to feel her flesh. That one touch electrified both of them. Maan moved his grace from Geet when he heard voices and that's when he saw a bunch of men checking his girl out. How bloody dare they, he glared at them and quickly pushed Geer into the changing room asking her to change into her old clothes. She protested saying she liked the dress and wanted to walk out the shop in it. However Maan declared if she were to wear such dresses it would only be in front of him and no one else. This caused Geet to blush making her look delectable, but right now Maan needed to focus on those perverts. Geet knew he was being possessive and she totally liked it.

'Geet so what do you do career wise' Maan asked Geet. They sat in a caf in Venice watching the sunset. The last five days had been the best days of Geet's life, she liked spending time with Maan. He boasted her confidence in herself unlike everyone else in her life.

'Nothing' Geet answered back unsure where this conversion is leading to

'What do you all day then' he asked wanting to find out more about her

'I go shopping, party with my friends. I don't know we just chill, I suppose' now thinking about her life she herself was confused how she spent her days.

'I'm dumb, I'm a bimbo Maan' she said when Maan suggested her to try business but she was too quick to nullify his suggestion explaining to him how people always perceived her as some dumb girl, Dev called her his trophy girl . Maan was hurt that she thought so low of herself, so he made her promise to try working with her father and in return she asked for a gift from him. She wasn't really that confident, she had an low self-esteem when it came to intelligence. Yes she knew she was beautiful but brains, she knew she lacked. But Maan made her believe she was clever, she just needed to give it a try and focus on it. She was now looking forward to working with her father, she knew he would be surprised but if she tried hard enough she could make a difference. So she set her mind on knowing more about their hotel business once this trip was over. Maan had put her life into prospect. As a gift he suggested he would take her out for dinner the next day when they finally reach Italy, they would dine in Rome; how romantic.

Geet spend the following day choosing an outfit to wear for their date, she was so excited. She knew she liked Maan far more than any of her past boyfriends, including Dev. He made her laugh and cry at the same time, he made her feel special. She asked Deepika for help, who was equally excited knowing about the impending date. She liked being Geet, life was so simple when she dropped the Handa. There was no fear on being used, no one took secret pictures, everyone just let her live her life and was happy for her when she was happy. But it was only one more day and all would end, she didn't know if she would see Deepika and her mum again who she liked. Would she see Maan again, whom she loved. Yes she realised she loved him by now, but was still unsure of her feelings. However she wanted no one to find out she was Geet Handa, that would ruin this magical journey of hers.

Maan came to pick Geet up that evening around 6 o'clock. To say he was gobsmacked would be an understatement, she looked more attractive than any other women he had ever seen. She wore a black knee length off shoulder dress complementing his black fitted shirt and trousers in which he looked very handsome. He had booked an entire restaurant for their date, the lights and the decoration looked beautiful. From the restaurant they could see the leaning Tower of Pisa, making it more romantic. They laughed, danced, talked and laughed some more. The food was the fine, the music was great and the company of each other was the best. Geet was having a gala of a time.

'Geet Handa will you go out with me' he said while dancing with her, she immediately wanted to answer an yes. Wait, did he just call her Geet Handa, how could he possibly know who she was. No one knew here, does that mean it was all pretence, he followed her around because he knew she was rich. Like all boys he too was after her money, no no no her heart shouted but her mind silenced the beating heart.

'No' she answered quickly grabbing her purse and walking out the restaurant. For the first time she thought someone loved her for who she was, but no he too was after her fame.

Maan was shocked, he thought she liked him. He spent the next hour taking his frustration out on the furniture, but when he cooled down he realised maybe it was too early for her to move onto someone new, she did just break up with her fiance. He should talk to her before its too late.

'Papa can you pick me up' Geet cried over the phone, her father assured her that he would be there soon. It was 10 in the night in Italy, so in the UK it was only 11 she assumed. She did want to disturb her father's sleep but right now she needed him, she lost the love her life and at that thought she started crying bitterly. Geet waited in the lobby in her distorted state again, Deja vu but this time she knew her heart would never mend. Maan was her first and last love in every sense.

'Where is Geet Handa' Maan shouted to the receptionist, when he came back he noticed her room locked. After enquiring he found out that Geet came and rushed off somewhere, Deepika informed him how she tried to stop Geet who was in a bad shape but Geet heard none.

'Sir she left after settling her account' notified the receptionist. How could she leave without a word, he was wrong she never liked him, if she did she would have talked to him once before leaving, didn't the time they spent together mean anything to her.

'sir she left a letter for you' the receptionist handed over the envelope which Maan thrust in his pocket too pained to think of anything.

'Darling what have you done to yourself' Mohinder said once he reached the Handa hotel in Italy, his daughter never looked so broken as she did now. One touch and she would disseminate, who ever was the cause would have to pay big time; the father in him threatened. After calling her father she hailed a cab and made her way to their hotel wanting some privacy, also it would be easier for her father to get to her since it was closer to the airport.

'Papa I don't want to be here anymore, Papa please take me home' she cried into his chest, her father smothered her into a bear hug. Each tear was piercing a hole in his heart. Geet immediately went to her bedroom once they arrived in their Mansion, throughout their journey back to London she was crying holding onto her father who let his daughter weep. Geet was grateful for their private plane hence getting home much sooner then usual. She was tired, shattered and heart broken, she felt huge amounts of pain in her heart. Could she be having a heart attack, obviously no but she knew she lost her heart to that man. Who was probably hunting another mate for himself right now. Never her heart screeched, but if he loved her would he not come behind her after she felt him at the restaurant, her brain argued. In the tug of war between her heart and mind, Geet let her brain win the final battle. He never truly loved her, if he did then right now she would have been in his arms.

However in Italy, Maan was in his own zone, could she be that selfish, the papers were right about her, he concluded. She didn't think once before crushing his heart. She's not worth it he told his battered heart whish was not willing to listen to anything, but with time he'll get over her, he convinced himself. The very next day he left for Delhi, not wanting to remember anything about her. To be as far away as possible, to go back to his life which resided in Delhi.

So there they were Railing away from each other, building a fence around their hearts. But was it that simple to run away from true love. A broken women who took the support of a train journey to escape her feelings. Fell deeply in love with a man from that same journey, who taught her the true meaning of love; who rebuilt her, making her stronger then ever. Could they meet again, should they meet again. Maybe in another part of the world, in another mode of transport. They say 'if you truly love someone then you should set it free and if it comes back to you, its truly yours'. So lets see if Maan and Geet ever come together to form Maaneet.

Part 2 (middle) - Soaring Heights page 6
Part 3 (ending) - Sailing Hapiness page 9

Note: Ok that was more than 4000 words, so your feedback would be highly appreciated. Since this part focused more on Geet, the Next 'Soaring Heights' would be based on Maan. Can you guess where they would meet next, which transport would they use. Guess! Should be fun to know your answers. Anyways like I mentioned how many parts this OS has is only dependant upon Likes and Comments. Next part 'flying' your way soon.
