Part 28

He didn't think he could afford to break his heart again. And not with Geet. She was 100 times the Nt was. Many times the woman he ever wanted! And he was afraid he would hurt that many more times if she broke his heart. And his heart... was the one thing he had left which seemed to deceive him now.

He reached forward and gave her a kiss on the lips. Suddenly her arms tightened around him, she kissed him back. She came over him and kissed him thoroughly.

Geet - Good morning

He smiled. He softly stroked her cheek and pushed the strands behind her ears - Good morning.

She smiled at him mischievously and then all of a sudden she was on top of him and she was kissing him hungrily. The fire inside him ignited again and soon, she was screaming his name at the gates of nirvana.

When they woke up again, it was already nine in the morning.

Geet - so what are you plans today

Maan - I think chacha ji planning on golf

Geet - I think we ladies..Maan interrupted .. don't you have work today

Geet - not when you are in town

Maan - no, that won't be right.

Geet - shhh placed her finger on his lips

Maan - seriously Geet what is up with you? How come you don't have any dates or normal life. You can date any damn person on earth... anyone like Aryan. Why are you wasting your time on me?

Geet kissed him - may be because I never felt like this before.. She said leaning forward and kissing him - I meant us.. This..

Maan sighed - you are still The Geet Handa

Geet - so

Maan - So we will never work. Someday we'll drift apart from each other and I will lose you... and I don't want that, Geet. I would rather have you as a friend and know that I can call you or see you once in a while than lose you forever.

Geet - but u never call me

Maan - You have .. grown too dear to me. So we cannot insist on making this real. And besides... I'm not ready to commit myself just yet.

Geet sighed and somehow he detected a hint of frustration in her. She stared at him

Geet - so until then we'll just be friends

Maan - we will always be... just friends.

Geet teased him yet again - for your information, friends don't do what we did last night and this morning

Maan was turning red - that was a slip and Geet really we have to stop

She leaned forward and gave him a kiss on the lips. He kissed her back. When she pulled away

Geet - yeah, good luck with that. He took both her hands and pinned them at the top of her head. She struggled, but he was too strong for her. Then he leaned forward and kissed her again thoroughly. And then they were both lost again after that.

When it was over they both stared at each other thoughtfully.

Maan - I am serious Geet we have to stop

Maan - ok until the end of this trip

Geet hugged him - anything for you

Geet managed to sneak back into her room without making a big deal.

The whole day ladies hung out together jiji joined them with the kids. The whole house was filled with laughter. The men spend the better part of the day playing golf. Maan and Geet took off for a drive later in the day.

Geet - I want to show you something

Geet drived around some beautiful houses. Maan being in the business was lost in the intricates. She kept looking at him

Maan - what happened

Geet - there is lot of opportunity to build on this side of the country

Maan didn't quite understand what she was hinting at first

Geet - why don't you open a branch here

Maan - u mean here in California?

She nodded thoughtfully

Maan - I just started my venture Geet. I haven't really made much profit. What ever I make it goes to my investors

Geet - but you are really doing well

He shook his head - I feel I am still working under them.. I need pay them off

Geet took a deep breath - I'm sure you can convince your investor

Maan - maybe, only after I pay them in full.

She continued to drive around the beautiful side off the busy city

Maan - and moreover if I branch out, then I will have to travel between NYC & California like you.

She stopped the car in the side & stared into his eyes - exactly and without giving him time to react, she leaned forward and kissed him.

Thats when it all sunk in.. oh !!

He remained silent rest of the drive. It was all way too soon and too much to take in.

Parents seemed little tensed when Maan-Geet came back home. Maan knew exactly what it could be.

He went and spoke to his family and learned Nt and Dev are also visiting California. For some strange reason it didn't bother him. He just walked into his room.

Daadi looked at Geet. She nodded and just followed him to the room. He stood by the balcony looking further into nothing in particular. He wondered why everyone was still concerned. All that sympathetic look on their faces.

Suddenly, he felt arms wrap around him from behind. She kissed his back gently.

Geet - you want to talk

Maan sighed - I don't even know what to say. My family feels bad that Dev and Nt are coming here.

Geet - how do you feel?

Maan - frankly nothing

He turned around to face her so he could look into her eyes. Who are you Geet? The business tycoon Geet Handa, or the girl Geet who flew with me to India to save me from the hell

Geet - I am just Geet Handa, who would do anything for you

He leaned down and kissed her gently. After the kiss, he sighed and gave her a hug. She leaned her head on his shoulder.

He closed his eyes and inhaled her sweet scent.

What ever she was she was his anchor. And she was becoming more precious to him each second. He wished he was ready to jump into a new relationship. He wished Nt hadn't made him feel he would never be good enough to date anyone. He wished Nt hadn't taught him to be so cautious in relationships. He wished Geet was just a simple girl who would rather hold his heart in her hands than the world full of power and fame. He wished things were just as easy. He wished this moment with Geet would be frozen for eternity. Right here. Right now, where he was not afraid to open up his heart again... here, where they were at the same plate. So he wouldn't have to worry about broken hearts or shattered dreams.

He just pressed her closer - can you stay like this forever?

She held him tighter - can you stay like this forever?

Maan sighed - oh Geet we are so complicated

She shook his head - no u r complicated Maan. Me, I know what I want. It's you who has to figure out what you want.

Maan sounded defeated - you can't really want me

She sounded so determined - but I do.. God, I want you... so much

There was frustration laced in her voice

Oh her face looked so cute.. Those lines just didn't suit her.. He looked down at her - Geet I am just not ready yet and even if I were, I'm afraid you are more than I can handle.

Geet punched him softly - I want to kill whoever made you like this

Maan - lets just be friends Geet.. no complications

When he looked into her eyes.. All he could see was defeat.. Geet Handa.. Probably no one ever has seen her like this. Then instantly there was this spark in her eyes.. Hain.. u r still in California.. And we have this week end.. She just like that kissed him pushing him to the bed.

She never gave up.

Before leaving Maans parents invited Geet and her parents to visit them.

wow 3 updates in raw? well done, love geet's determination as geet handa says she gets what she likes, and maan slowly flows in her charm, he cant resist himself physically but still reluctant to accept her as whole as for him she is handa girl, very rich, can get anything she wish for, very ambicious the way nt was, so he thinks she will also break his heart they way nt broke his, but here he forgets main point of break up that she was trying to get close with him but he refuse which piced of her and went to his brother and broke maan's heart purposly to show him how her charm works, and that has kept very deep impect on maan's heart and in alcohole effect he force geet for which he regret and ready to marry her, where as she said it is too early to take decision of marriage, she was wanted him to fullfill his dream and come out as styrong determind person keeping his past away and plus she wants him as whole not just physically and so she is waiting till he realise he loves her ,or in real he fell in love with her.

Loved how geet tried to convince maan to get in a relationship but maan can do everything with her,not wan keep himself in a relationship.want to see,how much patience geet has
