Geet is hurting. And I think she will always hurt no matter what. She will move on, be happy, heal, possibly even forgive and forget with time and hurt less every time she thinks back to her relationship with Dev. But a part of her - however tiny it might be - will always hurt. Dev's betrayal and the treatment and circumstances of it were cruel to say the least. Especially how she found out. And ending a relationship where you give your 100% but don't even get the deserved respect and appreciation in any form for the same does break one. Geet is feeling exactly that.

Also, it was sad when she said Dev never noticed the little things in her that Maan has. Just in a couple of days. Did she really never laughed so openly and freely in the last 10 years while she was with Dev? What type of relationship is that, if true.

The vulnerability in her was heartbreaking. She was feeling way too down. But in a way I'm glad she cried and gave this night to herself to loosen up and just cry over her fate, life and the things she missed and the things that she thought were her past, present and future.

Maan was also emotional seeing Geet and he had get a grip on his feelings. Both knows there is some strong connection between them but while Geet seems to be bit confused, Maan seems to already know but just can't acknowledge it now as it will only complicate things further for them.

And I was genuinely surprised when he said that he thinks prolly he never was in love with Sam to begin with. Now that's just plain sad. I don't know if I agree with him there. Yes, one can fall out of love but that doesn't mean they did not love at all. Perhaps he loved Sam for a brief moment, but he did love her, right? I hope he doesn't believe in that stupid saying "true love" cos that term sounds good in books. In reality I don't think something call true love exist and it's clich.

Also, he said, he realised what love entitles and that is accepting a person with all their flaws and when in spite of a heartbreak you feel strong enough to let go and start over with them. Okay, maybe from his perspective he is right. But does that mean, the ones who couldn't forgive or forget and weren't strong enough to start fresh, didn't love at all? So what if he wasn't strong enough to forgive Sam or strong enough to resist the temptation that he gave into that night to spend it with Geet? Did it mean he never ever loved Sam even for a single moment in the past 5 years that he has known and been with Sam? I don't know, I could be wrong, but I do think he loved Sam, in whatever small part or however brief it might have been, but he did. And I think Geet and Dev did as well. And probably even Naintara loves her husband, no?

Anyway, Annie Arjun were a surprise. Curious to know what went wrong in their relationship and why Annie doesn't believe in giving second chance to him when he said she is equally blamed for whatever happened. And Annie obviously isn't over him. So ego is the first issue I noticed between them in this update. Waiting to know more on them.

Also the whole Maan related comment where I said, "so what if he wasn't strong enough to resist the temptation with Geet" line sounds as if I said that very casually. But that's not what I meant. Just to clarify, all I wanted to say was that he must have loved Sam. That's it. What he and Geet did was just as wrong as Dev and Meera. Else I'd be a hypocrite.

Hi Sanjana, As usual you never disappoint me with your comments. So First of all thank you for such detailed comment. Now let me see if I can answer your queries.
You are right. Geet's scar are way too deep and she can never truly get over them. Time heals almost everything but there are things even time can't heal. But the hurt might lessen to a point when it is just a dull ache in her heart and maybe then she would move on and be happy.
About Dev not noticing little things, its sad but sometimes do happen in reality. Seeing and noticing are two different things. You don't notice everything you see. And maybe Dev was never capable of cherishing Geet. And Maan and Geet have some special connection.
Maan does have feelings but he knows he can't express them. Not everyone has the luxery of saying what they feel out loud. I won't say much about Maan and Sam except that you don't let the one you love go easily. The fact that they let go each other so easily means that they loved each other but were not in love with each other. I am not sure how to tell you about the difference in both the feelings except that the difference is very subtle. If you have seen 'notebook' movie I guess you would know what I am talking about. In a world where noah didn't exist Allie and lon would have been perfectly happy cause they love each other. But Noah existed and what Noah and Allie had was so deep that lon and Allie never stood a chance. Sam and Maan loved each other but they can never have that inescapable passion that being in love entails. I guess you need to experience the emotions to understand. But it does exist even outside books and movies. I have felt it so I know what I am talking about.😊

Oh he loved sam like Dev loved Geet and Naintara loves her husband. But when you find that one person you can truly be yourself with as if like he gets you then you are in love and nothing, no amount of distance, absence or time can create a dent in that emotion.
Annie and Aarjun just came to me as I was writing. I am not sure what they are going to be right now. And then there is vicky. I hope you enjoy the coming updates.

Part 19 - Indeed it was a night to remember' for maan. Geet was already drunk so she might not remember few things. But I feel she will certainly remember few things about maan, how he was so caring about her or muskan, how he brought muskan near to her, how he supported her emotionally when she needed him.

His answer to geet's question about his love for sameera, it explains he fell out of love with sameera even when they were married. He did not say about when he realized that he knew the diff bet he loves' and he is in love'. And I think it started with their one night stand. He actually fell in love with geet but he could not say it to her as she still was going thru her bad phase of betrayal by dev. And she even have to tell this to muskan. I think when she will done with this all and be alone then she will think about all this, her relation with dev, her budding relation with maan.

So annie & arjun had been in relation and with some misunderstanding she broke up but arjun still pursuing her. I liked him calling her esha. Sweet nickname, never thought about it. Now she don't want to go back to him and with new relation with Vicky. Hope she gives him second chance.

It was indeed a night of memories. I am not sure since I haven't written anything about morning after till now but I think Geet might remember some things. You are right about Maan. He does have feelings for Geet or I dare say he had these feelings right from the night they had one night stand. But reality is much more complex. He can't just make his feelings known.

Esha was uncommon. I have always heard Annie or Anwesha and I wanted to have something uncommon. But second chances are not always easy to get. After all she does have Vicky to think about. Even I am not sure what will happen to them but Ii hope you enjoy whatever I come up with.

Loved Brij's story with NT

Being an obedient and devoted son to his parents he sacrificed his love over his parents demand that he still not able to move from his past and endures NT a lot

His confrontation with NT brought the closed up emotions from his heart

Pari too had her own shares if agony and pain written on her fate after losing her husband yash in an accident

Loved the camaraderie she shares with Geet and Brij inspite of her living a colorless life

Geet heart felt light after confronting Dev abt his betrayal yet couldnt trust herself to love again

Maan stood besides geet and her daughter in their new phase of life and endured geet's daughter as his and was feeling his hearts void by pampering her

Maaneet knew that they share something deep inside their heart for each other but are afraid of their past happenings and emotional flow of their hearts

Annie and arjun's angel to added a new dimension to the story

Annie thinks that she loves Vicky and her ex flame Arjun claims to love him!!

It's sometimes better to let go off ur past to lead a peaceful life ahead vowing to time and decision taken!!

Only time can set things into its place in every one's life !!

First of all welcome to this thread!! I am glad you read this and enjoyed it so much. Relationships are very delicate and it breaks with just little mistakes and what Dev, meera, Sam or even Maan for that matter did was huge. But sometimes letting go makes us embrace the best things in our life. Maybe all this broken people will have someone who would stitch them whole again. Annie and Arjun were unplanned addition but I hope they will add something good to this story. I hope you enjoy the coming updates as well.
