An emotional and heartbreaking update.
Geet is hurting. And I think she will always hurt no matter what. She will move on, be happy, heal, possibly even forgive and forget with time and hurt less every time she thinks back to her relationship with Dev. But a part of her - however tiny it might be - will always hurt. Dev's betrayal and the treatment and circumstances of it were cruel to say the least. Especially how she found out. And ending a relationship where you give your 100% but don't even get the deserved respect and appreciation in any form for the same does break one. Geet is feeling exactly that.
Also, it was sad when she said Dev never noticed the little things in her that Maan has. Just in a couple of days. Did she really never laughed so openly and freely in the last 10 years while she was with Dev? What type of relationship is that, if true.
The vulnerability in her was heartbreaking. She was feeling way too down. But in a way I'm glad she cried and gave this night to herself to loosen up and just cry over her fate, life and the things she missed and the things that she thought were her past, present and future.
Maan was also emotional seeing Geet and he had get a grip on his feelings. Both knows there is some strong connection between them but while Geet seems to be bit confused, Maan seems to already know but just can't acknowledge it now as it will only complicate things further for them.
And I was genuinely surprised when he said that he thinks prolly he never was in love with Sam to begin with. Now that's just plain sad. I don't know if I agree with him there. Yes, one can fall out of love but that doesn't mean they did not love at all. Perhaps he loved Sam for a brief moment, but he did love her, right? I hope he doesn't believe in that stupid saying "true love" cos that term sounds good in books. In reality I don't think something call true love exist and it's clich.
Also, he said, he realised what love entitles and that is accepting a person with all their flaws and when in spite of a heartbreak you feel strong enough to let go and start over with them. Okay, maybe from his perspective he is right. But does that mean, the ones who couldn't forgive or forget and weren't strong enough to start fresh, didn't love at all? So what if he wasn't strong enough to forgive Sam or strong enough to resist the temptation that he gave into that night to spend it with Geet? Did it mean he never ever loved Sam even for a single moment in the past 5 years that he has known and been with Sam? I don't know, I could be wrong, but I do think he loved Sam, in whatever small part or however brief it might have been, but he did. And I think Geet and Dev did as well. And probably even Naintara loves her husband, no?
Anyway, Annie Arjun were a surprise. Curious to know what went wrong in their relationship and why Annie doesn't believe in giving second chance to him when he said she is equally blamed for whatever happened. And Annie obviously isn't over him. So ego is the first issue I noticed between them in this update. Waiting to know more on them.
Also the whole Maan related comment where I said, "so what if he wasn't strong enough to resist the temptation with Geet" line sounds as if I said that very casually. But that's not what I meant. Just to clarify, all I wanted to say was that he must have loved Sam. That's it. What he and Geet did was just as wrong as Dev and Meera. Else I'd be a hypocrite.
