Chapter 14

So I guessed it right. Maan didn't know about Muskaan and I was glad he didn't judge her for hiding the fact that she was a mother.

I liked their interaction. I won't call them strangers. Cos even at first meet they shared about their deepest darkest secrets that they won't be telling others. They instantly connected with each other in ways that it takes lifetime for even some married couple. They have immense respect for each other since the start. Both know they were wrong and yet there is a sense of what they shared being right that they can't truly regret that it happened.

Also, I agree with Maan. Forgiving is not easy. No matter what, it takes lots of strength and courage to let go. And it's been only 6-8 months. Give him some time. He will get around it. Just like Geet will.

Also, I really don't know how Muskaan would react to seeing Maan instead of Dev. A part of me thinks, it's too soon. They're rushing it and this is absolutely wrong way of spilling about divorce to a six year old in the presence of an unknown man. And but another part says, she is a child. She wouldn't even comprehend what a divorce is and what it implicates. Her innocent mind won't catch upon the usual judgemental mindset about the fact that her mother is divorced and has now come to pick her up with another man. A man with whom she already shares a history with. So it should be okay. But once she comes of age and starts thinking back and connect all the dots, won't she be angry? I don't know what type of relationship she shares with Dev. But if she is close to Dev then wouldn't her little heart hate seeing her mother with another man?

Chapter 15

Gosh! I'm so loving the way their journey is going. First they had walls build around them. Then they finally broached the subject of their past and had a little heart to heart. Then again they went back in their shells and two plates of momos got them back to having some light hearted chats. No heaviness or emotional ones. But ones we have with our new friends.

What I love the most was that they both aren't playing dumb about the attraction they share. They know it's there as it would have been totally silly if they didn't acknowledge it yet given they're both experienced people. They know what it likes to be attracted to someone, to have that connection, to be in love. They both have experienced it for however long or short period it might have been. But it was there. So I liked there is no typical confusion btw them instead there is acknowledgement and awareness. But they aren't ready for it cos of all the obvious reasons. And I do feel they shouldn't be jumping into another relationship so fast when they are yet to let go of their past ones. It would be unfair to them and the bond they already share. They sure need time else they would just complicate things more. They are insecure, there is apprehension and inhibitions. Their hearts needs to be healed at least in some way for them to take a chance again.

I was glad they talked about it. And let it be. For now Muskaan just needs her mother. And Geet surely doesn't need another relationship so soon when she is on the threshold of being a single mother now.

Part 16

So Muskaan and Maan met. And as any innocent child would welcome a stranger presence introduced by either of your parents, she accepted Maan.

Maan already feels that fatherly love towards Muskaan since he has realized that he wanted a child of his own. So it came far more naturally to him to be playful around her and let his guard down.

But the more time MG are spending they are realizing the seriousness of it. Geet obviously can't let Maan get attached to Muskaan. She has already lost a father's constant presence that every child deserves, so Geet's protective instincts are natural. She can't risk breaking Muskaan's little heart. She can't risk her daughter being vulnerable to anyone new if that person plans on leaving.

Maan wants to spends time with Muskaan as she is filling the void left in his heart and soul but what after that? Of course since this is a story I know where all this is leading to, but will he be able to accept Dev as Muskaan's father if he and Geet does decide to take that leap of faith for themselves? Will he be satisfied filling the role of a step father in Muskaan's life? I know there is a long way to go for that. But I can't help worry cos here an innocent life is attached to their lives. They will have to contemplate and think through their decisions so as to not harm Muskaan in any way. Like Geet said she can't be irrational like she was that night. She was able to forget Muskaan for a time being and be selfish but now she has bigger responsibilities.

My heart goes out to Paris the most I think. There are people who let go of their love so easily and then there is Pari who I think would give away the world to get a single moment with Yash. Life is so full of irony.

Yeah, his story has finally been out and like Geet I truly felt it was more disgusting than what I had initially assumed. My guess that Meera was always in love with Dev came true. So I wasn't surprised. But that did make me angry cos it means she purposely came btw the couple. I want to know why she came to stay in Darjeeling when she knew she has feelings for Dev? Shouldn't a girl avoid a man who is happily married to your best friend and who has a daughter? Her betrayal is far more worse. She went to stay with her parents in Delhi and Dev started visiting Delhi frequently for business purposes. Did they meet there? Cos Dev said he tried not to fall for Meera. And that made me want to know if visiting Delhi was strictly business or did it become personal?

And his thoughts of having a dependent wife cracked me up. So is Meera is a submissive girl? Who isn't independent? Or is it that she is not that great as Geet? Cos Dev made it sound like Geet was too good for him. Too prefect. Which makes me wonder about Meera's personality and character strength now. Dev has inferior complexity with Geet cos she too awesome of a woman. That made him crave for a woman with whom he can feel equal. So basically his male ego couldn't take that his wife was a good person. A good wife. Good mother. Good friend. Has a career. Helps people and stays with them in their crisis. He really is an idiot then. Gosh! People turn old searching for such woman and here he got one but sadly didn't know how to treasure her. He was one lucky bas***d who made himself unlucky. But he did a big favour on Geet. As now she will get a mam who will love her for herself. For the amazing woman that she is and cherish her. Dev's loss really.

Also, even though Dev and Meera weren't physically cheating Geet. They did cheat on her emotional level. Meera by hiding her true feelings for so long. Dev by hiding them for so many years when if he wanted he could gone and be truthful and honest about it and all this mess would have been avoided. The heartache that Geet suffered would have been avoided. And maybe Geet would have that respect for him at least as a father of her child had he come and talk. But now he has lost even that. He has lost a best friend too. Pity.

Dev guessed Maan to be the man with whom Geet was. And now he has entered Muskaan's life as well. And since this update revealed how insecure Dev had always been and how low he thought of himself, would he feel inferior complexity around Maan now? Cos sure as hell that man has already made a home in Muskaan's heart. How will Dev take that if couldn't take his own wife's strong individuality? I'm so curious about that now.
