Part 9

Dev as walking up from his room towards Geet's room, it was his long time desire to see Geet's sleep look in the morning, and as Dhar ji asked them to stay here with the guests, Dev didn't want to miss the chance and went towards Geet's room, which was opened, and Dev smiled big thanking his luck and went inside just to find the bed empty, "Geet, this early, where did she go," Dev thought and looked inside the room, but she was not there,

And as Dev came out, he stopped as he heard Geet's voice from the other room nearby and Dev went and peeped in, "enough I am tired of this" Geet shouted and Dev got shocked to see Maan there, "me too, I am not a fool to believe this" Maan shouted, "Don't create a scene now" Geet said, "I am creating a scene ah" Maan shouted back, "what's happening" Dev entered and stood near Geet, "ah, here comes the Hero" Maan commented and Geet started to cry, "Dev, look at him na, he is blaming me, that I am trying to cheat him"

"Tell him that I am not responsible for the marriage talks," Geet said crying up and Dev looked at Maan with his wide eyes, "hmm, yes, yes, Geet doesn't know about this, It was an family decision" Dev said, "Family decision," Maan hovered up, "enough of the drama," Maan said, "it's not a drama" Geet said, "oh, really, then come on, let's go away from here now and get married" Maan said and Dev looked shocked and his mind started to work fast for an plan,

"No," Geet's sudden voice stopped Dev and made him to look at her, "I can't put my family's fame into shame, by running away with you" Geet said firmly and an big smile appeared on Dev's face, "oh, you would destroy your family's fame, but can destroy my love ah" Maan yelled, "Maan, I love you, but I love my family more" Geet said crying, "enough, you and your family, you love your family right, ok, then marry this Canadian and make your family happy,"

"And, leave me alone," Maan said, "Dev" Geet looked at Dev with her pleading eyes, "Maan, relax, we will sort out" Dev said slowly but wished Maan should go away forever, "You even sort out, I am going back to the camp in Kashmir, it's better to fight with the people I hate in the battle than with the people I love" Maan said, "have her for yourself, and hold her safe, good bye" Maan said and went away and Geet cried up and dropped on her knees,

Dev seeing this, thought he was hit by an jackpot chance and held her slowly, "it's ok Geet, I understand, Maan will come back" Dev said, and Geet pulled from him and looked at Dev, "Dev, you are so nice, you are doing everything to make me close to Maan and he, he doesn't even think of that, I am tired of this Dev, I am tired, there was only misunderstanding between us and I am tired of explaining every time, and I know now, he is too much anger and will not listen to me" Geet cried up

"I told you right, that once he decided he will never change up, and I guess he decided up now, he can't be changed" Geet said crying up and Dev try to held her, "Dev, enough, I am done with Maan" Geet said and stood up and so as Dev, Geet wiped her tears and looked at Dev, "Dev, I know it's too much to ask, you know everything about me, so can I ask you something" Geet asked, "Anything Geet" Dev said smiling big, "Will you Marry me and take me with you to Canada, I don't want to be here"

"I know, for any guy it's an most difficult thing, to accept an girl who loved another guy, but I promise to change myself, will you marry me, atleast for my family, please," Geet asked and Dev was not sure whether he was hearing it right or dreaming up, "Ofcourse Geet, ofcourse, anything for you, I am ready to do anything for you, but isn't so fast, don't you want to wait a bit," Dev asked slowly, "No Dev, not anymore, when there is no trust in a relationship, what's the use of hold it in your hand, I decided, but it's your wish in the end" Geet said,

"My wish, my wish is your wish, I will make sure that we get married tomorrow and get back to Canada soon, today even I will make arrangements for passport and Visa" Dev said with a smile, "Thanks Dev, you are my best friend, thank you" Geet said and Dev smiled and went away, "God, is this true, how did I get lucky in overnight," Dev thought, Dev started his process to get Geet's passport and visa the same day, and they said it will take some time, atleast a week or so,

It was evening 5.00, when Dev came to the Handa Mansion, and was jumping with joy as Dhar ji and Geet's family had accepted Dev's proposal of Marrying Geet the next day, in a simple manner and as all the relatives who came for the engagement were still there in the village, and the decorations were still on, they decided to give in for the sudden marriage and Dev was going crazy when he heard Geet too said an ok for it, now he believed her fully,

Dev went to Geet's room and Geet was sitting there with a smile, "Geet" Dev went near, Dhar ji, said an yes to our marriage and tomorrow is our Marriage, I can't believe this" Dev said, and Geet smiled, "so am I" Geet said as she went near him, "Dev, after marriage I don't want to live here anymore, take me to Canada" Geet said, and Dev smiled big, and explained that there might be some delay, "But don't worry Geet, I will take you to Mumbai once our marriage is over, my friend is there to help" Dev said and Geet smiled an ok,

"just now, feeling light, Dev can you do one thing for me" Geet asked and Dev nodded up, "Take me to the Gurdwara now" Geet asked, "Oh, I need to pray that there must be no more disturbance in my marriage, so only, please, and if I tell anyone else to take me, no one will, but if you say they will all accept it" Geet said and Dev thought for a second, "Please Dev" Geet said Making his heart melt away and he nodded an yes and took her down with him, "Dhar ji" Dev called up and he looked at Dev and Geet,

"Dhar ji, can I take Geet to the Golden temple" Dev asked slowly, "at this time, and also everyone is busy in their work, so no one to accompany you," Dhar ji said, "no problem, will take care, and also now our engagement is over right, and tomorrow we are going to get married so I guess, there will not be any problem," Dev said, and Dhar ji, thought for a second, "Ok, but come back soon" he said and Dev and Geet nodded and went away,

As Dev and Geet reached the golden temple, Geet went and got the puja thali and come up and Dev and Geet walked up into the temple, "Dev, here, go and give this to Baba ji and pray that my marriage should not have any problem" Geet said and Dev too went inside, Dev went in and prayed and did all the Puja and came out and looked around and found Geet was missing there and he got tensed and started searching for her, "No, No, did she fooled me and run away" Dev thought feeling tensed,

"Dev" Geet's voice made him turn around and saw Geet smiling at him, "what happened, did you pray well, can we go" Geet asked and Dev relaxed a bit and nodded and went away, and then they both went home and she smiled up and went and joined her family. There were a lots of rituals as the marriage was tomorrow, the night was very busy and Dev was drooling over Geet and was feeling ultimately lucky, the night went well in the Handa Mansion,

The next morning shinnied big and Dev didn't sleep all night, and it was ordered that Dev was not suppose to Meet Geet till they say so, and Dev too accepted it and in one corner of the mansion was made the guys side and Dev and his family and relatives was there, while in the other end Geet's family was busy with decorations, the rituals and prayers where going in both ended and it looked so messy and noisy,

It was almost 7.00 pm when Geet walked into Dhar ji's room with her bridal wear, Dhar ji's eyes filled up seeing Geet in the Bridal wear and smiled big, but Breej there saw the tension in Geet face, "What is it" Breej asked roughly scaring Geet to death, but Geet didn't answer, "Geet, I asked what happened" Breej asked again, "Geet" Geet's mom called up and dad and her aunty and uncle along with Breej's wife and Rachi came up, "Dhar ji" Geet said joining her hands and stood before them, "I am sorry" Geet said,

"Sorry, for what dear" Geet mom asked, "for what I had done," Geet said, "Dhar ji, Maa, Papa, Veer ji, I can't marry Dev" Geet said shocking everyone to the core, "What," Dhar ji shouted up, "Geet, did you turn crazy or what" Breej jumped out, "All our relatives and guest are outside waiting for your marriage and now you are saying that you can't marry Dev," Breej jumped up as he held her arms, and Geet stood calm, and was looking down, "sorry Veer ji, but I can't" Geet said firmly,

"Why in the hell is that" Breej yelled as he pushed Geet forcefully, Geet too trembled up and lost her balance but safely landed in Maan's arms, everyone was shocked to see Maan, his dad and the head Pundits' of the Gurdwara, whom Dhar ji and the whole village treats as God's own man, "Because" Maan started as he made Geet stand up near him, "Because Geet is my wife, we got married yesterday in the gurdwara before pandit ji with his blessings" Maan said shocking everyone there, an silence prevailed there for a minute, "Rabba, what is happening here" Geet's mom cried up breaking the silence, and Maan stepped forward,

"I know what we did is wrong, but we were forced, I thought to speak with you and make you understand but it was too late," Maan said, "Maan" Breej hovered up on him and hit him hard on his face, and then hit him up on his stomach, "Veer ji" Geet tried to stop him but Maan stopped her, "Geet, stay away, Breej, I know how you will feel now as an brother, but I never wished to do this, until everything went out of hand" Maan said and Breej's anger hit his brain and held Maan's collar and pulled him up, "I will kill you up, right away and marry my sister to Dev" Breej said and pushed Maan away, and went and dragged a sword and rushed towards Maan,

"Breej" Dhar ji stopped him, "Have you lost it, our guests are outside," he warned him, "Maan, if you are this responsible, why the hell didn't you say this before, and Geet, why didn't you tell us before and why did you accept the engagement" Dhar ji roared up, "Because Dev said to do so," Geet said and everyone in the room looked at her shocked, "Dev" Geet's mom asked, "yes," Geet said wiping her tears and then Geet said everything what happened on the Terrance that day, "What the hell were you thinking" Dhar ji shouted up,

"Do you think Marriage and the ritual are just for fun, everything has its own values, it's not your game, it's life" Dhar ji shouted and Geet looked down crying up, "Rano, go and call, Dev and his family here, and be careful that no one should get any doubt" he said and she nodded and went away, and everyone there stood silent, except for Breej who was roaring up in anger, "oh, that's why Dev took Geet to Gurdwara alone yesterday ah" Breej roared. In a few minutes, Dev and his family came up and Dev got shocked to see Maan there, "what happened, Dhar ji" Dev asked slowly,

"Enough Dev, I told everything to Dhar ji," Geet said and Dev looked confused and looked at Maan and Geet, "Dev, did you know about Maan and Geet and what happened yesterday" Dhar ji asked and Dev looked at Geet, who nodded an yes, "Yes Dhar ji, I know," Dev said and in a second he was on the floor, with the strong blow on his face, "how dare you, who the hell are you to get my sister Married" Breej jumped on to him, and Geet's dad and Uncle stopped him, Dev felt confused and looked at Geet and at her family, "Married" Dev asked,

"Don't act up now too, we trusted you and send our girl with you but you stabbed us on the back by getting Geet to marry this, Maan," Breej asked shocking Dev to the core, "No Breej, no Dhar ji, no, Geet is not married to him, they were just loving each other," Dev said turning confused, "They didn't get married, Geet wants to marry me, we are going to get married," Dev said smiling up yet feeling confused his mind was going crazy now, "what the hell is happening here, can anyone tell the truth" Dhar ji shouted up,

"Ji, Me and Geet are married, we had our marriage at Gurdwara yesterday in front of the head Pandit and his team and with his blessings, you can ask them," Maan said and the Head pandit came front who was watching the mess here silently till now, "Ran Pratap Singh ji" Head pandit spoke and everyone turned silent, "this child is saying the truth, he and Geet married before us only," he said shocking everyone but breaking Dev's soul up, "I know it's not fair to marry against your parents, but it's a sin to separate two hearts in love, and for Rab ji everyone children of him should live an happy life, in their own way"

"So only, I accepted their request and got them married" he said, "Geet, you cheated me, you cheated me" Dev shouted suddenly feeling crazy, "And what did you do with her, you even after knowing that she loves me, you try to cheat her and trap her into this marriage," Maan said and Dev looked at Geet, "No, No, No," Dev shouted up, and suddenly hovered over Geet and pushed her down, "Geet" Maan freaked out and went towards her and held her up and made her standing up, and when he turned around, he was shocked to see Breej holding his sword on Dev's throat,

Everyone looked shocked specially Maan and Geet, "How dare you touch my sister, before me," Breej roared shocking Geet, "Breej" Dhar ji and Dev's mom called up, "No Dhar ji, how dare he touched Geet, before my eyes, she is my sister and I will not let anyone harm my sister before my eyes, I will cut his throat off" Breej roared and for the first time Geet looked at Breej and felt an affection as an brother, "why the hell you care, you yourself beat her up," Dev said between his teeth,

"Idiot, She is my sister, and it's my responsibility to stop her, punish her when I feel she is doing something wrong, that's for her goodness, I am her brother and she my sister and I love her, and I will never leave you alive for touching my sister," Breej roared up as he pushed his sword to his throat slightly, cutting the skin slightly, "Breej leave him dear, I beg you, please" Dev's mom suddenly fall on Breej's leg, "Breej, leave him, our guests are still outside, so stop it now" Dhar ji said and Breej looked at Dev and Dhar ji and throw the sword away and turned back, "Breej" Dev shouted as he raised his hand and before he could touch Breej, he was on the ground now, but this time, it was Maan, who hit him hard,

Dev then got up and hovered on Maan but Breej held him from behind, locking both his hands, and Dev shouted like an crazy guy, "Geet is mine, I will not leave her, it's been more than six years, I need her, I need her, she is mine" Dev shouted trying to pull from Breej's hold and Maan hit him hard on his face, "Please, please" Dev's mom and sister came before Maan and joined hand and got on their knees, "please, leave him, we will go back" she pleaded and Maan immediately pulled Dev's mom up,

" please don't do like this, I am sorry mummy ji, I know you didn't have anything to do with this, but still we hurt you, and I only can ask your forgiveness, if not for Dev, we would have said everything the next day even, I am so sorry" Maan said as he bend down to touch her feet, "No dear, no, now seeing Dev's behavior I thinking what had happened, was happened for Good" she said, "what the hell are you speaking Maa, no, Geet can't be anyone else, she is mine, stop this maa, I need Geet, I will die without her" Dev screamed, and Breej felt his hands turning tired or Dev getting strong,

"Maan" suddenly Breej called Maan, "get my guys now, I can't hold him for long" Breej said and Maan rushed up and came soon with Breej's gang and Breej hand over Dev to them, "guys, lock him inside the store room, and make sure no noise is coming up, and don't touch him, he is still family" Breej said looking at Dev's mom and his guys held Dev and pulled him away, "No, No, leave me, Geet is mine, leave me" Dev shouted up as he true to free himself and after he was gone, the place turned silent again, except for Dev's mom and sister's silent tears and Geet's mom's tears,

"What to do with the guests now, Dhar ji, if we tell the truth the no one will marry another girl from our family, and" Breej asked tensed, "I decided," Dhar ji said, as he walked up, "I know Maan and Geet had married up, but now, I want them to tie the knot up before all our relatives, and family, by this our relatives will attended the marriage," Dhar ji said, "But Dhar ji" Breej asked shocked, "if we like or not Geet is married to Maan, and if this marriage didn't happen, our families fame, name and our girl future will be destroyed" Dhar ji said,

"Still everyone know Dev is the groom, what will we tell them" Breej asked, "Don't worry, I will tell them that Dev's character was not nice and so you changed the groom in the last minute, if I say this, no one will make any buzz," Dev's mom said, "Mummy ji" Maan looked at her, and she smiled up, "you are too like my son only, and this family is still like my family, if not for Dhar ji, I would not have been alive after my husband's death, I owe this family and I know about the village tradition too," she said

Maan held her hand, "I don't know what to say, sorry will not be enough for what had happened to you, but it will be an blessing if you come and bless me, in my mother's place" Maan asked and she hugged him up, "sure," she said, "come on, let's get you ready now" Dev's mom said, "one second" Maan said and went to his papa, "Sorry Papa" he said slowly, "No Maan, thank you, for bring Geet to our home, I am so happy" he said and Geet smiled and rushed towards him and hugged Maan's dad up, "No dear, no, now we will have lots of talking, gossiping, I am so glad, you are going to be my daughter, and so happy that someone who can handle this hardcore boy is now with me" he said as he pulled Geet and wiped her tears, then Dev's mom took Maan and went away,

After a few minutes, Maan came up as the groom but as his face was cover with flower veil no one noticed any change and then after few minutes Geet came up, she saw Maan sitting there in the Mandap and her eyes filled, "Thank you Baba ji, thank you" she said as she was made to sit near Maan, "Geet" Maan whispered slightly, and Geet leaned closed to him, "Never thought I would marry the girl I hated most" Maan whispered and Geet blushed, "so am I" Geet said,

Then the Pandit called Dhar Ji to do the Kanyadhan, Dhar ji came up and kept his hands on and Geet and Maan kept their hand on his hand, and Geet looked at Dhar ji and her eyes filled up pouring up the tears, she had never dreamed that Dhar ji will do her Kanyadhan with all his heart, she doesn't know whether it's true or not, Her Marriage with Maan, that too before all, with her family, it was like a dream, then Maan kept the sindur on Geet's forehead and she closed her eyes as her tears rolled down and an smile creep on her lips.

Then Maan took the Mangalsutra and tied it on Geet's neck, and they both looked at each other and Geet can see his bright smile inside the flower veil and she blushed high, and glimpse form their first meeting ran before her eyes and everything seems to be so unreal yet beautiful, now she is Maan's Geet, forever, for all seven life's and life's beyond that, and this happiness was unbearable for her, and her tears was flowing down with the smile dazzling her lips,

at last they got married they teach dev a good lesson
in this i like one point very much that in all stories all r showing brij as negative person but u showed his love for geet very nice .
dev mother also get her mistake and support maan
