It's me, Nishi back again with a new piece of writing 😳 This is my second story on Maaneet. Previously I wrote a short story named 'Till daddy comes home.' I was overwhelmed by the great response for my first ever attempt of writing so I decided to write another story. Here goes my new story on Maaneet, a new fanfiction named 'Love will keep us alive.' Prologue

Prologue
The sun was shining brightly in the blue sky spreading the rays of happiness. It was a special day indeed, for 'her'. Another milestone in her life. She turned another year old today. It wasn't an ordinary birthday for her this year. It was the 21st year of her life. A new beginning of another year in her life with new hopes.
'Happy birthday my little miss sunshine.' She was awaken by a gentle voice & a soft kiss placed on her forehead. She opened her eyes slowly, yet sleepy. She was awake whole night & slept pretty late as her friends didn't let her sleep peacefully after the clock struck at 12 in the midnight. First it was her fiance, & then she got back to back birthday wishes from the whole bunch of friends.
She rubbed her eyes. It was her father, her role model standing beside her. 'Thank you so much papa' She hugged him tightly. He kissed his daughter back. He couldn't just believe his little girl has grown up to be a beautiful young lady. She had almost the perfect genes of her parents which made her mesmerizingly beautiful. She had hazel brown eyes & a milky white face which almost made every boy fall for her.
She was lucky indeed, to born to a wealthy family. Her father is a well known business tycoon in Mumbai. She was the apple of his eye. She was the only child in the family & almost had all the comforts. She wasn't an ordinary rich spoiled brat. She had the qualities of her mom & had a charming personality.
She had almost everything in her life except the real happiness her heart wanted. She had to undergo so many hardships after her parents got separated when she was just 10 years old. She never knew what happened between her parents what she saw was the violence between them. Specially her father who was money minded didn't care about the family relationships. Her mother had a calm nature but eventually it was too hard for her to live with him further. She tried so many times for the sake of her baby girl but at the end she decided to go away from their lives.
Her father took the full custody of his daughter after their separation as he didn't like her daughter getting close even with a shadow of his ex wife. He provided everything for his daughter as a protective father but his busy business schedules made him away from her daughter most of the time.
'Papa! please stop calling me little miss sunshine!' 'Hell I'm 21 years old!' 'Don't make me feel awkward' She broke the hug. 'Why not my princess? You are still my little daughter!' He smiled. 'Papa seriously I feel like I'm a 5 year old kid when you call me princess.' She chuckled.
'Hmm.. I thought girls like when their fathers call them princesses' He sighed. That made her sad a little bit. She knew her father loves her the most & same with her she loved him more than anyone in the whole wide world. 'Umm.. ok you can call me whatever you want but not in front of my friends ok?' 'They are already teasing me! I don't want them to continue it further.' 'Sure baby!' 'Ok now get ready soon birthday girl! Lot's of surprises stored for you!' Her father smiled patting her back.
'Birthday surprises?' 'Wow that's interesting!' She smiled brightly.
Will this start of another fresh year in her life bring more happiness? or does the destiny have some other plans for her in store?'
