and both started laughing...
suddenly for rano all the tensions flew away as she saw her baby laughing whole heartedly...the heart of mother started beating faster reliving the beautiful 22 years of raising this angel...and suddenly realising that its finally time for her baby to go to her husbands house...she knew it all the while and accepts that one day this angel will leave her house and will belong to someone else completely...tear threatened her eyes and hwr heart became heavy...another moment and she would hav cried had geet's voice not broke her thoughts...
geet (unaware of her moms thoughts spoke up) : ok this time i forgive u...but but
only because m not actually getting married (she said grinning)
as soon as rano realised wht geet said...she became more serious than ever
rano : well i am afraid u are (she spoke not sure herself about the whole thing)
geet : WHATT...! mom pls enough mazzak for today(said geet still not believing...all her laughter she had few seconds back flew out of the wind)
rano : why do u think m joking
geet : then why did you day i'm not getting married ( geet accused with baby face)
rano : when did i say...( she asked surprised as she couldn't recall saying any such thing)
geet (rolled her eyes) : ok you didnt say..but you didnt even corrected me when i said that
rano : now you r confusing me 😕
geet : no you are confusing me and also scarring me...and she started crying
rano (st) : uff..mai toh iss ladki k rone se pareshaan hu..babaji kua hoga iska harr baat pe ro deti hai...pata nhi office me kya karti hogi...?
although rano knew very well that her daughter is a strong headed girl...but aat the same time she just cannot control her emotions in front of her mom-dad and ends up crying for even small matters.
rano : geet...! enough you not a kid anymore to cry for anything
and everything.
geet (wipes her tears...as she realises that her mom is right)
few minutes in silence
geet was now thinking like a CA 😉 trying to know the root of all the mess that happened in her life in just ine day...and she knew there is more to come when her dad ia back
geet : parr aise achanak kya hua hai...that papa thinks i'm having an affair and he's soo angry...did someone brain-washed him...?

rano : i have no idea except that he is very angry and disturbed since last night
geet : what exactly did he tell you..?
on this rano recalls whole of the last night conversation with her husband

mr handa coomes home at 11 pm
and immediately summons rano in room
she was heating food for him in kitchen
she immediately moves to room sensing his not so good mood
as soon as she enters the room
mr handa (angrily) : wheres geet...?
rano : she slept (lied)
she knew geet is not in habit of sleeping before 2 am as she will be studying...and noe even after her exams are over she cannot sleep that early as habits take time to change...
she lied so that she can know tge situation herself first before her husbands mysterious anger bursts on their daughter.
mr handa (not convinced but doesnt push) : what do you do all day..?
rano (confused as to how matter shifted from geet to her...but well was it new..? that happened everytime) : ji...??
mr handa (sternly) : aisa kya karti ho purey di that you cant supervise what kids are doing..?
you should keep an eye on what they do all day, who they meet, and whom they talk on phone, and all...but no you are more intrested in your so called outings with your friends...bachhe ager bigad jaye toh tumhe usse kya fark padta hai...
(and it went on for another 10 mins with him saying no no showering anger on her to her)
he paused for a few seconds then continued
mr handa : i want her to be married asap
rano (was hell confused still not knowing knowing what the whole matter is all about...but the marriage thing scarred her the most...it was little too early for geet) : paar aise achanak...? aakhir baat kya hui hai...?
mr handa (didnt bother to answer her...as something else was bothering him than anything) : mujhe geet se yye ummeed nahi thhi...bahut disappoint kiya usne mujhe
rano (by now she knew it is something to do with what he hates the most) : aap shant ho jaye..mai baat karungi geet se...wo mujhe sabb batati hai kuchh chhupati nahi
mr handa : bass abb baat karne ka koi fayada nahi...maine faisla karr liya hai
rano (she knew she had to buy time to solve this...so thought to use her ultimate weapon..the emotional blackmail) : thik hai aapko jo thik lage wo kariye...bass mere aakhri sawal ka jawab de dijiye...kya geet ne aaj tak kabhi aapki baat kaati hai...ya fir aisa kuchh kiya jo aap ko pasand nahi...? you know she didnt...toh kya uska itna bhi haq nahi ki usse safai ka ek mauka miley...?
after thinking for few mins
mr handa : mai kal kaam se ja raha...6 pm wapas aaunga.
( and rano gets his message)

rano told all that happened last night to geet.
but geet was in some tranceand she didnt reply to rano
rano (to get her attention) : geet...!
geet (still in trance) : mom aap papa ko kitne achhe se samajhte ho...unhone kuchh kaha bhi nahi and you knew whats bothering him also how to make him feel better..
rano (smiled at her wordsbut decided to break her thoughts for nor now...but then she some naughty thought came to her) : dont worry you will also be the same after 23 years of you marriage (she said teasingly)
now that broke geet trance big time
geet : huh...!
(she frowned)
mumma pls mai itni problem me hu aur aapko mazzak sujh raha (she cribbed)
(now she her mind was back to her trouble)
mai papa se baat karu..?
rano : NO...! let me first talk to him and see his mood..anyway i'm sure he himself wants to talk to you ...i stopped him yesterday...
geet (she knew her mom is right) : my mom is best 😊
rano smiled and both decided to leave the topic for now as they could do nothing until they now wht the matter actually is...
at that time geets cell rang...and she went to her room to attend the call
and rano went to kitchen to prepare dinner as it was nearing evening.
