I do not think it is related to permissions...because I do not have any special permissions. Newbies have some restrictions but other than that it should work for everyone.

First, you try doing this - just copy paste the example from my post as-is, remove the asterisk symbols and check if it is working...once it works you can try for other URLs.

How do you add a link to a word? Suppose you need to give a link to your next update interlaced within words say chapter 5? What is the correct procedure to do it?

It is there in the Forum Code for URL

1) for direct link where the URL will be displayed for the link

[*URL]https://www.india-forums.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=4013931[/URL*]

2) Link where your custom text will be displayed for the link

[*URL=https://www.india-forums.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=4013931]How To Add Videos[/URL*]

Note: Remove the Asterisk (*) symbols at the start and end when you are using it.
