Part -52

Maan and Geet were going to KC.

Maan was driving the car. Geet though did not say anything since morning but Maan could sense that she was sad since night. She was sitting silently looking outside of the window.

Maan-Geet

And Geet turned her face towards him.He could see the sadness on her face

Maan-Geet-Are you ok?

Geet nodded her head-I m fine.

Maan kept his hand on her hand-Geet you still are thinking about Yash? Sambhaalo khud ko.Don't you think that he too will feel bad to see you in this condition? It will not help either you or yash if you remain in pain. If you have said him goodbye then let him go freely with a contended feel.

Gee.-Maan it's not that easy. Jitna kahne me asaan hai karne me utna hi mushkil. The person whom I loved, for whom I wanted to spend my life as his wife wanted to be free from me. It's painful Maan.

Maan-I know Geet but it's only you who will have to try it to come out of all this. I can't help you .I m always with you but you should help yourself. If you try I m sure everything will be fine .

Geet-I m trying Maan.Please give me some time

Maan-Hmm ..and he kept driving the car.

In Office day was as usual..Both had lunch together but the cabin was changed for the lunch. it was Maan's cabin now as Ram was not in the office.

few days later

Geet was little busy in FH. Today she had so many costumers that she forget about the lunch. So Maan was there to take her with him. His Phone buzzed and he received it. His eyes widened listening to the person talking on the other side-Is it? Are you sure? OMG I can't believe it. I expected to get one of them but I got three ? That's really great . Thanks ..Thanks a lot.

Geet was attending costumers and she listened to Maan's talk over phone. She was surprised to see Maan so excited . She even smiled to see him like that.Ram was not in office and maan wanted to share that with someone. Geet was infront of him . He cut the phone and came near Geet .

Geet looked at him -Kya hua Maan?

Maan being overexcited came more close to Geet and held her with the shoulder-Geet I m so happy ..and in over excitement he forget his surrounding and he hugged her tightly-Geet .. I got all three deals for which I worked hard.

And then after staying for few moments in the posture he parted from her he lifted her with her waist

and twirled her in the air- I m so happy.. then he put her down and again hugged her.

Geet mouth opened and after parting away he looked at her. When he saw Geet with open mouth, he remembered what he did a moment earlier. He looked around. Whole staff of FH and all the customers were standing around them., The staff of FH knew him as a reserved and strict employer but seeing him behaving like that, all were having a teasing smile on their faces. Customers were little surprised to see him doing that.Many of them knew him as a successful business man.

Geet was so shocked for his this sudden action but seeing him happy she did not say a word to him as she did not want to reduce his happiness but seeing everyone reacting in that way she was little embarrassed and apart from this embarrassment today she felt something else too . she was feeling little shy today. As Maan touched her something churned in her stomach

Maan and Geet looked at each other and Geet lowered her head. Maan looked around and then all started to clap for them. Geet too looked around and not able to bear those smiles she diverted her gaze towards the floor.

FH staff came forward to congratulate him. He accepted their wishes with a live smile on his face. Geet lifted her face and saw him accepting the wishes from all. In between he was looking at Geet too. Instead of feeling bad for that act of maan she was feeling good to see him. And She was little confused today at herself as she did not feel awkward or strange, on the other hand she was feeling little shy and she felt a hotness on her cheeks when she remembered those moments. After accepting the wishes Maan looked at her and she could not see in his eyes today and she averted her gaze from him.

Maan too was feeling little embarrassed so he said -Geet come soon.. and saying this he left from there without wasting any time.It was looking as if he was running from there to hide himself somewhere. Geet kept looking at him from the back. She smiled again with a mixture of some shyness and confusion and turned . She found pinky looking at her with a teasing smirk

Geet-What?

Pinky shook her head and said-Kuchh nahin..Your face is looking little red .Kya hua?

Geet - kyun? kya hua..kuchh bhi to nahin. Kaam karo.. jaao

Pinky -OK Boss ..and she went with a smile on her face.

Geet twisted her eyebrow in a thinking mode- What happened to me? Why I felt something different when Maan touched me and before she could investigate herself further , she remembered that Maan must be waiting for her so she left for the lunch.

In his Cabin Maan too was thinking at what he did in FH. He was little tensed now for the reaction of Geet.

Maan said to himself-Maan it's ok that you love her but you always cross your limits. What if she takes that all in wrong way? What if she doubts you? Agar usne kuchh pooch liya to kya kahoge usko?

And he saw Geet coming. He immediately pretended to be immersed in his work. Geet came there saw him doing work.She coughed to get his attention and Maan saw that she was not looking at him. He was sure now that she was angry on him. He knew that she would not say a word to him to show her anger but he had to say sorry to her and he said-Geet-I m sorry wo neeche jo kuchh bhi hua.. I was so excited that I did all that. I hope you won't take it wrong.I m really sorry

And Geet looked at him when he said sorry-Maan it's ok.I did not feel bad. I know you were so happy that time and you expressed it in that way Nothing else. So leave it.

Maan-Thanks Geet..

And they both had their lunch. They were stealing glances today as well as avoiding too to look at each other for some reasons. Maan for behaving in such a stupid manner and Geet for some other reason. She was not able to understand what happened with her today when Maan hugged her. It wasn't first time that Maan hugged her like this . It happened few days back too but why she was feeling little different today? He did that today in front of so many people still she did not feel bad for herself.

After they finished their lunch Geet said to Maan-Maan can we leave little early. I want to celebrate this happiness with all at home.

Maan-Haan I too thinking the same as papa is not here so I want to give him this news personally. I will not tell him on phone

Geet became happy-Al right. And she left.

Maan smiled and he was feeling good today at Geet did not take that act of his in an otherwise sense.

At evening both reached at home and Maan wanted to crack that news to Ram but he was his father who had taken a rest only for some days and was working from home so he already got that news .He hugged Maan with all the warmth and said-Maan I m proud of you. You did it and that too without my help. We were expecting only one deal ..at the max two but you got all three deals. They were so happy with your presentation and sincerity. I m so happy for you.

Maan -Thank u papa .but it's only your guidance that was able to do that.

Anie came and hugged maan- bhaiya congrats .. I m so happy. Aaj kuchh celebration ho jaaye.

Priya -off course ..bolo kahaan chalna hai.

Geet-maa can we celebrate it at home? I mean we should cook something special today. we can't express our happiness in any hotel or restaurant. I think I should make a cake and we will cut it here

Priya-theek hai but ghar me kyun banana ..market se le aate hain

Geet-Nahin maa please .. I want to do

Priya and Ram looked at other. Geet was looking little excited that mean that their plan was working.

Priya-Off course Geet ..do whatever you want..today we will celebrate Maan's success at home only. Now you go and change ..i m bringing tea for all.

Maan-Ok maa I m coming back. And he left ..Geet too went after him..priya saw them and smiled.

Ram winked at her and priya was like-you were right.

After having evening tea Geet was ready to make the cake and Priya said to Anie to help her .

Anie was ready to help but Geet said-It's ok Anie .. I will do it myself. It's only cake to cook nothing else. And she moved from there. Ram discussed about his plans to work on those three project which he got today. Maan explained her plan of action.

After discussing that Ram ashed Maan-Maan what about that shimla project which Yash started?

Maan-papa that is in it's finishing stage, few more months and it will be over .. Infect I m planning to go there next month to see the progress.

Ram-good.. I hope that project completes in time

Maan -Don't worry papa ho jaayega.

It was half an hour that Geet was in the kitchen. Priya told Maan that Suresh was not there as Meena was in her last days of pregnancy. Today she was not feeling good so he was with her.

Maan -and what about other servant?

Priya-he too has gone for some work. Dinner ban gaya hai ..bas Geet cake aur bana le phir sab celebrate karte hain.

Maan-Hmm.and he again got busy in talks with Ram.

When Geet did not return Maan thought to see what she was doing . Maan stood and headed towards the kitchen.

Ram-maan you need something?

Maan-haan wo I need water .

Priya-ask anie.. she will bring.

Maan-No maa it's ok I will take myself. And he entered the kitchen and he witnessed a lovely view of Geet there. Geet had mixed all the ingredients in a bowl and put that mixture in the microwave.

Though it was planned unexpectedly so everything was out of the cabinets. All the containers of ingredients were kept on the counter and everything was scattered on the counter. Geet was now putting them back in the cabinets. After keeping all the containers in the cabinets she turned and Maan's lips curved in to a smile. While mixing all the ingredients she must have touched her fingers on her cheek and he found some batter l stuck there. so she too was looking like some edible dish.

Geet saw Maan and asked-Maan aap yahaan? Bas ho gaya hai sab.Do you need something?

Maan-I was here to take water.

Geet-Ok I give you.

She poured some water in a glass and gave it to Maan. Maan was smiling to see her.

Geet looked at him and asked-What happened why are you smiling?

Maan-Geet tum caka banaane aayi thi ya khaane?

Geet was confused now-What are you saying ? Off course banaane hi aayi thi. And how can I eat that.it's still not baked

Maan-But it seems that you ate that.

Geet-No. How could I ? and Before Geet could say further she felt Maan's thumb on her cheek and her breaths stopped in her throat. She gulped her saliva and looked at him. He was looking at her face.

Geet felt her heart beating fast.. She closed her eyes when something churned in her stomach. And then She heard him-Geet ..ho gaya

Geet opened her eyes and looked at him confused. Maan showed his finger to her-batter was stuck on your face. Now it's clean. Geet looked at his fingers and saw the batter there. She got embarrassed-Wo I did not eat that .I think jaldbazi me haath lag gaya hoga .Thanks.

Maan-Hmm. It seems cake is ready .he signaled at microwave which was giving weeps that waking time was over.He took his glass of water and came out of the kitchen.

After Maan left Geet scolded herself-Geet what are you doing.. what is happening today with you? In office Maan was happy so he lifted you out of his excitement and you felt something else. And now too he was just removing the batter from your face and you thought again something else. BtW What is this strange happening to me? why I m feeling this churning effect in my stomach Whenever Maan is touching me ? Nothing is changed between us then why this changed effect?

Not getting any answer for his questions she again said-leave it Geet. Let's do our work and she started to decorating cake for the celebrations.

Geet brought the cake in the hall after decorating it. Her efforts were visible on the cake. She had decorated it in a very simple yet beautiful manner. Cake was covered with the cream and congratulations was written on it in a simple way with aqua blue colored cream.

All gathered around the cake and Maan asked Ram to cut that but Ram said that now he was going to handle all the responsibility to Maan so Maan should have cut that.

Maan nodded and was going to cut the cake but Ram stopped him- As you are going to celebrate your success so never forget to keep your better half with you. Geet come and cut it with your husband After all you both are going to take care of the heritage of this family and He signaled her to come forward and she came without any resistance. Priya asked Maan and Geet to cut the cake . Get put her hand on the knife and Maan put his hand on her.

Geet again felt somethi ng in her heart but she controlled herself and both cut tha cake and the family wished then good luck for the future too.

Maan fed the cake to Ram and Anie and Priya.

Ram-Geet ko kyun chhod diya. Don't you want to share this happiness with her.

Maan thought- I have already celebrated it with her but he fed the cake to Geet.

Geet ate that and then Anie said- Lo ab aap dono ko alag alag bolna padega kya .Bhabhi are you not happy with the success of Bhaiya?

Geet looked at her with questioning eyes. Anie again said-Then you too should fed the cake to bhaiya. after all your husband got such a big opportunity. Come on..let's celebrate it fully na.Geet was little hesitate today as she was felling some stupid things in her body. But Anie again asked her and she took a piece of cake and brought near Maan's mouth.

Maan with a smile had that cake with her hand-Thanks..

and Geet intantly took her hand back as when maan said thanks his lips touched with her fingers and she felt a tickling in her fingertips.

Maan looked at her surprised as he felt that weird reaction of Geet but shrugged his thoughts as he took it as her hesitation.

After that all had their dinner and went to their rooms to sleep.

Maan and Geet changed in to their night dresses and settled in their respective places. Maan was very happy today and Geet could clearly notice that. She smiled to see him excited and exactly then Maan saw her smiling-Geet kya baat hai why are you smiling?

Geet-I m smiling to see you so happy. I never saw you too happy.

Maan-Geet this is the pleasure to get something by my own efforts. I could see papa happy for me as I got those deals. I m too feeling proud of myself to show papa that I m capable to do the business.

Geet-Off course you are capable when did you have a doubt on yourself? I had full confidence that you would get those deals.. maine to kaha bhi tha aapse uss din.

Maan-Yes I remember that.

Geet -Now sleep.other wise you will not be able to sleep in your happiness.

Man-I don't think that I will be able to sleep.

Geet laughed at this and said-Good night .and she turned towards the other side

Maan too wished her and tried to sleep and he closed his eyes. But today sleep was away from Geet's eyes. She turned again after some time. She looked at Maan . he had slept till then . Geet stared at him for some time .. she did not understand why she was behaving like that. She stayed in that position for sometime . With a smile on her face and closed her eyes to sleep.

Few more days passed..Geet's confusion on her feelings was increasing day by day. Maan was behaving with her like he behaved always but Geet was feeling different reactions on his every gestures. Maan was oblivious of this as he did not expect so quick changes in Geet.. So Geet was more confused at herself as she could see Maan still behaving in that friendly manner like before.

Maan was in his cabin .. His phone rang and he picked up the call. It was Shekhar on the other side. He told maan about the alumni meet in the college.

Maan replied him to inform later if he could attend that meet or not. Later he told Geet if she wanted to attend that meet with him as all were invited with their spouses. He did not expect Geet to say yes as they never attended any party as couple till now.

But to his surprise Geet said yes to accompany him to the meet. Maan felt happy and he informed shekhar about their coming to the party. It was next day in the evening.
