Next Day

Maan and Geet returned early from the office as they had to attend the almini meet. Geet wore a saree. It was a orange saree with a matching neckpiece and earrings. She was looking simple yet gorgeous. Maan looked at her and for a moment lost in her. Geet looked at him and saw him lost. But before she could understand anything Anie came and whistled seeing her-Wow Bhabhi you are looking so beautiful.

Priya too came there -Anie is right..you are really looking beautiful Geet ..saying this she took some kajal from her eye and put a black spot behind Geet's ear.Geet got shied hearing her praise and looked at Maan to see some admiration in his eyes for herself but till then maan had made himself composed and now he was not looking at her. He knew that he will not be able to stop himself from admiring her. Geet got disappointed for not getting that look from Maan. She did not know why she was expecting this from Maan and why she was disappointed for not getting that desired response from Maan.

Maan-Geet chalen?. and Geet nodded her head and both left for the meet. While driving Maan was stealing glances at Geet but whenever Geet looked at him he averted his gaze from her. They reached college and entered through the reception area. For their surprise everyone was present there . It seemed like all were waiting for them.

All welcomed Maan and Geet and took them to the corner of the reception hall. There Maan and Geet found a big portrait of Yash with the garland on it. Geet looked at that and felt herself chocked with emotions.Maan was not less then her.

Principal asked geet and Maan to pay their homage to Yash first. Geet's hand were trembling today but Maan held her hand in his and blinked his both eyes to say her to handle herself. Though Maan too was feeling very emotional to see his brother in the form of the portrait but there are something on which human don't have their control. After maan and Geet paid their homage all stood silent for two minutes and paid their homage to Yash. Maan was holding Geet's hand during that session so that Geet did not feel week. ( Don't be confused to see only Yash"s portrait. They are paying the homage to him as he was their class mate.This is their first official meet at college after they all passed out from here)

After paying the homage all moved towards the party hall.

They started to chat and came out of that gloomy mood while chatting. After sometime started to talk about the life .. they all were meeting first time after they left college so they wanted to know each and everything about each other -what they were doing and how the life was going on. After they all discussed about the life. someone made an announcement.-Attention please ..I know that we all are curious to know about each other and after knowing that it's time to enjoy the party. I hope we all are gathered here only to do that. So let's enjoy the party Guys and he signaled to DJ to play the music. Music started and that person again announced-I invite all the friends to join the dance floor with their love..come on Guys..and one by one they all started to join the dance floor. Geet was standing with some girls who were from the field of designing and knowing it from Maan that she is running a big FH, they all were chatting with her about the new trends. Maan too was standing with shekhar and some other friends..Shekhar knew everything about Maan and Geet . he knew how they got married. He was talking on some random topic with Maan. The person who made tha announcement came near Maan and said-What is this Maan? You have such a beautiful wife and see you are standing here alone .Come on take your wife to the dance floor.

Maan-No sumit .. we are fine ..

Sumit-No way Maan ..we all want to see you dancing with your wife and he called Geet-Hey Geet come here. Geet heard him and excused herself from the girls and came near them

Sumit-Geet..it seems that maan does not take proper care of you.

Geet-What are you saying? I could not get you

Sumit-I m saying very true. If I had such a beautiful wife I would have not left her for a moment but I m not that lucky as I m still unmarried and here see this Maan he is standing too far from you.

Maan and Geet looked at each other . Shekhar wanted to stop Sumit but he was not listening to him-Come on Maan Geet come yaar have a dance see what a romantic music is being played here. Come on and he dragged Maan and Geet towards the dance floor. He himself found some old friend for the dance who was attending that party alone.

Now Geet and maan were standing surrounded by the crowd of crazy dancers. Dance floor was overcrowded. Geet was looking here and there and she was playing with the corner of her saree. Maan had come to know about Geet's habit to play with her dress in nervousness. He smiled and took the advantage of the moment. He did not want to miss that chance. He brought his hand forward

held her hand and put it on his shoulder

and then held her other hand. Then he slipped his hand to hold her waist

and in this effort geet came more close to him. Geet s breath stuck and she felt some dryness in her throat as Maan touched her.

Geet looked at him and he blinked his eyes to make her feel comfortable. She gulped her saliva . She nodded and they started their dance Maan was enjoying the dance as it was a blissful moment for him to come this close to geet but Geet was feeling little uncomfortable as she could not get what she was feeling.

She was feeling a tingling sensation in her body. At the beginning she was looking here and there as she did not want to look at Maan . once she turned her face and her eyes met with maan's eyes. She found him staring at herself and his brown almond shaped eyes captured her sight.

Once she looked in those eyes she forgot to blink her eyes. He was looking at her without blinking his eyes. Geet s eyes roamed on Maan's face from one eye to another in search of her questions. What was that? Was he too feeling the same what she was feeling?

Maan turned her while dancing and now her back was touching his chest .Maan was taking in that sweet aroma of his wife and lost in her.

His hot breath was fanning her neck Geet's felt some hotness on her cheeks with that close proximity .She turned again her face and looked back to see in his eyes and found him staring with an intense gaze.

Today nothing was seeming strange or weird. A smile adored her lips. A blush followed that smile and a hue made her cheeks pink in color .Just then Maan again turned her and they were facing now eachother. Maan found her with some different expressions today. Before he could guess Geet noticed him looking at her with some confusion and she quickly composed herself by lowering her eyes. She turned her face to hide her feelings from Maan.Maan shook her head and they continued their dancing .

But may be that was not enough for Geet today. Floor was over crowded and someone pushed Geet from behind while dancing and Geet almost glued to Maan due to the impact of that push and Geet clutched his shirt to balance herself.

But Maan had already held her protectively in his arms.Geet's face was on maan's crook and maan's one arm was on her shoulder and other was on her waist. She was breathing faster and Maan could feel her hot breathes on his neck. He wanted time to stop there itself . He was holding her tight in his arms. After she felt safe, she parted her face away from Maan .Her hair were on her face. Maan removed her hair from her face and she tried to be apart from him but a low shriek came out of her mouth-Ahh and she instantly came close again and this time Maan was not ready for that and he lowered his face to see what happened to Geet again. At the same time Geet looked up at him in embarrassment and in that process Maan's lips brushed to her cheeks . Maan felt all his blood rushing faster. there was a strange sensation in his body and Geet froze at her place with that touch.

Maan composed himself after getting that sweet torture and looked at her .Geet was standing there without blinking her eyes. From last few days so many new feelings were hitting her. Maan noticed that long hair stuck in the button of his waistcoat. He again brought her closer to take her hair out of the button. He removed them and looked at Geet.

Geet lowered her eyes-Sorry someone pushed me . As Geet said this she again felt a push and she again was near Maan. Maan again held her in his arms. Some people were drunk and losing control on their bodies and result was in the forms of those pushes.

Maan-It's ok Geet. It's very crowded here ..let's go from here

Geet nodded her head in acceptance. He was still holding her in his strong and protective arms and brought her out of that crowded floor safely.

He made her settled on the sofa and asked-Are you alright geet?

Geet-yes I m fine .

Maan-do you need something to drink?

Geet-Yes a glass of water ..she was feeling so many butterflies in her stomach with hat closeness of Maan.

Maan called a waiter who was passing by and picked up the glass of the water and gave to Geet. He settled beside her and said-Geet I m really sorry If you felt uncomfortable there. If I had refused to dance that time, they all would have teased us and I did not want that to happen. We both know that we are friends but for themr all we are husband and wife. They don't know anything about us. So please don't think anything wrong about that. I m really sorry whatever happened there.

Maan was talking about that push which Geet experienced twice and Geet thought that he was talking about whatever transpired between them as she was only thinking about those moments.

Geet was little disappointed at that explanation but said-It's ok maan ..I can understand. We are here as a couple so we have to present ourselves like that..But in real Geet's castle of hopes crashed down. Though she did not know what she was feeling as these feeling were all new to her. She did not know that it was love still wanted not to regret those feelings. She thought in her mind-Geet idiot..what were you thinking? Maan and you are only friend.. Nothing is changed there . See maan was only pretending to show his friends nothing else..stop thinking like this. He is your friend and will always be like a friend. You are his wife but only for the worlds. So don't try to build the castles in the air. They do not have any existence. She scolded herself and smacked her head in her mind to think like that.

All were tired after dancing so were sitting in the group and were chatting about the life of College. One by one secrets were coming out of the past. some were hilarious and some were really serious. But everyone was taking them with open heart as they were talking about their past . Suddenly someone said-Does someone knows about Maan's secret which we all don't know

And shekhar said-Yes I know a secret of maan..which No one knows. All were curious to know what was that. Maan too was surprised to hear that. He looked at Shekhar with some confusion and he winked at Maan.

Sumit-Shekhar ..bata na yaar jaldi..ye dono bhai to hum sabse ekdum alag the ...but I m happy to know that maan too had a secret. What was that?

Shekhar-Do you know that during our third year maan wrote a songs. That too a romantic one.

And Maan's mouth was wide open on this revelation-(ST) Oh no ...how he knew about that. I did not tell anyone about that, even Yash was not aware of this.

Geet too was surprised to know that as no one in the family ever mentioned about this talent of Maan.

Sumit-So Maan now we all know your secret., to wo wala gana ho jaaye

Maan-No way ..Shekhar Yaar It was just a stupid attempt..wo to bas aise hi ulta pulta likh diya btha .

Shekhar-So what ? we want to hear that stupid attempt..come on maan. And someone gave the guitar to Maan as he was fond of playing Guitar in college time . It was his hobby. Maan held the guitar and looked at Geet who was just sitting near him.

Maan played with the strings of guitar and started to sing..

Maan s eyes met once with Geet for a moment while singing the next part of the song..He was singing from the bottom of his heart so the voice to turned heavenly as it was full of love. But Geet was thinking something else.She could feel the depth of that voice but she knew that it was not for her

Geet had little tears in her eyes thinking about Maan. She felt bad for him as hecould not get his love in his life for which he wrote that song..First it was Arpita with whom he could not develop the feeling of love and she left the world before that could happened. And now she herself, whom he considered a friend always and was forced in to this marriage like she was forced by tha family.

Song ended and all clapped for him and Geet came out of her thought with the sound of the claps.She wiped her eyes and she too clapped for him.She tried her best to hide her feelings and kept a flat face, Maan again looked at her and she smiled and gave a thumb up for that song.Maan smiled and muttered a thanks but was little disappointed finding no effectof that song on her.He sighed and kept the guitar aside...

Party was going to be over. Maan and shekhar were talking at one side

Geet was talking to some other friends of Maan.

Shekhar-Sooo you love her? Right

Maan-What? N..nahin to..

Shekhar-Come on Maan..when I can know about your song writing then you should know that I know some other facts too related that song.

Maan looked at him-what do you want to say?

Shekhar-Maan I know that you wrote that song for your future love. You had dedicated the song for your soulmate whom you did not know.I clearly remember it you had written this line below the song-Dedicated to my future soulmate whom I don't know. Why don't you tell her Maan that you love her. I noticed at the dance floor . The way you were holding her was clearly showing your feelings for her.

Maan was speechless as Shekahr had pressed his right nerve. After a pause he said-You are right Shekhar. I love Geet but the problem is that I loved her since we were not married.This is the weak point of my love. Pata nahin kab aur kaise mujhe usse pyar ho gaya. Worst part is that she knows that I could not develop the feelings of love Arpita inspite of spending few months together. Time fell short for us to reach that point in our life and Arpita left us with Yash. I took the responsibility of Geet to make her settled but started to love her in that effort. I m scared now to tell her that I love her. I m scared for her reaction to tell her that I love her before our marriage as I can't lie to her. She was emotionally attached to Yash and she can think my love for her as a sin. she was not ready for the marriage and was broken badly that day. And that day I promised her to be her friend only. I don't need anything else in that relationship. I can wait for her for my whole life. I m hopeful that one day she will love me like I love her. Till then I m happy to have her beside me. I don't want to lose her in the hope of getting her love. I have that much patience in me.

Geet had finished her talks so she came to call Maan as she was feeling tired. It was quite late now. She was about to call Maan but heard his next set of words.

Maan-mere aur Geet ke beech me sirf ek hi rishta hai aur wo rishta dosti ka hai. We are couple for the family and for the world but inside our bedroom we live together as roommates who care for each other and are best friends.

Geet got e confirmation from Maan's last set of words that they could be friends only.No other relation was possible between them. She smiled and came forward to call Maan to leave for home.
