PART 2. SECOND CRASH

Geet grinned as the groom arrived. Haaye! Naina Didi aur Dev Jiju ki Jodi kitni perfect hain, nahi? Hey Babaji! Mere liye bhi ek aisa hi pyaar sa Dulha dhoondna! As the groom entered, Geet stopped him and asked for money as it was her duty as the Saali of the Dulha. After lots of nagging and teasing, Dev handed over the money which Geet eagerly took away with a grin. After lots of teasing and jokes, groom was taken to the mandap and Geet's eyes fell on Maan who stood stoically beside Dev looking serious and intimidating. Arre! Kitne ghussail hain yeh? Geet wondered. Dekho toh! Bhai ki shaadi mein bhi maatam waala chehra leke ghoom rahe hain! Thoda has dete, muskura dete toh kya jaata! Aur chehre ki seriousness toh dekho! Koi bol sakta hai ki 25 saal ke hain! Harqatein toh saat sattaron waale jaisi hain! Maan looked at her and Geet's eyes widened and she looked down. Hey Babaji! Kahin uss Khadus Khurana ne mujhe dekh toh nahi liya! Bacha lena Babaji! She looked up nervously and saw Maan missing. She heaved a sigh of relief. Bach gaye! Chale gaye! Babaji! Mujhe us khadus se door rakhna please!

Soon, the mantra chanting ended and the Pandit called up for the Bride to sit in the Mandap. Naintara's mother told Geet to come with her to bring NT down. Geet smiled and turned around only to crash right into Maan. NT's mother had walked away and did not notice Geet stopping.

Geet's eyes widened in shock and she shouted, "Aap?" Maan was about to say something when Geet spoke up, "Dekhke nahi chal sakte aap? Har waqt takraana jaroori hai kya?" Even though Geet was still scared of Maan, she remembered their fight enough to feel annoyed at him. Maan's eyes narrowed. He remained quiet for few seconds and then as if coming out of stupor, he spoke up, "Tum auratein apne aapko samajhti kya ho? Jab dekho ladne ke liye ready rehti ho! Lagta hai ladne ke siva kuch aata hi nahi hai tumhein!" Geet's jaw dropped open and she was about to reply something when NT's mother, who noticed her missing, hollered for her and she pointed a finger at Maan, "Aapko toh main baad mein dekh lungi!" Maan rolled his eyes and she stormed away. But their fight was not over so easily. Another crash and bangs coming soon!
